My boss is older and out of my league, but he wants me too…

Or does he?
He’s hot and cold. Close and distant.
I don’t know what he wants. What he wants from me. If he even wants me around.
I might end up losing my job because we can’t keep our hands off each other.
He loves his son, he’s a good parent…but he has a past.
His ex.
His military past.
He has walls up around him and I know I can’t get past them.
The only thing I can do is go on living my life.
Try and pretend like he doesn’t exist.
I just hope I don’t end up doing something stupid…just to forget him. Just to get him off my mind.

But I have a secret too. I’m running from something too. I hope he never finds out.

Oh please!!🙏🙏🙏 Stop painting these excuses for a human being as "heroes" of romances. The only thing I would like to have from such a pig is distance. The guy treats her like disposable garbage, throw her out and still lies to his five years son who was suffering because she left saying that she didn't want to be friends with him anymore! What a fucking monster do that with a kid? How low is that? And do you think this has been fixed ?? No, the author didn't bother in fix that. He says he misses her but it seemed more that he missed was the convenience of a fuck buddy and someone who could take care of his son. We still have the fact that another woman approached him at the gym and certainly he was not sooooo passionate about h when he noticed how HOT ow was and when he considered being with her to overcome h. It just didn't happen because he found out that the meeting was set up by his mother. So we can already imagine where that would have gone. Yeah , yeah ...I don't see anything of love here. And the ending is completely ridiculous. He sent her away without even looking back, without the slightest consideration for her feeling and his son and only when he saw that it wouldn't be easy to live with the kid he conveniently changed his mind and then "I love you" with no (nothing! nada!) groveling and boom , she falls into his arms again. HEA. In one word? Mediocre.

I’ve read a lot of (what I consider to be) rubbish in my time, but I’ve never quit a book at the 95% mark.

If i dnf a book, it’s usually at 10% or even 50%; but 95%...? Never.
I need closure. Any broken pieces put back together with a nice HEA.

This ☝️is me genuinely not knowing what to say, while knowing I can’t NOT say anything. I also don’t want to postpone this review because Ive already deleted the book from my device. There’s no coming back to this one. Ever. Never.

Apart from:
The aimless heroine
The emo almost-alpha hero
The scheming ex wife
A blackmailing slimeball
An interfering mother
The groping drunkards
The college theme that isn’t actually a theme
Kidnapping...

I have no positive feelings for this heroine.
She’s not broken, so I can’t pity her nor root for her
Was brought up by a loving sister. She’s in college. She has options. She’s loved. She’s independent.
She’s an idiot.
A twit.
A loser.
I see no logical reason for the way her mind works; the paths she chooses. The narration is first person and being in her mind is unsettling and unpleasant.
ONE good reason for her presence was the close bond she had with his child. An emotionally fragile 5 year old boy who, for some inexplicable reason, is drawn to her. She’s his safe place. His comfort.
Until she carelessly, abandons her job as his live-in nanny. One day she just slinks away before he wakes up, without a goodbye or an explanation. He’s devastated. He’s still recovering from traumatic events and she leaves him.
All because she’s not getting her way with his father, who rejects their relationship; she’s miffed, so she leaves.
To work in a club:
“the men there are seedy....they hit on you and tip you if you reciprocate.”

“Why would you leave a perfectly decent babysitting job to do this?”

“I felt self-destructive....I wanted to feel something, even if it meant feeling sick and angry. I just wanted to find an outlet out of Eric’s world...”

Every decision she makes is based on ridiculousness. She’s creepy. She latches onto a hero who makes no promises. In fact, he constantly rejects her advances, even after they are intimate. (not loving or anything deep; it’s just pure sex) She KNOWS he’s two-minded yet she gets all affronted when he doesn’t give in to her want for more.

“It made me sick to my stomach to recall the way Eric rejected me last night. How stupid was I?”

“I had nowhere to live. I wasn’t interested in school. The man I wanted was gone and didn’t want me.”

The hero is just a single dad who loves his broken son. He seems lost and vulnerable. He’s quite assholish in his own choices, knowing it can cause all sorts of trouble for the well-being of his son.

I mostly felt sorry for him because all these women demand a piece of him: his evil ex wife, the weird h, a simpleton fellow gym-goer, his crazy mother...poor man doesn’t know his ass from his elbow. His decisions are also highly questionable; often downright stupid, but the man is trying, for shits sake. I’m not one to simply forgive a jerk hero but Eric is just...he’s just there. Nothing spectacular except his admirable quest for a good life for himself and his son.

So there I am a few chapters before the end and I’m wondering why on earth I’m still reading this.
I don’t want them together.
I don’t want little James to grow up in her flighty presence.
I don’t want Eric to care for her.
I don’t want to see her grow up and mature or not grow up and mature.
I don’t want their story
I don’t want their existence on my reader.

I do want back the time I spent reading this.

When your dead father owes a debt and you’re expected to pay it back, and the man who you have to repay offers you a job working in a sleezy club, what do you do? That’s right, you go get a job as a nanny for billionaires five year old son.

Eric and Nina meet when she interviews for the job of nanny, the attraction is instant, and although they both feel it, she accepts the job. Nina is great with James and despite how hard Eric and Nina try they cannot keep their hands off each other, and each time they say it’s a mistake which hurts Nina so much.

Eventually Eric tells her he and James are moving, and she is no longer needed, so she does the only thing she can and takes the job at the sleezy club!

Will Nina and Eric be able to move on without each other or can they find their way back to each other.

This is a lovely story about two people who fall in love with each other, but an insecure five year old has to come first, which keeps them apart!

Hot single dad romance. This was a very enjoyable book with well-developed characters and dialogue. A young child’s unhappiness and isolation formed the backbone of a realistic storyline of the difficulties facing a single father, trying to bring up a young child, James in a new city. With no female presence in his life since his mother abandoned him as a baby, a strange city, new home and no friends have a very negative effect on the young boy. Enter Nina, a 21 years old college student who saves the life of James during her job interview for the post of the live-in babysitter. Well, top that for a successful outcome! Eric, the father, and Nina soon develop an explosive physical attraction for each other, culminating in some steamy sex. James adores Nina and her feelings for the child are mutual. The way the author describes the little boy’s happiness and deep affection for Nina is very touching. Nina’s influence on the 5 years old is remarkable. However, both Eric and Nina have insecurities of their own, Eric is 14 years older than Nina and his connection to Nina’s family makes him believe that the truth about their tryst wouldn’t be well received. Add to that his ill-conceived impressions, assumptions about Nina’s intentions and feelings, make the main characters totally misunderstand one another and they part. The story contains tension points that have less importance in the storyline than the characters believe, like the sudden emergence of Eric’s ex-wife or Nina’s blackmailer. True love, however, won’t be held back and the story enjoys a lovely HEA, making this a nice feel-good novel I can gladly recommend.

This book is awesome! The story of Nina and Eric, brought together by Nina's half sister Raina and Raina's husband Miles. Eric and Miles were in the military together until Eric had to return home to raise his son, James. Eric's ex wife Cynthia, walked away from James and Eric and Eric has been doing everything he can to do the best for his son. They have just moved to Chicago from Seattle to get away from Cynthia and start over. He is also looking at investing in Miles's business. But James isn't handling the move well and Eric soon finds himself in need of a live in babysitter. Miles suggests Nina. Eric isn't sure and neither is Nina when Raina tells her about it but when Nina saves James from being hit by a car on the day she is to meet them, Eric gives her a chance. James takes to her right away and soon the two are the best of friends. Eric is drawn to her as well but tries to resist. It doesn't work and he gives in. Nina is also being harassed by a man her father owed money to. Soon, Eric realizes that he needs to distance himself from Nina and takes Miles's offer to move to DC. This sends Nina into the arms of the man threatening her. She is now working at his establishment and she just tries to get through each day. DC ends up being a disaster for Eric and James and he comes back to Chicago just in time to rescue Nina from a patron and confess his love for her. Soon she is back in his arms and back in James's life and the three go on to be a happy family.

Ex military billionaires are so hot!

It's funny that I read this book because we were discussing a this or that this week about leading men in romance novels. For example, military, cowboys, billionaire, firefighters, shifters, etc. I chose a combo of ex military billionaire because they are always super hot, strong, passionate, the right amount of cocky, and can pay a private military to rescue you. That's just what Eric is, with a 5 year old son who is needing extra TLC after their move from Seattle to Chicago. Eric is going into business with his good friend Miles who can see Eric is struggling with James. He offers to call his sister in law Nina. She's looking for work, she's a college student, and she may be what you need. Eric initially dismisses the idea, but agrees to an interview. Just before they meet, Eric takes James to the park where he has a major meltdown and bolts toward the street. Before he can bolt into the street, a woman snatches him up and calms him - it's Nina. It's as if the stars have aligned perfectly for both James and Eric because they are both almost immediately smitten. However, she's forbidden fruit, the past is lurking around every corner, and every move made seems to be one mistake after another. **Read This**

Love story with lots of drama.
Really loved this story & it's wonderful characters. Nina's life was going well until her family's past came back to threaten it forcing her to leave college & get a job to pay off her dead fathers debts. She gets offered the job as a live in nanny for a Eric a friend of her brother in law who's just moved to Chicago with his 5yr old son James. There is instant chemistry when they meet which makes living together awkward but gets much worse when they give in to the hot sexual chemistry but then Eric says it was wrong she is just an employee then ignores her which leaves Nina hurt & used. She really cares for him & loves James but between his phyco exwife & him not wanting anything more than a quckie with her she cannot take it anymore which leads her on a path of self destruction but I couldn't put this down until Eric would hopefully realise & admit how he really felt about Nina & that it wasn't just James who loves her & wanted to be home with her. This had me welling up a few times & definately recommend reading it.

Nina is in college when someone from her father's past comes into her life again demanding she pay her father's debt. Nina doesn't want to let her sister or twin brother know what's going on so she keeps quiet. However when he breaks into her dorm and trashes it she knows that she can't sty there and be safe or keep her room mate safe. She tells her sister that she's looking for a job and ends up becoming a nanny for a little boy name James. Sparks fly between Nina and Eric but they fight it because James needs her so much. However its not long before they give in to each other. But when his ex-wife shows up everything goes crazy and he plans to leave the state for another job. This leaves Nina stuck working for the man that's after her father's debt. Will Eric move on without Nina? Will anyone be able to save her from Jim?

This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

f you like your stories with a hot alpha and younger girl who happens to be the nanny then this is the book for you.

Eric is bringing up his son after his wife just one day left - decided being a mom wasn't for her. Nina needs a job she has student debts as well trying to pay of her dads debts to some shady people. When the nanny job lands in her lap she thanks her lucky stars but the boss is hot like really hot but he keeps blowing hot and cold.

Just as things seem to be settling down for Eric even though he wishes he wasn't having dirty thoughts about the nanny; Cynthia the ex wife turns up wanted to play happy families but she is up to something and Nina doesn't like the way she is around James - Eric's young son.

When Cynthia tries to take James Eric knows he needs to make a stand - but he needs to keep a clear head that means Nina needs to leave.

But sometimes what seems so wrong is what is right can Eric overcome the age difference and see what is right in front of him

Hot Boss, Hot Lover, Hot Daddy!

Nina has a large debt to pay after her dad's death. Fate gives her the ideal gift in repaying the debt. But, of course, there are strings attached as in "heart strings". She has an instant attraction to her employer & is fond of his son. Their feelings toward her are mutual even though Eric keeps pushing her away because of their age difference being a major factor in his decision. With time & distance away from each other, Eric realizes his son, James's heart is broken also & they are miserable without her. Rectifying the situation, he finds her & Nina returns to their awaiting arms, having their HEA.

I enjoyed this story as it shows a single parent going through daily struggles, feelings of helplessness & trying to find solutions. The characters are amazing & having an ex in the picture, stirring up trouble as well as an overdue debt completes this interesting story.

Nina is a college student when she is approached by a man who tells her that her deceased father owed him money and he expected Nina to repay a large amount. Nina and her twin brother had been raised by their sister who removed them to another area of Chicago after their father died. She was determined that they have a better life. Her brother-in-law found her a job as a babysitter for a friend of his. Nina and Eric immediately sensed the chemistry between them even though there was an age difference. Eric decided that he needed to keep away from Nina and moved to DC with his son. At that point, Nina decided to go to work for the man who was demanding money. Will Eric realize that he loves Nina? Will they find their was back to each other? I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to everyone over 18.

Nina & Eric meet when she scoops us Eric’s 5-year-old son to keep him from being hit by a car. Eric is instantly drawn to Nina; little did he know that when his business partner suggests his sister-in-law to be his new nanny that it would be Nina. Nina is needing money fast in order to pay off a debt left her deceased father. Nina takes the job as James’s nanny and James is really connecting with her. The more Nina is there the more feelings she develops for Eric. Eric starts to have feelings for Nina as well, but he is so hot and cold to her she doesn’t know what to think or how to react. Eric has a lot of issues that is holding him back, with all the different things thrown at them will they find their HEA?
The story was good with just enough twist and turns along with the suspense to keep you wanting to know what’s next. Very good book.

ok so…

First of all this kid was written as 6 or 5 years old and he is written off like he is more older due to his actions and words then what his actually age is stated as. However, this relationship was just weird or out of the box since this kind of stuff in my opinion won’t happen. Two Nina has just a strong headed personality that this relationship with Eric doesn’t make sense since he is the that makes her just forgot about real life like seriously I wish it was that easy and person can do that do you but honestly I don’t think that will ever happen. So this book definitely isn’t a book that I would be able to relate to or recommend since this book was definitely not what I would have expected this to be. P.s. I don’t like how Nina was standoffish to majority of the characters in this book. That one of the main reasons why I was confuse and not relating to and the other reason is the kid why is James written older then he he is.

A lot happened throughout this book. Both the main characters were flawed and they had a lot of ups and downs in their relationship. Eric drove me nuts through part of the book and I wanted to hit him upside his head. His parenting choices and his hot and cold treatment of Nina made him a less than stellar character. I really liked Nina at first and hated her downward spiral doing things that were totally opposite of what she would have done a short time before. Eric and Nina were both hot messes. James was my favorite character and his acting out was perfectly normal with all the things that were happening in his life. It is amazing he was able to switch things around so easily whenever Nina was around him. She was his safe haven. There was a HEA but I would still like to see where they are in 5-10 years.

Nina has a past she keeps even from her best friend. Her sister Raina had her go to college. She is doing good there. Then her past comes and finds her.

Raina’s husband wants Eric to be his partner in business. Eric needs a nanny. Nina was suggested. Nina is 21 and a college student Eric is told.

Nina wants to move out of the dorm to protect her best friend so she knows she needs a job and place to live. She agrees to meet Eric and his son, James. Nina finds herself instantly attracted to him. Eric hires her and moves her into the house. James instantly takes to Nina.

Nina is confused as to what Eric wants. One minute he is into her the next he pushes her away. Will either one of them get past their past or will the past win? Will Eric ever decide what he wants? Will Nina accept whatever is to come? You will need to read to find out.

Not a hero of any kind
We’re supposed to like Eric? Not sure why as he seems to be a self-centered jerk. After his ex-wife walked away from him and their son James, he leaves the military and moves to Chicago to get away from her. He also wants to invest in his friend Miles’s business. After a near accident and Nina’s quick action, Eric decides to hire her as a nanny. He then decides to move to DC, but that ends up as a disaster sending him back to Chicago. In the meantime she has ended up in the precarious position of working for the man that has been threatening her. Will things work out for all of them, or will Eric end up failing all of them? The characters, story, and writing all combine for a unique “love” story.

Conflicting and heartbreaking
Hot Boss (Hot Daddies Billionaire’s Book 1) by Suzanne Hart is a well written romance full of conflicts, denial, sweet moments and steamy chemistry.
Nina and Eric embark on a mission to bring some comfort and security to Eric’s son, James. Of course, these two are their own worst enemies, succumbing to negative self talk and denial of their true feelings, refusing to accept that they are what is best for each other as well as James. Pain, heartbreak and separation finally breaks Eric’s resolve.
Overall, a well written book with wonderful characters and an interesting story leading up to an exciting HEA.

I don't know where to start with this one. Their first meeting is so out of the norm. James is in a full blown temper tantrum. Running away and Eric gives chase. Knowing that he cant catch him in time is surprised when a dark haired angel stops his headlong run into traffic. Their first meeting is filled with so much sexual chemistry that I needed a cold drink. The emotions displayed in this story will have you turning page after page. You get the drama from the Ex and his mother. And the wisdom from a little 5 years old who knows what he wants in life. Throw in a meddling brother and best friend and you have a well rounded book

There are lots of “forbidden” romances out there: older (experienced) man with younger woman, boss with employee and dad with nanny (hopefully single dad) are easily the most popular I’ve seen. Suzanne Hart’s Hot Boss does a great job with all of these (the sad is single I’m happy to report, though his ex is, umm, “dramatic”). Add in that be, of course yummy dad is a billionaire (I’m in love with my sweetie but have always been just a bit miffed he wasn’t a secret billionaire). The result is a pretty darn perfect single dad romance. I really loved this book and definitely am looking forward to more of the stand-alone Hot Billionaire Daddies romances (this one was Book 1). Highly recommended.

This is the first book in Suzanne Hart’s new Hot Billionaire Daddies series. The novel focuses on Nina, a senior college student who needs money to pay off a debt of her deceased father and takes a nanny job, and Eric, a single father who recently relocated to Chicago to get away from his horrible ex-wife. Nina and Eric are mutually drawn to each other but but do not act on the attraction until Eric eventually gives in to his feelings. James, Eric’s five year old son, tolerates the move better when Nina is caring for him until his mother and Eric’s ex-wife unexpectedly returns. I recommend this great book with its realistic characters, unexpected plot twists, and steamy romance.

Interesting, clever and full of surprises.

Nina is a college student who keeps to herself and just wants to graduate. She is threatened by a loan shark for the money her deceased father owed him. She needs a good paying job and a new place to live.
Eric is a single Dad needing a live in Nanny for his five-year old son, James. Nina and the little boy bond instantly. Eric the dad is attracted to her instantly. The complications start almost immediately challenging their HEA. There are heartwarming and heartbreaking moments, there are frustrating and titillating moments, but each twist in their journey is a lesson learned and an opportunity for growth. Their story is unexpected and filled with unique situations that get them their HEA.

Eric is a 35 year old single father of 5 year old James. Nina is a 21 year old Collage student.
Eric has recently moved, and his son is not happy, he needs a nanny his son connects with, while he works. His friend recommends his sister in law, Nina.

When they meet, sparks fly between Eric and Nina, and James immediately likes her.

Suzanne Hart has done a fabulous job of making you feel the emotions of all 3 main characters, you will laugh, and may cry during the road, with twists and unexpected turns as they all find their HEA

I received an arc for an honest review. I loved Nina and Eric. Eric was a divorced dad, trying to raise his 5 year old son James. James doesn't like his new home in Chicago, and is being difficult. Eric hires Nina as a nanny for James. There is an instant connection between Nina and James. Eric is also fixated on Nina, but he doesn't want to come between Nina, and James really cares for her and she is so good for him. However, the more time they are together it is impossible for both of them to ignore their feelings. Add in Eric's divorced wife and James mother - and you get twists and turns. The ending is so good. I highly recommend this book.

Nothing more sexy than an alpha male that’s not afraid to openly love his son!! Ex-marine Eric denies his love for his son college student nanny Nina in a series of conflicts, denial and lust. Can Nina’s immediate bond with Eric’s son slowly chip away at the grumpy single dad? Maybe if life didn’t throw complications along the way. An emotional story, full of drama as they try to find their paths in life. Love a story that’s not all roses and price charmings but real life personalities and interactions.

Nina will do anything for her family especially since her older sister has taken over since their dad died. But one day a man came demanding they pay their dad debt, so Nina decided to get a job. Miles will tell Eric about Nina to be his son nanny. By chance Nina saves James from being hit and the Eric later hires her. Of course Nina and Eric has an attraction to each other but he’s hot and cold with her and she has her demons to deal with. Can she repay her dad debts and can Eric let his feeling out? Can they work it out? Will Miles accept Eric since Nina is like his baby sister?

You have Nina, a single college educated woman, feisty who is going to work for Eric. Eric is a single parent, who needs help with his son. Eric hires Nina.Nina has an attraction to Eric even though he is older. There is a spark that continues to grow between them. This was a roller-coaster ride - ups & downs, insecurities played out, twists and turns in the relationship, round and round it goes. You will have questions, will there be answers. The characters are complex. It will keep you turning the page!

This was a great love story. The story of Eric and James covered a lot of real life feelings a parent has for their child. The age difference made it a lot harder of a decision about being in love. There were some great characters to keep the pages turning and the story entertaining. The fact that Nina really had no experience with men made it harder to understand her feelings and to understand Eric's reactions. Luckily Eric realized how he felt about Nina and made the right decisions so they could have a happy ending.
