Blue Beaver is the second book in the Awkward Series. This book was cutesy, part crazy and sassy with two peculiar characters that had me smiling.
Farmer Elijah is your everyday flannel wearing bloke that has put his life on hold since his parents passed. This has left him with the responsibilities of caring for his two brothers and a farm of Llama’s. But as time goes on, he’s realizing that surely there is more to life.
"At thirty-one, I’ve started questioning if I’ll ever find a partner to share my life with. If I can’t make the time to even try meeting someone, what chance do I have? There’s also the fact that I’m currently sharing my bed with a llama."
Fashion Blogger Charlotte is on a sex free diet after a one-night stand left her scarred and her vagina despairing. Living with ‘a debilitating yet invisible disease’ life can be challenging, but it has never stopped her from getting on with things.

Blue Beaver tackles the very emotional topic of endometriosis but also gives an insight into the struggles of a sufferer in the most heartwarming and funny way. It just lifts the mood and feel of such a heavy topic and delivers the reader a completely unpredictable but amazing story of love found under extraordinary circumstances.
With brilliantly cast characters in Charlotte and Elijah, a heavy subject can in fact be something that will absolutely tickle your funny bone. Charlotte will just totally crack you up with her rambling and Elijah’s gentlemanly ways are a breath of fresh air.
Fold into this mix, a stellar cast of support characters, particularly the Marshall Brothers, Jude and Asher, as well as Charlotte’s effervescent bestie, Reagan and her new found love Rhett and you’ve got the makings of a great story.
If you’re ready for a dose of reality, mixed with an all out laugh fest. J.B Heller...... has delivered in Blue Beaver! Great work.

Blue Beaver is the second book in this romantic comedy series and having laughed until I cried reading Pink Bits, I couldn’t wait for this release.
Charlotte is without doubt the perfect friend for Reagan, from Pink Bits, we get to know her more intimately in this book and I love her sense of humour too. She’s not as zany as Reagan, which in a way is good 😆, however she is just as caring and supportive as a friend. Elijah is a wonderful character and one I easily related to and liked. He has a depth that really shines as he befriends Charlotte.
The way this is written is like a breath of fresh air, light and fun. Great expressions are found throughout this book and oh the descriptive names are so good. Delilah needs a special mention too, such a naughty character.
Great ending! 😂 I couldn’t think of a better way to finish this short story.

I absolutely thought that this romantic comedy story about a city girl named Charlotte who is a fashion blogger and Elijah who is a farmer who lives and takes care of his two younger brothers (who by the way need their own stories) in the country.
Charlotte often drives out to the countryside to photograph for her fashion blog and this amazing country bakery Kendra owns to devour all the delights, especially when her endometriosis flairs up.
The day they meet is intense and each time afterwards just proves how wrong Charlotte had been about sexy a flannel wearing farmer was able to get under her skin no matter how much she tried to push him away.
Such a beautiful funny story filled with humour and sass.
Highly recommended reading.

Omg JB is just the best.
I’m amazed at how creative she gets with storylines and characters! And BB was no exception! If you want a wonderful/hilarious and romantic book this is the choice for you!

I absolutely love Charlotte and Elijah’s story! I loved their dynamic.. I hope we get to see more of Eli’s brothers ;)
It was a very light hearted, funny book that also happened to deal with a difficult medical issue with such poise and grace.
Delilah was a hilarious addition and the story wouldn’t have been the same without her!
I could have kept reading this story forever so I’m a bit sad it had to end.

OMG this book is so fantastic. It's funny and sexy and sarcastic and irreverantly aussie and involves llama's. I mean how can you go wrong with a diva llama and a period playlist! JB has an absolute hit on her hands. Elijah is the perfect man to handle Charlotte and Charlotte is the perfect crazy to balance his serious nature.
If you liked Pink Bits you'll love Blue Beaver, if you haven't read Pink Bits...... well read it dammit but you'll still love Blue Beaver anyway.

Just like macaroni loves cheese, JB Heller and rom coms go together. Blue Beaver is witty and entertaining. It is both equally funny as it is sexy.
I love the pairing of Eli and Charlotte and Delilah, "Satan's mistress, is a scene stealer. Blue Beaver brings my love for a good ol' country boy to the forefront. Wait a good ol' country boy and his tractor!!! Yes, owing a tractor definitely is a plus.

Absolutely loved this book. It's funny and sexy and sarcastic I couldn't put it down dont think I've ever laughed so much in my life its hilarious yet heartwarming to.
Elijah seem to be the guy every woman wants and Charlotte is the chick every girl can kind of relate to.

This is another hit for me. Again, the dialogue is great, this author is too funny. I love all the characters, they are so unique. I found the ending to be a little abrupt, but otherwise a great story.

I absolutely loved this story. I never wanted it to end and wish I could have more of these characters. I laughed and swooned at Elijah and Charlotte. They are a breath of fresh air and so realistic. We also get appearances with Reagan, who is my absolute favorite. The topic of endometriosis is so important and the author weaves it beautifully into this story while bringing awareness to a debilitating health issue. Looking forward to her next book and recommend this for anyone who wants to laugh and fall in love.

What an amazing read! It’s light hearted and funny but also so emotionally relatable. Charlotte and Elijah are such a refreshingly and realistic pair. It brings such an important message to the forefront and anyone struggling with endometriosis can see how perfectly it’s threaded into the story. It had a different feel from Pink Bits, but I loved it as it is and would highly recommend it to anyone that wants a great five star read! (P.S I wish there was more!!!)

This novella was the absolute best! Though I could read so much more about Charlotte and Elijah!
Highly entertaining, I laughed alot but I also felt so much when Charlotte was dealing with what she has to! I admire her strength and I swooned at Elijah and his brothers!
Add animals into the story and this made the novella a definite must read for me!

A great, quick little read that left me wanting more! Charlotte and Delilah’s relationship had me chuckling. As a women with endometriosis and a bunch of other pelvic diseases I adored Eli and his brothers going above and beyond. Such a beautiful little story. I really hope to see more from these characters.

What happens when a city gal means a pure country boy, one hilarious book!! I loved the lightness and comedy aspect of this story that I literally couldn’t stop giggling like a dumb ass lol but after reading Pink Bits wild horses couldn’t have kept me away from Blue Beaver. The complete opposites that are Elijah and Charolette worked perfectly ok this book and the banter between was exactly what I’ve wanted to read for a while but few authors in my opinion can do write but JB Heller is one of them.

This right here made me fall more in love with Elijah! He is what every man should be like. If I had a guy like Elijah I would never let him go!
And now on to Charlotte! I loved her character. She made me laugh and cry. She was such a strong female lead.

I freaking loved this book, just as much as I loved Pink Bits! Elijah and Charlotte have intense chemistry but has her reasons for not dating and no relationships. Elijah is sexy and determined to make her his. Then you have Delilah, lol, or as Charlotte calls her "demon spawn". An absolutely awesome read with humor, sexual tension galore, and swoon worthy sweetness.

Absolutely loved this book. Couldn’t put it down. Elijah is the man all women are looking for and Charlotte is the women a lot of women can relate too. Blue Beaver made me have many laughs. Can not wait to read more.

JB Heller has definitely become a must read for me. Being that I am a huge fan and lover of romcoms and awkwardness, her stories are right up my alley. Blue Beaver was a great second book and I devoured it. I felt like it was over before it even started which sucks because I loved these characters and their dynamic and I wanted to see more. It was a case of “time flies when you’re having fun.”
I can’t wait for whatever comes next from JB Heller and I recommend this series for anyone interested in light reads that make you laugh and swoon.

I truly can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard reading a book. It was a can’t breathe, tears streaming down my face, stomach muscles hurting kind of hilarity that I needed so badly right now. Thank you J.B. Heller for sharing Charlotte and Delilah’s rivalry with the world. Elijah, Asher & Juda were icing on a particularly yummy cake. Also from an invisible illness sufferer, the struggle is real and you made that clear in Charlotte’s Endo battles. Thanks for that. 😊

Second Book in the Awkward Series – The First Book in the Series is Pink Bits
We’ve met Charlotte in the previous book; she was a friend of Reagan. Even then, we knew she had endometriosis.
Now, before I start writing about the book, let’s talk about the fact that there’s finally an author who has taken a topic that is hardly talked mentioned in books and certainly not up to the author’s level of a complex cycle – endometriosis.
**** For those who do not know what it is ****
Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the womb’s lining starts to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Endometriosis can affect women of any age. It’s a long-term condition that can significantly impact your life.
So you must have already understood that this is an unusual heroine. She’s not one of those heroines who eats a scoop of ice cream because her stomach hurts a little during menstruation or has no menstruation at all because it is not “important” in the book – here, her menstrual cycle is significant and very interesting.
Charlotte is a fashion blogger who knows she will have a hard time finding a guy who knows how to get along with her situation. She happens to run into Elijah (Eli) twice, and the second time, she’s not “just” runs into him; he is the person that helps her when he sees her car is stuck.
Don’t you think that this book was predictable and obvious. This book was anything but expected.
Eli’s character was very special (totally SWOON). He was lonely but not by choice. He really wanted someone. He works hard and is very dedicated to his family and his work – and also his Llama. Yes, Llama.
Eli and Charlotte could not be more opposite, but they still have to get along for a few hours together with no choice.
So here’s a sexy and quiet guy with a plaid flannel shirt. A beautiful, energetic, and fashion blogger woman, and between them, there is an engaging, funny, sensitive, delicious (I swear) story that you can’t miss.
Of course, the beautiful couple Reagan and Reth are making fun and good guest appearances here.
