Short But Good!
So this was a really short story but I really enjoyed it! I’m pretty sure it was the writing style. It left me wanting to know more about the characters and where their love story would go. There were sections where I literally found myself laughing out loud. I can’t wait to see what else this author has to offer.

This was my first alexandria House novel and I loved it!!
I am usually not drawn to novella’s because I just like longer books that have more developments but I decided to give this one a try because I was bored and it’s january second and I wanted some quick fun!
I really enjoyed the story line of two single parents who are coworkers and are friends! I thought that crew and langston were hilarious ESPECIALLY crew!! I want a longer and more indebted story for these two so badly!
Super fun! I recommend for a short and sweet novella! I really am trying to get into seasonal romances so this was perfect for the new year!

Man, if this book wasn't good?!!! Langston and Crew deserved better than this short. They were the ultimate work husband and wife couples goal. There were so many laugh out loud moments and the chemistry was, as usual, on point!

Just the type of short to get the new year started. Crew and Langston were good for each other. I truly enjoy reading this author's holiday stories filled with unforgettable characters and their euphoric passionate relations.

This is a very short read but we got all we needed in the 25 pages. One thing for sure Lucky is an *ss! Langston & Crew being the only two black employees end up clinging to each other at the New Year’s party in more ways than one😜

Man! This was a great short sorry. Love Langston and crew together. They just flowed you know. I never expect anything less from Ms House. Bomb ass storyline, relatable characters, funny scenes and hot sex. I thoroughly enjoyed this story of new beginnings.

This was a sweet, sexy super-quickie for ringing in the new year
Langston and Cree make for an interesting match that were not a couple at this year's New Year's eve party at the bosses house. There was one thing that Lamgston was not expecting, maybe two. Her ex with her co-worker and the company's new addition and work best friend find that the chemistry was burning hot between them both.

I think this might be my favorite of the Holiday Short stories...if I had to pick just one....this story was about co-workers (HR Director & On-Site Attorney) spending time together at work basically because they're the minorities in the company and feel a bit uncomfortable....now both Langston & Cruz are hanging out together at their office New Years Eve Party hosted at the home of the CEO and Langston find out that her ex-boyfriend left her four (4) months earlier for a white colleague and she actually finds out that he's dating her colleague at the party... NOW, Langston & Cruz are pretending to date for the evening in front of her ex.....Cruz is a divorced father of a teenage son and hesitant to re-enter the world of dating....although he really does have a crush on Langston....the pretending turns into something for real.....

New Year, New Boo? is a super short holiday-New Year’s Eve romance that is currently on KU. Langston is a 35-year-old HR manager & newly single mom who has always dreaded her work’s NYE party. This year she decides to brave it and show up because her new co-worker (and friend) will be going too. They had first bonded at work being the only black people in an office of white co-workers, but soon realized they had more in common and this is such a believable friends-to-lovers novella. The hero Crew is a 43-year-old attorney & divorced dad of a teenage son. He definitely has some pining going on for Langston and when her ex shows up at the party he tries his best to make her feel more comfortable. Crew immediately lets Langston know all his feelings towards her and whew does this one get hot and steamy. 🔥

Alexandria House never disappoints with her hot scenes. She has this way of making you fall in love with the characters instantly. This was a perfect read to start of a new year. After a bad relationship Langston was able to bring in the new year with her new boo Crew, I loved it!

This was cute, this was real cute. Basically the only two Black people at a work holiday party get together, present a big middle to finger to one's ex, and get it on. (Also there's microaggressions because you know, only 2 Black people at work)
