Thought it was pretty cute until the major cliffhanger. Seriously, what's up with Kayla? What happens to her? I thought this was going to be a stand alone, so kind of disappointed.
I did like that it was a bit being bullied this time rather than always being the girl. Different perspective sure is nice.
It was a bit on the short side too.

For my clean readers: high school bullying, sexual attack by a teen boy thinking his date owed him because he spent money on her, romance, and a bit of violence.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this series about Kayla and Fredrick aka Frog. She's a popular girl in school, junior class president, volleyball player, debate team member and overall nice person. Frog is a dorky skinny geek who always is getting bullied. When Kayla and Frog are paired tiger together for project, they start to develop a friendship. But when he reveals they were friends before, Kayla racks her brain for memories. The series is about Fredrick learning who he really is and why he's been hidden fit so long and his Kayla makes him happy. Their lives are woven together from childhood and into their future.

Frederick Vonnegan is bullied and called Frog by his high school classmates because he has abnormally large eyes, is tall and lanky, and has a lot of acne. Frog isn't happy when he gets partnered with Kayla Morrison, the girl he’s had a crush on for 12 years. It's better to dream about the beautiful Kayla because she's way out of his league. But how does Kayla feel about Frog? Note: This story ends on a cliffhanger.

Fun, sweet, drama-filled, and intriguing! Prince of Gulbrania is an interesting retelling of the Frog Prince.

Good book!

I know those is more for younger people, but I enjoyed reading it too.
Frog is pretty cool, and Kayla turned out pretty good also.
It's a romance mystery. Pretty cute!
It's a cliff hanger, but it's in kindle unlimited, if that helps.
I'm looking forward to reading the next one.

This was a fun short read. It’s for younger people - YA? Maybe. But appropriate for middle school - high school more so. And after three terrible books this week, this three hour read was just the break I needed. The MMC - Frog is great!! And the MFC - Kayla is the perfect one. Storyline is cute, writing is easy to follow. Over all enjoyable and funny! Loved this read.

That was fun! Reminded me of high school. I was surprised by the ending, though, wasn't prepared for that at all.

The characters were likeable and I wanted to know what happened with them as this story progressed. Very well written and I would recommend this to any older preteen to adult who enjoys this genre.

They call him Frog and he is the most picked on kid in high school. He lives with his mom who is always going on trips leaving him alone. This is the first book in the Gulbrania series and is action adventure with a sweet romance that is geared towards teens and young adults. Things begin to change when he is paired up with Kayla, the most popular girl. Their friendship grows and he gains some confidence. Things come to a head when a series of strange events happen to him and his Mom gets scared.

This is the first book in the Gulbrania series and is action adventure with a sweet romance that is geared towards teens and young adults. This is a wonderful book full of great characters. The characters are not only interesting but full of personality that engages the reader in the story. It was interesting to see how the characters responded to the events in their lives. The book is at a good pace and full of creative events and situations you would find in a typical high school. The writing is well done and suitable for the target audience. The storyline was easy to read and hard to put down. I read it in one sitting. This is a great start to a series as it peeks the reader’s interest and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Frog is a modern day retelling of The Frog Prince with some high school twists. I like that it took on bullying and in the end the one being bullied gets the win. This is a well written and original story with great characters. I look forward to reading the next book in the Prince of Gulbrania series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
