I have been dreaming about fictional worlds since I was a kid. I devoured anything related to fantasy and science fiction. I developed a setting over the last twenty years and struggled to find a medium I could express it in. Several years ago, I discovered I enjoyed writing. It is a passion of mine now, and exploring my setting with it has been an awesome journey.

I work in the information technology field and have my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in it. It has helped me to shape some of the concepts I write about. I also enjoy keeping up on futurology and science in general.

I live in central Ohio and enjoy walking, reading, gaming, learning, listening to music, and trying to keep up on my never-ending list of TV shows and movies to watch. If you want to contact me, you can do so on my website at

The Unification (The Evaran Chronciles, #9) by Adair Hart is a book I requested and the review is voluntary. I have been with this series from the beginning and it just gets better! This author knows what his audience needs!
In this adventure the gang of space travelers meets so many new people and worlds, some with good endings and some not so good.😣 A few end up traveling with them as they face danger, excitement, New places and time, learn new things, and it is never boring! I like how they all closer then family! Emily gets on my nerves at times, but I think that's just me! Lol! I love all of Evaran's new toys! (Men and their stuff, time, space, or distance...they never change!)
I hope we see Kess as more of a regular. Maybe more with the dog people!
Great story! Can't wait for more!

Total Score: 5/5

Summary:
Evaran and the crew are once again summoned into a distant future to deal with something that has gone wrong. Now Dr. James Bryson, a friend a college of Dr. Snowden, joins them after he received a mysterious message to meet Dr. Snowden at his home. The trip will take them to the far reaches of the galaxy meeting the Orions, a seemingly computerized advanced race, but is that all they are? The future of humanity may rest on their hands as invaders attempt to destroy all that the descendants of Earth has struggled to create.

This was a fascinating look upon one possible future if mankind leaps to travel into space. I enjoyed how each character continues to grow and evolve as the series continues. The evolution of humankind took an unexpected and fascinating twist in this story. It was interesting how Emily and Dr Snowden lost some of the cosmic energy in the last book and with the others help learned that there is more to their abilities than just brute strength. The AI V has become more “human” taking on personality and humor as the series continues. I think a big part of this is the other members treating as much more than just a machine. And last but not least Evaran who always does what is right and best even when that is not the easiest road.

While feeling down about the loss of nanobots and dimensional energy, Emily and Doctor Snowden, along with Evaran and V, received a summons from Evaran’s ship, the Torvatta. There is a future timeline anomaly that must be addressed and corrected.

Summonses are generally adventurous opportunities that introduce the group to new and usually dangerous situations. With their diminished defenses, Doctor Snowden and Emily are apprehensive. However, Doctor Snowden has his life long friend, Doctor Bryson, with him for this adventure and he helps lift Snowden’s spirits.

Doctor Snowden meets an interesting and sassy woman from the year AD 514,723 who represents an advanced future human species’ spinoff. Several of her race’s communication satellites have been destroyed and she needs help figuring out who or what is destroying them. With Evaran’s help, the group finds out that dimensional energies from an unknown source are being used to effectively shield hostile battleships that are destroying the satellites and going on to destroy all technological advancements of nearby inhabited worlds.

In order to protect humanities’ future and correct the timeline, Evaran and the group take on an other-dimensional being in a fight that they almost loose. The battle is won of course by our heroic group and timeline integrity is reestablished. As a result of this threatening experience, the human spinoff race worlds elect to unify under a federation headquartered on old Earth.

The Evaran series is probably one of the best Sci-Fi book series that I’ve read in a long time. For me, only a few surpass it; Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series, Jack Campbell’s Lost Fleet series, Kevin J. Anderson’s Saga of the Seven Suns series and David Brin’s Uplift trilogy. I really enjoy this series and, when finishing every book, I wonder when the series will end. Fortunately, the author, Adair Hart, surprises me by coming out with another innovative story that adds a plausible continuation to the Evaran story.

Review of The Unification: Book #9 of the Evaran Chronicles

Another great book to add to the Evaran Chronicles. Now I 'm looking to book 10. I hope you will enjoy reading as much as I did.
