A dominant, dirty talking fireman + his fiery new recruit =
Enough kink to start a three alarm fire.

Lia:
Here’s what I know: Firemen are nicer than cops.
More predictable. They have that same hero desire but it burns brighter.
They’re not quite as power-hungry or controlling. Except for the captain.
They call him Blaze and he’s got a streak of controlling cop for sure.
It’s a trait that unfortunately makes my knees go weak in a boss.
Especially a beefy fire captain boss.

Blaze:
Having smoking hot Lia Burke in my firehouse might be the death of me.
I can’t stand the other guys ogling her. They are not exactly PC.
It’s locker room talk around here twenty-four seven.
I swear I’m going to have a sexual harassment claim on my hands in less than a month.
And I'll probably be the guy who crosses the line first.

Deliciously kinky and well written, I loved it!!

Lia was a strong and sensual young woman; Blaze was a hot hunk of a man, dominating yet caring, and just oh so dirty. Their chemistry burned through the pages and I loved how the author made the story a bit deeper than just some regular smut - and that under 170 pages!

It was one of my favourites in the series so far - and I'll definitely read more by the author.

PS. If you like some Daddy kink and spanking in a totally sane and respectful relationship, then you are in for a treat, my dirty friends.

Listen if you want kinky sexy times with lots is spanking from a Daddy this is the short story for you. If you skip those parts DON’T READ THIS STORY!! Like 80% of it was kinky sex. These two were cute together. In facts Blaze and Lia were so cute I wished it was a full length book. But we can’t have it all.

This was a kinky 5 star read for me until the last part of the book. I was too bothered, almost screaming at the MC’s. My biggest issues were

However, I think these issues could have been resolved with more time/pages. These two were made for each other, clearly. Seriously, made for each other.

I really loved this one. Feisty female firefighter who gets off on submitting. Her Captain never saw what was coming when he took her on. Plenty of well written d/s kink and action packed storyline made this a really easy read.

This latest book from Renee Rose is a scorching romance featuring Lia and her firefighting boss, Blaze. The last thing rookie Lia needs to do is get involved with her new boss but when he realizes exactly why she became a firefighter, Blaze takes it upon himself to help her, with a punishment spanking. Blaze makes the perfect Alpha hero even if he does have some slight insecurities that need to be dealt with, luckily Lia is the right person for the job since she too has some issues to work out. An enjoyable and steamy read, keep them coming Renee Rose!

I'm really grooving on this series. All the books I've read from it so far are hot and hotter. This one is totally on fire. A firefighter Daddy? I mean, how much hotter do you really need?

Lia loves fire. She's worked hard for years to be a firefighter, including spending 3 years as a hot shot firefighter. Now she's working for FDNY. The station house she has been put in has no other females but her, and people in the department are taking bets as to how much longer she will last. She's tiny little thing, but she not only pulls her own weight, she totally exceeds it. But she has a small problem with lighting matches. She loves fire. When she gets stressed, she lights them. Her battalion chief, Blaze, wants her to stop.

Blaze knows that Lia is hiding something. He also knows about her habit of lighting matches when she's stressed. It's not a good habit to have, even if she is a firefighter. So he's decided that he has a way to make sure that she stops.

There are a lot of things I like about this book. The hot kinkiness that Renee Rose brings to any story is great, but that's not all of it. The love that Lia's family has for her is just amazing, even if they don't necessarily want her to do what she's doing. They love her. There's also Lia's journey to figuring out what she wants and who she is, which isn't an easy journey for anyone to ever have to deal with. Renee Rose handles it so well, and weaves it into a hot and sexy book.

What do you get when you combine one fire captain with a hero complex and a feisty new recruit with guilt issues? A scorcher of a story, that's what!

Lia is her fire station's newest recruit and she wants to fit in with the men at her station. So a round of strip poker where she intends on having the men left in just their boxers seems like a good idea. At least it was until Blaze, Lia's seriously hot captain, interrupts and lays into the entire station. So you could say the sparks were flying from their first meeting...

When Blaze lets on he knows why Lia's really pushing so hard to be a firefighter, knows all about the guilt that she's been holding in for years, and that he wants to help her out with that guilt with three well-timed punishments, literal punishments that involve his hand and her ass, how will Lia react? Will she be all in or is she not the submissive Gabe thinks she is? That those three punishments ended up being more than a bit of Daddy Dom play is not surprising because it was obvious from the very start that these two were perfect for each other.

Although I'm not entirely sure Renee Rose convinced me that using punishment, even in a caring way, can curb Lia's particular issue, I do like the premise. And I liked both Lia and Blaze. They're both damaged people so are that much more realistic. Sometimes it's nice to read a romance with more realistic characters rather than perfect billionaires and model-like heroines. Blaze's hero complex and Lia's guilt made for two scarred (although Lia wouldn't admit it) souls that really called out to each other in an smokin' hot way. Seriously, this has to be one of the hottest books I've read in quite awhile. So hot that I think my Kindle may have melted while I was reading. If this is the quality of this series, I am so in for more!

❤~🌟~❤5 Blazing Hot Stars❤~🌟~❤

“You like to play with fire. I think you should experience a little burn….”

Have a hankering to snuggle up with a sinfully hot fireman? Then BLAZE by Renee Rose is gonna SET YOU ALL AFLAME!!!

Renee Rose is one of my go-to authors for naughtylicious romances brimming with steam, smolder, swoony feels and kinky interludes that make me squirm in delight. And holy smokes!!!! This scintillating stand-alone, part of the multi-author Hard n' Dirty series, was so smoldering I need a fire extinguisher to cool me off!

THE STORY:

This is the tale of a hunky, no-nonsense FDNY fire chief, Ted “Blaze” MacKenzie who has his hands full (literally!) with Lia Burke, the saucy new recruit who is determined to fit in with the boys and prove she has what it takes to succeed. But…yikes…“Sparks” likes to play with matches and has a shameful secret from her past that, if exposed, could cause her budding career to go up in flames! What’s this hardassed, fiercely overprotective captain to do to keep this troubled, sweetly defiant spitfire in line? Give her his special brand of “tough love,” of course, and she better watch out if she breaks his iron clad rules! Of course some rules are MADE to be broken and when he crosses the line from stern fire chief to tough yet tender Dom, to help banish her demons, they both might find themselves in VERY HOT WATER!

MY MUSINGS:
Gah…I need a deliciously dominant, dirty talking fire chief of my own to save me!! Renee Rose created the perfect hero in MacKenzie! He’s hot, hard bodied, gruffly commanding yet exquisite gentle, and so overwhelmingly, devastatingly male he made me MELT INTO A PUDDLE!!

“Blaze is like the Greek god of firemen. Tall, tattooed and beef-alicious...the man is two hundred fifty pounds of pure authority and alpha male dominance.”

And did I mention “Cap” is a sweet, stern and itchy-palmed Daddy Dom too? Yup he had me begging to submit!!

And the plight of Lia, his spunky new recruit, who was equal part sass and sweetness, touched my heart! Growing up the youngest in a family of macho cops, she is used to dealing with strong, overbearing men and can definitely hold her own. But instead of following in her older bros footsteps and pursuing a career in law enforcement, she dreamt of becoming a firefighter with the FDNY as a way to atone for the sins of her past. I love a lost, broken heroine who needs a little TLC to get her into the path of healing, and the manner in which Blaze took his bewitching “little dragon” under his wing, demanding she obey his every command in the firehouse--and in the bedroom--was utterly captivating!

Blaze and Lia have an ELECTRIFYING chemistry and their raging hot encounters were panty incinerating! But they share a heartbreaking link to a catastrophic event in the heroine’s past that adds rich poignancy to their tale. And as with all of Ms. Rose’s erotic romances, their connection was so much more than physical. It was visceral. Raw and unbridled. And so ACHINGLY TENDER it made my heart clench!

Romance and dominance aside, the author also did an exemplary job depicting life in the firehouse, and when these MCs weren’t starting fires in the bedroom the action sequences of them jumping into the fray to douse dangerous blazes had my ADRENALINE-PUMPING!

BOTTOM LINE:

Blaze was absolutely sensational! There is the perfect blend of breath-stealing romance, heart-tugging feels, steamy sexcapades and edge of your seat drama to keep our hearts racing, and of course a glorious HEA to leave us deliciously satiated!

Highly Recommend!!

Blaze is the fourth stand alone book in the Hard n’ Dirty series. Lia is proud to be a firefighter, not for the hero status, but because she’s able to atone for her past mistakes. Something about fire just draws her in. Blaze is her fire captain, a dominant, controlling, but caring man who draws her in even more. Knowing her past, Blaze is convinced that he can help Lia overcome her demons and guilt, and while their chemistry burns stronger than anything she’s ever felt, she’s unsure about where she stands with Blaze. Will their relationship burn strong, or will it all go up in flames?

I was absolutely enthralled by this book from the very first page! I wanted to know everything about Lia, I wanted to wrap myself up in Blaze’s arms, I was cheering so hard for their relationship, and cringing when their tempers took over. I also just about melted from the steam of their Daddy Dom style relationship! Lia was amazing, strong and determined, driven, full of guilt, but also wanting to do so much good! Blaze was everything and more, definitely a hero, wanting to help everyone, a trait which carried over into his relationships! Their kink was delicious, their connection strong, and I loved everything that was going on in the background to effect their relationship, too! I have been loving this series and this book is a fantastic read!

Hot cover, right?

Yeah, I thought so too.... so I was excited to get into this one, as this is the second in this series that I've come upon. I'm in a daddy kink mood lately, it would seem. This one didn't disappoint. Now, in saying that, I'll say that I'm not usually into BDSM at all, I like the kink, but only mildly. I don't like pain or humiliation, so this one was perfect... well, okay... there was pain, but not hard pain.

So, Lia is the only girl in a family full of boys... boys who are also New York cops, instead of the firefighter she wanted to be. I felt for her at first, I feel like she had a lot to overcome, especially since nobody really believed in her. She was overlooked a lot, and I wanted her to be proud of who she was and what she done.... there was a reason though, a reason she went the route she did...and I hurt for her with that too.

At the fire station she worked at, it was also only boys, and they let her know that she wasn't altogether welcome in their boys club. Even the Captain, Blaze. He's a hothead with zero patience and a chip on his shoulder at the rookie being a woman. The house is kinda crap to her at first, but she tries not to let it get her down.
And on top of all that, Lia and Blaze have an insane attraction to one another and a love of the same kink. He gave her what she needed and she let him.... they were good together in that aspect, but his hot and cold routine got old with me real quick.... and this surprise ex and child came out of nowhere for me. Like....what was that? And I really felt for the little girl mixed into all that mess.
Didn't care for that....

Other than that, there were a few speed bumps along the way, but I was glad it worked out, because they were good together. He was a perfect overbearing, overprotective, and posessive, but I tend to go for that. It was a bit instalovey too, but I also love that.
Overall, great read.... I might pick another from this series!

This is the 4th book of the Hard N' Dirty (all standalone) series. Blaze is a hot and dirty firefighter based story. In this one, we get Lia and Blaze the captain of their station.

Lia has a love/hate relationship with fire. She is known to have started a fire in her family home when she was a child. Now she is a firefighter and is more than willing to make up for what she has done. But sometimes what is done in the past can not be undone.

Blaze was there that night when that house was up in flames. He knows that Lia has a past with fire and that she might not have what it takes. But he also wants to bend her over his desk.

These two characters have a lot to work out between them. Neither wants to give in and both are very headstrong. But one place they can get along is in the bedroom. Blaze is a giver and is into kink. Lia is new to it and loves that Blaze wants to take care of her outside the station house. Can these two find a middle ground?

Firefighters with just the right amount of kink.

The chemistry between Blaze and Lia is on fire. She became a firefighter for atonement, he offered to punish her for her sins. I love that both characters are strong and ready to build a relationship. The kink only happens in the bedroom and then they are free to be the strong fierce people they are out in the world. If real spanking bothers you, not the light feather love taps, but a real punishment then I would not recommend this book for you. The heroine finds this both therapeutic for her guilt, but also erotic. The story-line is short and sweet, but it's not missing anything either.

This was a very hot story to read. The chemistry between Blaze and Lia is out of control. She's a firefighter and he is her Captain. Together they combust and the sexual heat is enough to make you need a fan close by, along with some ice water. I couldn't put the book down once I started it and I bet you won't be able to either. Renee Rose has written another awesome book.

What do you get when you have a fire captain who is into kink and a pyro turned firefighter? You get one very hot , very kinky book that makes you want more.

Blaze is the fire captain and he now has a female firefighter in Lia , she has a past with fire and he is the one to help her overcome it .
Their romance is forbidden because of work. And the kink is totally hot ,.
The storyline is awesome too , it is a must read.

DNF @ 35%

Did I read a different book than everyone else??? I was excited based on the synopsis but wow, talk about a disappointment. This book had so much potential and it was just wasted.

After we read just ONE interaction between Lia and Blaze, he goes into her room at the firehouse to find her half-naked wearing a pair of panties where they proceed to do sexual things. Does this author really expect me to believe they jumped straight to spanking, oral, and “yes, Daddy”? WE JUST MET THEM!! MCs should not be jumping from a boss-employee relationship to a spanking, kinky one after just two chapters. Literally 14% into the book with zero character development, no emotional attachment to the characters, no push and pull, no angst, no anything.

After this magical sexcapade, he takes her out to a “non-date” dinner where he tells her he knows about the house fire she caused as a teenager that burned her house down. Additionally, he begins to psychoanalyze her reasons for joining the fire department. Um, can you say way too early? Way to obliterate any build-up or suspense with the storyline. This is something that should have been brought up much later in the book and been a dramatic revelation. Such a disappointment.

Wrong in so many ways

This is a hard review for me to write because I usually like books by this author, but this story is just wrong in so many ways. First and foremost, the hero is the heroine's direct supervisor. Second of all, he started things with her at work. Thirdly, he wanted inside her head and to know intimate details of her life, but he completely shut her out of his life repeatedly. Fourthly, the heroine would be upset at how he treated her, but she never said a word and as soon as he showed back up after each dismissal she just caved with no questions asked. Fifthly, he would think to himself that maybe this was a repeat of his old pattern of moving too quickly and trying to be a rescuer, but he continued in the same pattern. And lastly, I find it disingenuous to think that something as serious as pyromania could be "cured" by spanking.

Scored this one 50% off direct on the author website during Cyber Monday!

Lia has finally landed her dream job as a firefighter and is hitting the ground running. She knows being the only woman on the team is gonna be hard but she's ready and willing to prove herself and show them she might be tiny but she can pull her own weight, thank you very much!

But her Captain is the hardest nut to crack. There's a reason they nicknamed him Blaze. His big, broody and when his temper sparks, take cover! But his dominate demeaner only fuels Lia's totally inappropriate attraction to her new boss.

And the inferno blows out of control when these two come together. The chemistry is instant, OTT hot and blends their shared kink together perfectly.

This was a such a good read! I was hooked from the beginning. I loved Lia, she was a sweet daddy's girl in the bedroom for Blaze but outside she was a tough lady, never backing down from doing her fair share and standing up for herself. Blaze was also pretty great. He loved playing the protector and it was fun watching him fall hard and fast for his little girl. Even when he oversteps, it just lead to a feel good grand gesture to win his lady back.

This was a short quick novella but it was well written, the characters are fleshed out and the side plot added suspense and emotional strings to tie it all together. If this is the quality we can expect for the next two in the series, I'm diving in! Would definitely recommend!

SPOILER-Y EXTRAS:

~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

I fucking love taking care of Lia. I don't know why caretaking is my thing, but it probably goes with the hero complex and never feeling like I can do enough. Regardless, Lia calling me daddy does something powerful to me. Makes me want to spoil her like a princess. And spank her silly.

~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

All I know is I want to claim Lia in every way possible. I need more, even, than what we have. I want to be her man. Her daddy. Her everything.

Even though Blaze is different from Renee Rose's other books, don't let that discourage you from picking it up because it is a very hot read!

Blaze is a fire station captain who falls hard and fast for Lia, our heroine. Their romance is at once intense, scorching and swoon-worthy as the chemistry between these two characters leaps from the pages. It's not until the fire cools, though, that the characters begin to wonder if their attraction to one another is more than skin-deep.

I really appreciated this book. Both protagonists had some serious character flaws they had to address, which made them even more human (literally) than one typically expects from Rose's writing style. Lia had this tough-girl exterior that she used to cover the vulnerabilities and shame she carried inside of her. Blaze, on the other hand, had a hero-complex that had the potential to ruin the relationships in his life, and it was so awesome to see him become aware of his behaviors and take active steps to correct them.

I really liked how Rose created characters who were far from perfect but also who were the kind of people who learned from their mistakes and sought forgiveness when they made missteps. This book had an excellent balance of action, suspense and description, giving the reader a variety of supporting characters that made the story that much better.

There were parts in the story that felt rushed, and I also felt that some of the physical scenes could've been replaced with scenes involving Blaze meeting Lia's family or Blaze introducing Lia to some of his friends outside of work, so those were little things that kept me from giving this story 5 stars. Overall, I really enjoyed reading Blaze and hope that the compellingly-written supporting characters get their own novellas down the line.

MAGNIFICENT, sexy, and full of sensuous tension between characters readers will LOVE! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
“BLAZE,” author Renee Rose’s newest novel and submission to the multi-author HARD N’ DIRTY series is hot, Hot, HOT!! Rose’s descriptive prose is amazing and titillating in both its easy readability and its phenomenal word-smithy. In short, readers may feel like that proverbial “fly on the wall” as Lia and Blaze first joust with their considerable attraction and finally combust when the pheromone levels become more than either can withstand. In the second chapter . . . Nah, things do heat up quickly but know that there is a true romance when Blaze and Lea both seek the promised HEA. The book blurb gives a good indication of what you will find inside, but the blurb doesn’t tell readers the important information: This book is well-written, has a complex and compelling and the character development is stellar. Rose is one of my favorite romance authors, so I jumped at the opportunity to volunteer to read “BLAZE” and this is my honest FIVE-STAR 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟review of an erotically HOT and extremely well-written contemporary romance. (There are elements of BDSM including power-exchange, spankings along with some more creative scenes; so, if that offends or if one is under 18, then read no further.) “BLAZE” is a sensuous and sexy tale of unexpected love between two caring and consenting adults. This reader found it to be entertaining, erotic and an escape into a world where love wins every single time! I STRONGLY recommend “BLAZE” for your next romance purchase! Happy pages! 😉

The story is filled with suspense, mystery, romance, aspects of BDSM and lots of HOT, sexy scenes from page one! Lia has worked hard to become a firefighter, even though this profession is dominated by males and finally, she has gotten a position at a firehouse. Blaze is the captain, he is an Alpha male, big and strong, overprotective, wants to save everyone and has daddy tendencies that have never been fully satisfied. When, they meet the sparks fly!!! (Pun intended - lol) They try to ignore them since they fear for their jobs. Lia has worked too hard to be tossed out, now that her dream has come true and Blaze, well -he is a Captain that his entire crew loves. Renee Rose is a wonderful story teller, as she slowly and carefully lets us learn more about her characters. Yes, Lia has an issue with fire that she has never faced and haunts her, still. Blaze recognizes her problem and has a solution - Will she accept it? Will they be able to continue to ignore the electricity between them? How will it affect their jobs? Oh, so many questions! The suspense, mystery, romance just gets hotter and more intriguing and it’s not possible to put the book down. Through the talent, as an author, of Renee Rose we are shown how the characters learn more about themselves, each other and realize that together they are stronger and can have a bright future. We are led to discover their feelings and hearts of the characters and feel that you know them and care and worry for them. Thank you, Renee Rose for another amazing story!

RENEE!!! You've done it again. No matter what I say about this story, in the end it's fantastic. You know what you're getting when you start a Renee Rose romance story but even so it's always a treat to see just how good it is. Blaze is wickedly delicious and I ate up every last word.
Stubborn, smart and soft at heart; Ted "Blaze" MacKenzie is a fire captain who likes things just so and the newest addition to his fire house is not it. Lia "Sparks" Murphy is all heat and determination. They are both full of secrets but their desire for one another overtakes everything.
Work rules, logic and possible ruin mean nothing when they get their hands on one another. All sanity seems to fly right out the window when the heat between them flares. Blaze wants to care for Lia but isn't about to think it through. He's a man of action and she's his little dragon. Lia is hot; hot tempered, hot blooded and hot mouthed. All of it just pulls Blaze in further until he's stuck in her web.
Guilt plays a big part in the story of these two and shapes the H/h. It also shapes how they love eachother. I laughed out loud, squirmed in my seat and fanned my heated face reading this amazing story. The surrounding cast of firefighters and extra large Murphy family players rounded out the story in the very best way. I hope we'll get to see more of them in the future.
A copy of this story was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review. I honestly loved it and am sooo grateful.

How did a hot-tempered young captain end up with a sassy pyromaniac on his squad? And how did she end up in his bed? This book fairly sizzles with heat of all kinds. Blaze and Lia are at odds on the job, until Blaze frustratingly blurts out his high-handed solution and to his utter surprise, Lia is completely on board!

The romance between these two took on a life of its own. The author didn't waste any time with a slow build, opting instead to show how impossible it was for either of them to walk away from the absolute perfect compatibility they shared - in the bedroom, at least.

The conflict is based on their jobs - he can't keep seeing her while being her immediate superior, and she needs to find the right career fit that allows her to fulfill the very personal reasons why she became a firefighter in the first place. The way they work this out takes a bit of ingenuity by the author, but it's perfectly done and brings about a very satisfying HEA.

This is not a story for those who want something left to the imagination. The author spares no detail, creating a visceral reading experience that leaves no doubt about the way these two characters connect on both an emotional and a physical level. It's exquisitely intimate and intense, and is quite probably the best book I've read by this author yet. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Lia comes from a long line of cops in her family, but because of her past, she decides that she wants to fight fires, and finally, she's hired on at a firehouse. The last thing she needs is to be attracted to her boss, after all the hoops she had to jump through to get her job. Blaze wants Lia badly, but knows he can't go there as her boss, except he knows why she became a firefighter, and decides he needs to help her get over her past with some punishments. And that starts a complicated, but super sexy journey for them. Yeah, this story was so very sexy, as these two lit the sheets on fire more than once. But the push & pull drove me crazy, especially on his part, as I was #TEAMLIA all the way, and it seemed at times that he would run off too much after such emotionally charged situations, so I wanted to really throat punch him. Lia was such a strong heroine, but there were times that I wanted her to make him work for it harder to be honest. However, I did love them together at the end of the day so I guess I'm a bit complicated myself. This was a story that kept me turning the pages, as I really enjoyed Renee Rose's talented writing style, just wished it was a bit longer, because the ending was a bit rushed in my opinion. I will be reading more by this author, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Lia Burke is the only woman working at her fire station but with four brothers who are all cops she doesn't scare easily. Yet beneath Lia's surface is a lot of guilt and a struggle within herself.

Ted "Blaze" MacKenzie is Lia's boss and he remembers Lia from the past and knows the demons that she is still fighting and he vows to help her overcome her past.

Can Blaze find a way to help Lia deal with her demons in a safe manner or will her own agenda out her whole crew at risk?

This was such a great book and I loved that it was original and something I hadn't read about before!

I really liked Lia but she had some huge guilt and demons in her past that she was trying to overcome. I was shocked that she was continuing with the behavior after everything she had lost because of it.

Blaze was awesome and pure alpha!! I loved that he was really trying to help Lia and it was intense and hot with how he was trying to do it!

I completely understood why he flipped on Lia with the crew incident. I was shocked at how Lia flipped on Blaze when he was trying to do something to help her career that he thought she would enjoy.

The end was so awesome with the "switch" and I loved how everyone rallied around to make everything right again!
