Dr. Gabriel Miller is a study in opposites. He’s a certified genius at the age of 32, holding double doctorates in Egyptian history and ancient languages plus a master calligrapher’s certificate, but when he’s off work, he shows off his tats, piercings, and his hair color of the day… …though he’d give his smoky eye for true love. This young man in his thirties is looking for much more than a hookup. He’s tired of the club scene, and he’d like nothing more than to meet a man who will cherish him. When the museum he works for commissions a replica of the Rosetta Stone, Gabriel is assigned to work with the Keeper of the Stone who’s made the trip from The British Museum. Dr. Jarod Coyne lives and breathes the Rosetta Stone, and he has for most of his 45 years, sacrificing a dating life for his work. When he makes the trip to Denver however, he meets Dr. Gabriel Miller, and nothing will be the same…for either of them. Will they be able to build a life together despite distance and outside forces that are working to keep them apart? Time will tell… …but time is something they don’t have.
I'm a child of the Sixties--born and raised in Southern California. I escaped that craziness, and made my own brand of crazy in Colorado--where my husband of 46 years and I raised three lovely daughters and helped with six grandchildren. I have a soft spot for LGBT issues (naturally) and zero tolerance for blind hatred.
I can always count on Kathy Griffith for sexy banter, unique characters, intelligent content, and an ironic eyebrow raised on the lifestyle of people wherever and whenever her pen dips its sassy little nib.
LOVE NOTES is a neat romantic tale tied together by short text notes among four people—a pair of lovers, a close friend of one, and a work associate of the other. Gabriel is a respected American Egyptologist—but he’s also inked, pierced, guy-lined, and gay. He meets a fellow scholar, a Brit named Jarod, whose deep secret lies in a flirty place under his tailored trousers. The secondary characters are Gabe’s friend and confidant Adrian; and Jarod’s close work associate Maria. Together, these four characters put a few new wrinkles in the old Pharaoh’s breech-cloth!
The story is a fast read, but altogether erotic and romantic, and funny too. There are elements of mystery and angst, suspense, and even esoteric snippets of scholarly lore…something for every reader who enjoys a modern romance with more than a few saucy twists and turns along the way.
