Most collections of writing prompts have hundreds or even thousands of prompts. Why does this book only have fourteen? 14 Prompts isn’t meant to be a random list of ideas to begin your novel, it’s meant to inspire you to a whole new way of seeing your writing and even your life. You could read this book in an hour, but it will keep you writing for months. This book 14 Prompts will inspire you, teach you, and then set you loose to write something remarkable.
Ah! I must first confide that my number one resolution of 2021 will be to read non fictions. It's true non fictions aren't the stories of magic, fantasy and all those sorts but they are beyond fantasy! They are directioners. It's also true that I won't never allow non fictions to sit on my "Favourites" shelf but I will always worship the words of those books. This book was not filled with BIG, UNDIGESTABLE sentences, rather it was stuffed with humour and golden sentences. Each and every sentence had meaning and logic. The prompts of the books, truthfully, wasn't that sort of story prompts but it was a kind of more influential type.
Overall the book was insightful and I recommen0d it to all (specifically those who enjoy writing or are aspiring writers, they must get their hands on this book)
In small, explosive bites I have been handed the gauntlet. I picked it up and ran with it before I was cognizant of the fact I had accomplished the goal—not once, not twice, but 14 times. Fourteen prompts had me jumping, running, smelling, tasting and feeling. I've never tried to write about being witness to a murder victim before. This ride has been exhilarating—to where, even at the end (which I just completed) I wanted to keep prompting. So here I am. Writing for the rest of my life. Thanks for playing your part in fanning the flames of my quill, Joe Bunting.
Loved this book. It was great when I first started writing about 2 years ago. It helped me know how to get started and to continue writing on different subjects.
