They say time heals all wounds. And maybe they’re right. But what about wounds no one sees? The kind that open again and again? The kind that have you feeling like you swallowed glass?
Those are the wounds I carry. Years of heartbreak have created layer after layer of scar tissue over my whimpering heart. Everywhere I go, I play the part of rock star, shameless with my cocky attitude and salacious smirks. I deserve an award for how well I can fake being happy.
But then everything changes in my life—again. Turns out they were right.
After all I’ve been through, I discover my heart can mend itself after all. Even in the wake of tragedy, the tiny fragments of my heart are fusing back together.
What’s the magic elixir? In my case it turns out to be a stunning beauty with bouncy, caramel waves, a smile that has me forgetting my name, and crystal-blue eyes just like mine.

Trey is the story of a man who rises from the ashes and finds love and hope again after beating back the demons of addiction and desolation. He’s one of those characters that you can’t help but love and want so much for him to find his happily ever after.
Whoa, and boy does he ever! I loved watching Trey fall in love again.
Loved seeing Trey stand up and fight for himself.
Loved seeing Trey’s heart and soul mend, bit by bit.
Loved seeing Trey become whole again.
And that epilogue! Damn, so good and leaves me hoping for more!! ~ Missy, 5 stars
I read the previous book on this series and I shelved it under DNF. I can not remember the title. However Trey gave me a surprise. I really like this book. Miss Madden done a good job bringing a co parenting issues at the center.
Yes there is romance in it, but it took behind the seat. The issue of co parenting is wonderfully contrasting between Trey's parenting style and Camille's. I do love how Miss Madden bringing the pro and contra from both Trey and Camille's POV.
Since this is romance I was expecting some hot chemistry between Trey and Camille. Since their romance is taking a back seat, not much invested in their sizzling romance.
The moment this book arrived on my kindle, I sat in a quiet part of my house (hiding from my family...shhh!), transfixed for hours while happily devouring Trey's story. He grabbed my attention from the first time I read about him- I loved this man of many faces and emotions....most are hidden, but when he let's them out to play, guard your heart, Trey firing on all cylinders is lethal! His well traveled road to 'now' has been rough and challenging at times- money and fame do not guarantee happiness and no one knows that better than him.
Through it all, this badass rockstar has survived, accepting that day to day is the only way to live his best life. He's undeniably sexy, magnetic and brooding but also a loyal and giving friend to those he loves most. He's sarcastically funny, sometimes arrogant and often misunderstood- the darkness and demons that live inside his head often rule his actions, good or bad. Trey is an enigma you won't be able to forget and I wouldn't want to! He's one of a kind.
A.M. Madden is a masterful writer with talent oozing out of her pores. To me, her Back Up series is the crown jewel in her wonderful collection of story gems. The world of Devil's Lair, with its family of band mates and memorable characters are one of my absolute favorite places to live in for as many hours as I can. When a new book is added, I'm right back in it as if no time has passed at all. So here I am again, immersed and thrilled to be here! What a range of emotions lived inside these pages, couldn't put it down until the wee hours. I had to finish every word before I could sleep!
Trey can standalone with cleverly tucked in flashes of his mistakes, regrets and triumphs which provide the insight as to how his past shapes him now. Even so, if you love amazing rockstar romances, some suspenseful moments, intertwining stories and unforgettable characters, take a moment to add the Back Up series, where it all began, to your 'TBR'...its just so bingeworthy! They will be on my mental list of 'read me agains' forever.
I was laughing, tearing up, sighing, but mostly smiling, melting and swooning - watching this story unfold so deliciously and wishing it could go on and on. There couldn't have been of a more satisfying ending for Trey, it was perfection! A.M. Madden has blown my mind with what may just be her best book yet. I hope this isn't the end of the road for the Devil's Lair family, I don't want this world to ever stop turning!
I am so thankful to have been given a complimentary copy of this book and you've just read my honest review of Trey.
The sexy bass player of Devils Lair is back and the final chapter in his life story is about to be told.
His life has been traumatic, unforgiving and tragic since a young age, but now is Trey Taylor’s time to put those demons in there place and experience a life altering happiness that he deserves. His life will forever change with a chance meeting from his past that will see his future change in a heartbeat and in a way he never thought possible. This is a story of acceptance, hope and all consuming love. When reading Trey I feel as though I am only now getting to know the real man behind the black shades and piercing blue eyes. He masks his pain well, and over time has learnt to let in the ones closest to him to help him heal and move forward with his life. His fight to survive each day and live for the next will have you wanting to jump in the pages and hold him tight so he keeps on fighting. Yes the tears will flow but the heartfelt love in this story will change those tears to happy ones. The good thing is we still get the cocky attitude and corny jokes we love from him.
A.M.Madden has written this book to perfection and Trey’s story is finally as it should be. It’s put a smile on my face and filled my heart full of joy and happiness.
This is the first book I’ve read by AM Madden. And at first I wasn’t sure if I should have read the other books in the first series and in the spin off series too. A lot of times these “stand-alone” aren’t great read out of order and you miss a lot. But in this case I really didn’t feel like I was missing much. I understood what Trey has gone through in the past and I was able to connect with his character. The lead female character, Camilla, is a strong woman who has made her own way in life and doesn’t need a man there to help her. I really liked the story and both main characters as well as the supporting characters and all their interactions. I love a rock star romance even though they never actually played a show in the book! Overall I really enjoyed this and I’ve actually bought the entire Back-Up series as well as the 2 previous Lair books before this one now to get lost in the Devil’s Lair world again! Can’t wait to read them and learn more about Jack, Leila, and their entire group...oh and Trey too!
So many feelings! I've loved Trey since the first book. The Lair's will forever be in my heart. This book made the series come full circle for me and I was sad to see it end. I don't want to give spoilers just know that this book is going to rock your heart with all Things Trey!!!!!
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we find out where Trey is at since losing his wife and going off the rails. Also in this book are we introduced to a new character Camilla Deron. Well Trey is back not at a 100% but like his therapist keeps telling him that will take time. He still misses Tara and still feels guilty for what he lost. He is learning though that his new normal doesn't have to be defined by his past. This is still something hard to except but he is trying. On his way to a party to celebrate the signing of Cannon (who we met in Liner Notes) to the new label Trey is met by a woman from his past. Camilla can't believe that a one night stand could bring her the most amazing thing in her life. Now after a scare of her own she wants to make sure her most precious thing is taken care of should anything happen to her. Now all she needs is one thing from Trey. When these two meet and learn what is at stakes will this be a HEA or will the demons or Trey's past self implode his future?
This is such an amazing story. There is so much I want to tell you all but I don't want to ruin any surprises for any future readers. It does have many ups and downs I want to tell you about. However I want every reader to experience this story like it's meant to be with no secretes revealed. I will say this book grabs you on page one and doesn't let go even when the story end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
A rockstar, secret baby and second chance romance all wrapped into an emotional and beautiful story of growth, overcoming tragedy and how an unexpected gift can bring joy and happiness.
My heart broke for Trey. He suffered so much trauma, tragedy, heartbreak and grief in his life it’s not a surprise he turned to alcohol and substances to numb his pain. After hitting rock bottom, with the love and support of his band mates he battles his destructive habits and fights to be the best version of himself.
Camilla has been raising her daughter by herself for the last seven years. She is strong, brave and devoted so much of her love and time into making sure her daughter lived the best possible life.
The attraction that drew Trey and Camilla together all those years ago is undeniable when they reunite to co parent their daughter. They both deal with their fears and doubts and it was beautiful to see them grow individually and as a family. You will definitely be swooning over the father daughter interactions; I know I sure was.
Trey is the first book by AM Madden I have read and I really enjoyed her writing style and storing telling. I am really excited to go back and read Jack and Leila’s story and will definitely read more of her work. This is Trey’s second book and although this is spinoff to the original Back-Up series, it can be read as a standalone.
ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.
Sometimes scars and wounds fester so deep inside someone that it’s impossible to be free completely of them. And, even when rock bottom is hit, and the only way to move forward is to let go and become a different person - someone who doesn’t lose himself in liquor, drugs, or women - it’s still a rigorous climb and one that can only be taken if perspectives change and a shining light finds its way into his life.
Trey Taylor is an enigma and so not who he seems to be or who he wants to be. He definitely lives the rock star life and knows how to play that role and play it well, but that’s not who he truly is and it hasn’t been, maybe since the beginning. He cocky smirks, his piercing blue eyes, his consuming bravado are all part of his act, meant to conceal every ounce of struggle, of rage, of devastation that he does not want to show, at all costs.
A lesser man would have succumbed to the pain, to the demons that constantly want to take him under, and to the broken parts of his heart that he felt would never be pieced back together. But he doesn’t. He fights. He battles…with himself, with his past, with his sinful deeds, and what finds in that fight is there is a way out…a way to move forward…a way to grab and hold on to the happiness he found.
As much as Camilla Deron is a catalyst for Trey’s newfound happiness and a tether from his past brought into his present and future, this story is wholly Trey’s, and I love that A.M. Madden recognized that fact and focused on Trey’s healing and transformation.
A whole Trey is something to behold and the fact that he gets to that point, refusing to give up or fail proves exactly the kind of man he is. And what I love about the man he becomes is that readers still get Trey’s swagger…his corny jokes
What I love about the new and whole Trey Taylor is that readers still get his swagger…still get his more than corny jokes, but what we also get are more smiles, true joy and a whole lot of happiness.
I loved catching up with the guys from devils lair. Seeing how they were going but more importantly seeing how Trey was doing. I always felt that until he was happy and settled their story was incomplete. I have to say the author caught me by surprise at the way this story started. In a good way, i might add ! I smiled and felt the contentment settle over me. Things were going to get really interesting.
Who knew that all the bad ass behaviour that Trey got up to back in the day would come back and bite him on the ass ! Change him and make him re-evaluate the important things in his life.
How Trey copes with everything that is being thrown at him shows you just how much he has grown as a man and a person. And that everyone can be happy. You just have to let it happen and believe.
This book can be read as a standalone, but I would highly recommend you start at the beginning of this series as it gives you more of an insight into what Trey has had to endure, including all the highs and the lows. Loved loved loved it ! Congratulations A.M Madden.
I was fortunate enough to be in the ARC group for Trey. Color me bowled over by A. M. Madden's writing. I have been waiting so long for this book that I was going to take my time and savor it. Right... that did not happen. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. Needless to say I absolutely loved this book and crave the Backup series of books and stand alone's to continue very far into the future. I am a voracious reader and A.M. Madden is definitely one of my favorite writers and Trey is one of my favorite bad boy rock stars ever. Not to give anything away but once again this book, brought me to tears. Whether they are happy or sad tears, you'll have to read the book to find out. Long may you write Ann Marie Madden. You bring joy to many lives ❤
The best book of the Lair series, not because I have always loved Trey but because it is just so frkn good. Loved it!!! Trey had his HAE and then his life was destroyed, I never thought he would survive that, but after reading "TREY" I now understand he needed his past to teach him how to open up his heart so that he can really give love and heal from all his emotional scars. It was amazing to read how a certain unconditional love restored this broken Rock Star. Love the whole "Friends are Family" element in this story. Everyone from the Devil's Lair is a perfect example of that. I connected with the story instantly and felt everything. I smiled, I laughed, I was shocked, I swooned, I was angry but most of all I was HAPPY so so Happy for my favorite bass player. I don't know if I can express correctly how I love this story, but I will tell you that I dived right in and as the end of the book kept creeping up I was getting sadder and sadder that it would be over soon. I just didn't want this book to end. I LOVED IT!
A.M Madden has given us another amazing Lair Novel with Trey, the emotions you will feel whilst reading this novel are like no other my heart was hurting as we visited Treys past and then beating wildly whilst we watched him face his future.
Last time we got to see Trey was when he made a surprise appearance whilst Devil Lair were touring he'd taken a much needed break from life after suffering another heartache and being stripped bare.
Trey is still dealing with his past and learning to live again but what will happen when his past catches up with his fragile future will he run and fall apart or will he deal and move forward. Watching Trey deal with his past and future is heart breaking and warming all in one beautiful book.
Will Trey finally realise that he is loved and that he is worthy of a future filled with love.
I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
If you're a #LairLover like me you'll be interested in seeing what happens with Trey in this novel. If you've not read previous Lair / Back-Up Series novels you should before reading this one.
Trey is a lost soul. So much of his life has not been positive. What had been positive though he's clung to like glue. Working through his demons is where we meet him again in Trey.
Trey thinks he has a tortured soul. One that no good can be bestowed upon. Which is completely untrue and this novel depicts such.
If you're a fan of novels that take those that are battered and beaten only to turn them around to walk the yellow brick road - this novel is for you. I enjoyed seeing the turn around in Trey's life. Finding love again along with so much more. His character is definitely deserving.
It’s a shame because the book was well written but Camilla was such a pain, I couldn’t finish the book. I gave up at the 70% mark. Her attitude was so profoundly selfish and ignorant it was irritating. How dare she judge him and decide his suitability to be a father? She doesn’t know him. She kept going on about how he couldn’t buy his way back in and his lifestyle as if as he said he would be the first rock star to have a family. He is wealthy so it’s obvious that he would be able to afford expensive gifts. It was all about her, her confort, her attraction to him etc. that she disguised as concern for their daughter. Personally, I think Trey was too accommodating. Let’s not forget that she hid his daughter for years so the lack of bond is not his fault. I don’t see why he waited all this time to tell Alivia he was her father, nor do I see why Camilla had to be part of the package and somehow vet his life. This story would have been more realistic to me, if they had indeed had a co parenting agreement, after he refused to terminate his parental rights, and use a child psychologist to help explain what was going on to their daughter. I would have enjoyed the book more if Trey build a relationship with Alivia first and then had a romance with Camilla. As it was it was far too wishy washy and it felt like Alivia was a prop. As it was I still don’t know why she decided to come to him then, after 6 years. Shame the book could have been great but was a miss for me.
Gahhh!! What a wonderful story! Emotional and heartwarming! It was one of those reads that warms your heart from the inside! Passionate and loving! Another fantastic book by A.M. Madden!
This is a bittersweet moment for me to think we’ve come a full circle with The Devil’s Lair. Ms Madden wrapped it up with an epic yet normal ending for Trey and I will miss this rock star gang for a long time to come. I loved their god like confidence and their big hearts but most of all I LOVED their banter with each other. Lord, I even loved Trey’s stupid jokes. I’m so glad Trey fucking Taylor finally got his forever after. Ms madden, I can’t wait for the spin off series starring Shane and Alivia! I will be front and center for that. Please put lots and lots of scenes with Jack and Leila, Trey, Hunter, Scott, and Evan.
Not having read the previous installments in The Back-Up series shouldn’t hold anyone back when it comes to picking up this book as it stands strongly on its own as a tale of second chances set in the music world. From its delicious hero, Trey Taylor, to the strong-willed heroine who finds an unexpected family of her own after coming face to face with her own past. Together they make a formidable pair whose journey to HEA brought a tear to my eye while warming my heart.
Trey’s life started out under a shadow of abuse from his religious zealot father that left scars both inside and out. After leaving that life behind the memories never faded away even as his talent, and fate, had him landing a place as bassist for Devil’s Lair. It was a weight that kept his heart guarded until meeting Tara, that one woman capable of lightening his burdens...at least there was until fate once again reared its ugly head to take him down a dark and destructive path. A year post-rehab is where readers find him at the beginning of this story, with his bandmates supportive yet watchful of him. Seeing everyone around him paired off, with children by their sides, brings a wave of melancholy over him but fears too of opening his heart yet again. When Camilla shows up out of the blue though his heart definitely reawakens as she gives him one last chance at happiness in a journey that pulls at the heartstrings. Trey’s been through so much darkness in his life and I couldn’t help but want to repeatedly hug him. From the early betrayal of his parents to the loss of Tara, it’s no wonder he’s leery of opening his heart. It’s clear that he’s just going through the motions though, flashing a grin and telling corny jokes, just trying to get through each day without losing himself. Things between him and Camilla may have started out rocky but I enjoyed their deepening connection, a connection based on their mutually painful pasts. Their connection grew realistically through a slow burn and interactions that had them truly sharing their feelings. I loved both Trey’s sexy and confident rockstar persona, as well as his sweet and vulnerable side, and it all made for an immensely satisfying journey to unconditional love and an unexpected family.
Camilla Deron came from a family full of expectations for their children and unfortunately she failed more often than not in her parent’s eyes. From breaking up with the abusive man who her family loved to becoming a single parent she’s been left adrift by them now. After a recent accident her solitary existence makes her even more uncertain about the future and has her putting her affairs in order...and her one-night stand with Trey is the most pressing affair. The memory of being with Trey all those years ago has sustained her through the years, but it also leaves her completely conflicted. She can’t picture him as a father, but that’s exactly what he wants the moment she shows him a picture of Alivia. Though she at first wants to run from him, the more time he spends getting to know his daughter has them growing closer in a journey full of healing. I admired Camilla for raising her daughter on her own all those years, liked seeing her in Mama Bear mode, but was equally frustrated by the years she stole from Trey. Her assumptions about him robbed him of seven years and she’s lucky that his response to the truth wasn’t uglier. Despite my early disappointment in her decision though I still liked her and what she brought to Trey’s life in their slow climb to HEA.
This was a quick read that packed quite an emotional wallop. Lots has happened to Trey throughout the years and everything ultimately culminates in this richly rewarding romance full of intense emotions. Trey and Camilla are a good pairing, both a bit battered and bruised, who come to count on one another in a supportive connection full of heart and soul. I’m not normally a fan of children in romance books, but Alivia was charming and I enjoyed seeing Trey’s awe in her being his. Even though Trey felt alone all these years he in fact had a family...the men and women of Devil’s Lair. They’re an eclectic bunch who are more of a family than those bound by blood. They’ve always been there for Trey, watched out for him, and cared for him despite his detours into destructive behavior. They’re just as supportive throughout this story and quickly made Camilla and Alivia one of the “family” which led to the pitch perfect epilogue that wrapped up their stories beautifully. Readers looking for a rockstar-fueled series full of rollercoaster moments, steamy encounters, and rousing conclusions will want to start The Back-Up series from the very start after seeing how perfectly things end here.
Trey has been through it. But he's stabilized and back in the mix again with his crew, his band, his family. And then a blast from his past drops a hell of a revelation on him and he's left reeling. Can he do what Camilla asks, or will he fall headlong into love again, for the first time since he lost his wife?
Tortured rockstars can be a difficult trope to do well, but I'd say A.M. Madden knows what she's doing because this is a fantastic story. I love how Trey puts in work and heals, and never lets down the woman he's come to love so much. I've only read one of the other stories in the Lair world, and after this one I will definitely be reading more now.
ARC via Wildfire Marketing Solutions for an honest review.
Trey Taylor has endured a lifetime of hurt, tragedy has struck his life more times than he cares to count, and he carries the scars to prove it. Just when he thought he had finally found the happiness that had been missing from his life, it struck again and stole the only woman he had ever loved away from him. And it lead him a down a dark and dangerous path that he is still trying to recover from. Now he lives his life one day at a time, and surrounds himself with the few people he trusts to keep him on the straight and narrow.
He feels like he is making great strides... that is until a person from his past resurfaces and has a special favor to ask of him. A favor that is about to change the course of his fragile world all over again!
Trey is a story of second chances, healing, unconditional love, and survival. The moment I started this heartbreaking tale I was hooked, the words drew me in and I couldn't let them go. Watching Trey try and find his new normal again rough on the ticker, and so darn emotional, you couldn't help but feel for him. Losing the love of his life, then spiraling out of control really took a toll on him, but he was quite resilient and it was uplifting to see him conquer his demons. Then Camilla came into the picture and I started to see a shift in things, she definitely brought out the best in him, and gave him something he'd been missing all along... unconditional love. I enjoyed every single second of this one, it 's pages held a beautifully penned story that left a mark on my heart, and a smile on my face. Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
An emotional story of 2nd chances when you don't feel that you really deserve them!
We always knew that Trey's story was going to be emotional; A guitarist with a world famous band; his entire life hasn't been sunshine and roses; abused by his father a pillar of the church ignored by his mother. Trey embraced the Rocker life style whole heartedly; drink; drugs; women he did it all and loved it! Then he meet the love of his love - his wife Tara the one person that made him a better man - until a tragic accident and she was torn from him. Down agin Trey spiralled into a place that nobody wants to go and it was only his band mates his family that pulled him through.
Trey's story focuses on him now - reformed in everywhere; content to watch his band find love and grow their family - but not for Try that died the day he buried Tara and is forever tattooed on his finger.
But life is about to kick Trey in the balls once again in the form of Camilla a one night stand from the days when the band was taking off and long before Tara. But Camilla has a secret that she has kept for 7 years that is about to blow all of Treys plans for a quite life out of the window! Camilla only wants one thing from Trey one signature then to be left alone she has a plan and it doesn't include this broken Rocker! But fate has other Ideas!
I really don't want to give to much away - except there is a lot of ups and downs and heartache in this story but one I am sure you will enjoy.
This one sentence summarizes the tale of redemption and love involving the bass guitarist of Devil's Lair.
A man surrounded by love from his fellow band members, Trey is a man convinced he was undeserving of love, until circumstances irrevocably alters his view. A.M. Madden skillfully guides us along his journey towards forgiveness and demonstrates how love, in all its various forms, contributes towards his healing process. His band members provided memorable moments with their fierce protectiveness and periods of humorous ribbing. Some truly noteworthy and laughable events involve an iconic Japanese character. The unwavering support and guidance provided by Jack and Leila highlights that family comes in all different forms.
This book takes up back into the lives of Devil’s Lair. It provides another glimpse of their lives beyond the stage. Not your typical rock and roll romance, it makes the reader realize the normalcy that those in the spotlight crave and will fiercely protect from the media. This is a must read for any music fan, regardless of age.
While this is another book in the Back-Up series, this story can be read without having previously read the earlier books. However, to have a better understanding of the secondary characters, it would be beneficial to read The Back-Up Series box set.
This review was for an ARC provided by the author.
Coming 5/4 from USA Today bestselling author, A.M. Madden comes a STAND-ALONE rock star spin-off novel from The Back-Up Series.
Oh my word! This book was everything!!! I freaking loved every page of Trey and Camilla's story. Their story was flawlessly written and heartfelt. Their journey wasn't an easy one and it will take you on a emotional journey like no other. This book is a must read!
If I could give this book ten stars I would! Gah! AM Madden rocks the stage with this highly anticipated read and it seriously, gave me ALL THE FEELS. Trey Taylor has been through more heartache and pain in his thirty-three years than most people go through in an entire lifetime. In the last installment, we find Trey hitting rock bottom after losing his wife Tara. Now, just when he is finally getting back to a good place in his life, he’s hit with news that rocks him to his core, but instead of falling back into bad habits, he faces it head on and stole even more of my heart in the process.
In this final chapter of Trey Taylor’s life, he has gone from rock bottom to re-discovering who he really is and accepting the fact that he is loved by so many and finally finding himself deserving of that love. This book is definitely in my top reads of the year. I loved every page. It’s no secret that the Back-Up series has always been one of my favorite series ever and Trey just proves why all over again. I adore this band and all their families and wish like crazy they were really real. I am for always and forever a #LairLover4Life!
I don’t know how she does it, but A.M Madden did it again!
I was very excited to dive into the Lairs again! To see the “old gang” back together again is one of my favorite ways to spend my days. I was fully prepared to be on one of Madden’s roller coasters! Especially since poor Trey has faced more heartache than anyone should ever in their lifetime, but was surprised to find that this was such a heart gripping storyline. I could not put this book down!!
I think this may be my favorite of the Lair books, I’ve always loved Trey but he owns my heart now! The new characters in this novel fit perfectly with the band! I am so proud of Trey for handling the spins in life as they are handed the him in this story.
Madden has always been one of my favorite authors and I have read every single one of her books since day one. This novel was gifted in exchange for an honest review and I am giving a hands down unbiased 5stars! Amazing way to end their story!! Or is it truly over...??
Trey, you gorgeous hunk of brooding man, I can't possibly be happier for you. It seems A.M. Madden had a reason for all our pain and suffering in Sold Out. (While you don't have to read The Back Up Series to love and appreciate Trey, I suggest you do. It provides more detail. More chances to love and even more terrible jokes!)
Trey gets his HEA finally! To say I was upset about the course of his most recent years would be putting it mildly. However, even I can see that it was worth the pain. Trey is a work in progess. Fighting his demons isn't over after a quick trip to the psychologist. Trey has put in the time and is ready to be...Trey.
Receiving a surprise visit changes everything he thought he knew, thought he could handle, and brings to life everything he wanted.
I am overwhelmed by my need to hold Trey through his next phase. I have always loved the trickster but his fragile heart needs all the care it can get. Good thing Alivia is up for the challenge.
I love this new beginning. Lair lovers are going to go gaga for the new additions to the Devil's Lair crew.
I am so happy that Trey finally got what he always deserved. And I KNEW there was a big ol' softy underneath all that black and sunglasses. This has been one of my favorite series and now with this story, it takes the lead. Great writing, love the storyline and the characters are awesome. Can't go wrong with this author! ~Jen
"Anyone who has read any of the Back Up Series from A.M. Madden, is familiar with Trey. In this Lair installment, we get to read about Trey once again, we all want him to fall in love again, after the heartbreak he has been through of loosing Tara. Then in comes Camilla, a hook up from the past, and man does she give him the surprise of his life. The story is so emotional, it’s also about healing, surviving a horrible childhood, and learning what unconditional love is.
This is a great second chance story that you don’t want to end, the epilogue sure does leave on a great note. I have a feeling we will get books on all their offspring sometime in the future. " ~Stephanie
