“You’re free to go,” he said, “but trust me, you won’t want to.”
F*ck. This man will be the death of me, he really will. Of the things that should stay in the past… James Wolff was one of them. Debonair and bite-my-lip sexy. He’s made of money and could talk a devout Christian into bed with him. If only we weren’t perfect for each other, it would make things so much easier… And then I could leave, and not come crawling back like I do every time. He’s a man running away from past demons, And I’m the one who accidentally published all of his dirty secrets. Before any of this, I was the one helping him through it all. Now it looks like I’m the bad one.
But If you knew what I knew, would you stay — or would you run?
This was a very sweet story of falling in love and having to overcome an issue that threatens that love. Elise has a chance meeting with James at a gala. Flirtation ensues and we get to follow the couple as they fall for one another. A high profile business deal, an unscrupulous boss, and ghosts of the past create trouble for the new couple. The story is a medium burn romance with a very promising storyline. Allie does a good job of creating believable and relatable characters. Overall, I enjoyed Beyond Broken.

I really liked this book and I definitely get what I expect from Allie Hayden. Love, romance, angst, drama, a great sassy strong but also slightly naive heroine and a wonderful strong sexy hero who treats his heroine like his whole world.
Elise and James is a great couple and I just felt so comfortable in their company. The great thing is that they take the though conversations and even though he has problems with trust and pride he figures out that living alone and working all the time instead of being with the love of his life and getting her support throughout his business endeavors doesn’t make a life.
Some of the things I missed in this story was the friendship between the friends and the four business partners. I know that it was there in the end throughout some of James’s POV but I would love to see more of that and see the females meet and bond and see how Tristan and Karissa is doing in their relationship. I also felt that Elise was a little too naive towards her employer and the way she was treated. I know she loved her job but that would never be ok in my world.
I can definitely recommend this book if you are in the mood for a sweet, steamy romance with amazing characters and a great storyline.

James is one of the four members of the quickest growing billionaire companies in the world. The company has decided to take on New York’s financial district. While at a gala he meets Elisa, a journalist for a magazine. He helps her out of a sticky situation and ends up being photographed with James on the red carpet. When her boss sees the photo she wants Elise to get an interview with him. His response is he wants to meet her casually first. Needless to say one thing leads to another and they are and they decide to casually start seeing each other until they realize they want to be exclusive. Everything goes great until he’s so busy with work that for a few weeks he doesn’t have time for her and she isn’t happy and very insecure. When the article about him is published in the magazine it isn’t what it was suppose to be and things take a turn for the worst. Will they be able to work things out or are they done for good?

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "BEYOND BROKEN" This was my first read by Allie Hayden it's full of drama, angst, passion, humor, past issues, secrets revealed, I enjoyed the storyline and tbe characters. Elise is a journalist working for a magazine her editor wants her to go to a gala this is where she meets the gorgeous billionaire James Wolff he's the CEO of one of the largest companies along with three other members. At the gala James helps her out and ends being photographed with him when her editor sees the photo she wants Elise to interview James Wolff. James comes to NYC to open a second office and wants to spend more to time with Elise she gets info on him and it gets published in the magazine but it wasn't her doing this causes problems with her relationship to James. I definitely recommend to get this delightful romance well worth the read I thoroughly enjoyed this book the story flowed nicely and I liked the characters.
Elise works for a gossip magazine and has been sent to a charity ball to get an interview with someone rich and famous. James is the CEO of a tech company that is hoping to expand its territory and happens to sit beside Elise. When her boss catches a glimpse of them together in a photo, she lets Elise know that it's James she wants her to interview. As they talk, they find it's easy to share their story and information about their pasts, even the ugly parts. A sense of trust has been built during the time they've spent together. Elise's article is printed but there's something dreadfully wrong with it! The repercussions are swift and devastating for this pair and it seems there is no happy ending in sight. The road to their happiness is sometimes difficult and it's filled with angst, hope and love. Another satisfying story from Allie Hayden.
The majority of this book is about James Wolff and a newspaper reporter Elise, whom is supposed to interview him, but is invited out socially and things escalate from there. It isn't until towards the end (and it happens over a very short span on the book), that the break up and then have their HEA. I always thought Second Chance romances were about the ones that got away and years later have a second chance, but I could be wrong.
I enjoyed this book, and wish I could have read it over one sitting, but I know that I'll enjoy going back and reading this again.
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I loved the book. The characters meshed really well. I do feel though that at the beginning James could have had a bit of a confrontation with Elise's ex to stake his claim on her. Everything felt too organic... There could have been a bit more drama. But, hands down I absolutely loved the story. My only wish is that the end had an epilogue. Now I'm left wondering what has happened. Did they get married? Do they have kids? Too much is swirling in my mind right now. But, I am sticking to my guns. They were picture perfect. I loved them.

Elise never thought going to a Gala would end up the way it was. James sat down next to Elise and un-beknown to her he was a multimillionaire opening up a new office in New York while the rest of the guys in the company were still out in California. How well they were getting along only to have an interview (notes) turn and not by who you think (well maybe you will). This book ran the whole circuit....cold, hot, steamy hot, heartbreak and make-up. One thing I will say is that I will be reading more of this authors work.

James had a rough start in life but that only made him determined to do better than the sorry example his father set. Elise brought what was missing into his life...but he almost messed up for good by letting her go. Took his mom and words from an older businessman to help him see what was there the whole time!!! And shame on trifling Meghan...smh! I loved the continued series for T.E.P.S. Can’t wait to see which one will fall next...

Despite enjoying the book, it had a good storyline and characters, there were a few things that just didn't do it for me. One, pick different names for her idol and the singer. Too cutesy. Two, yes he had a hit of a crappy life, but to make it sound like he was from an abusive poor household was a bit much. And three, he started out like he was going to be this huge alpha male and then nothing. Also the dinner meeting was too much. We really don't need to know that much about a merger.

There are events that happen to us in life and spending some quiet time contemplating and reflecting on this story, I wonder how often we feel we are beyond broken and can never be fixed? James had a traumatic time in his life that changed his outlook and who he let into his circle of trust. Was this book titled for the event in his childhood or what he perceived as a betrayal of trust? Allie Hayden takes me deeper into inner reflection as I read her books.

This story has a very engaging storyline, a bit on the unique side. I questioned whether love would find a way to the hearts of our lead characters on several occasions. Lots of angst to keep it interesting and a bit of heat to keep it real. But the characters, of course, are what truly make the book. The author does a good job of describing the events so that it feels like you are in the room with the characters. As if you have a ringside seat looking into their lives. This was a one-sitting read for me. I just had to get to the end to make sure that a HEA was going to happen.
This is a Booksprout ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.
This was not the best book I have read by Allie Hayden. It is billed as a second chance romance and I feel that’s inaccurate. This couple had one argument and reunited in a few weeks. Generally, a second chance trope requires a several year break.
I did not find the writing to be consistent. There are phrases used by both main characters that feel disingenuous. The entire plot felt forced and like parts of the story were skipped or removed to keep the book brief.
Another good read from Allie Hayden. Elise does in depth articles about celebrities. And one evening she is "gifted" a ticket to an extravagance where she happens to be seated next to someone new in town, someone famous and worthy of one of Elise's articles, James Wolff. As Elise gets to know James, professionally and otherwise, their relationship quickly develops. But James is in town to open a new office for his firm and garner new business, and when he runs into trouble with this and has to put their relationship on hold, trouble will happen, and their relationship will be broken.

Elise works at a magazine interviewing important people. It was a charity affair that she met James and thought him very handsome. James saves her from an ex and gives her is card. Elise's boss wants her to interview James. She does and something sparks between them. Things are going well until they aren't. Due to a misunderstanding they break apart until James realizes is err. Will Elise take James back? Lovely ending.
Beyond Broken is a Intersting, captivating and a second chance love story. Its a page turner and kept my interest throughout the story. It was wonderful written and a good storyline. Get lost in the world of the rich and famous. A chance meeting at a gala starts this baby off. James Wolff on the rise to greatness meets Elise who there to write about the event. Little does she know her world is about to change. Doors are opened, secrets are revealed and a world of drama is about to explode.
Beautiful story between James, a billionaire who comes to New York to develop his company, and Elise, a journalist. The connect immediately and have crazy chemistry. It sorts of feel like a fairytale at times. I really enjoyed reading this story.

I have to admit that this book did not pull me in as much as all other Allie's books. The beginning of the story dragged on and those meetings. It was as though she didn't write this, so yeah, the only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because I like the author's previous books.

Beyond Broken By Allie Hayden Main Characters: Elise and James I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author. 3 1/2 out of 5 stars Sweet romance. I loved the m/c and the storyline. I have read a few of her books and would definitely continue to read them. I did, however, feel the ending was a little rushed.
*Spoilers* Overall, I thought this was a good book. The storyline was good if a bit slow at first. Once it picked up, I read it straight through. I thought Elise was a great main character. She giggles a lot which drove me a bit nuts. James is a hard worker trying to build his company up. He’s got a bad past, she’s got a neurotic boss who’s a backstabber. However, there is a happy ending coming!

This is a fun read. Not really a surprising read, hot billionaire meets a woman who isn't rich…… Nevertheless I did enjoy reading it. The characters are pretty well developped, it's well written and makes for a pleasant way to lose yourself for a few hours.
The author has given us characters that we can understand. James and Elise meet at a gala and know they would like to spend more time together, getting to know one another.

This storyline has attraction, romance, chance encounter, possible HEA, an alpha Male Hero whose past was not the best, a heroine who fills the void, and some good advice from helpful people. I liked it.

James and Elise will have to get past betrayal, mistrust, misunderstandings and more to findbl their HEA! Chemistry, emotions and heat make this a great read!
