The style in which this book was written was unpleasant. For most of the book, the font was absurdly small. I wish I could insert a photo, but it was about 4-point font and tightly packed onto each page, with few graphics to break it up. There were whole-page illustrations that were so cartoon-ish that they offered no help as far as what an actual garment or outfit might look like. A lot of the "advice" consisted of long quotes from style icons about what they prefer, or sage tips like "putting things on and taking them off again". If you're looking to actually find out what your style is, I would recommend "The Curated Closet", or if you'd like to read about style itself, Simon Doonan's "Eccentric Glamour" is far more fun.
