THE FINAL CHAPTER IN THE UNTOUCHED TRILOGY

They call it a gift. Something desired, something that makes you better than the rest of the world. But Reading doesn’t feel like a gift to Thankful Tenys.

She never wanted to manipulate or trick anyone. She doesn’t feel like life has become suddenly wonderful now that she's a Reader. In fact, her world is falling to bits, one rare happy piece at a time.

Readers kidnapped the love of her life and would still like to use Liam and his Knowing ability. They killed her aunt Phoebe, her confidante and friend, for bravely attempting to rescue Thankful's mom. They are everything she despises. And they want her to be one of them?

As Thankful learns to live with a thousand voices in her head, she wonders if there really is a way to save her mother AND keep Liam safe—but will it mean putting her trust in the same people she fears?

What a letdown!!! :(

The series was good - a little long winded at times - but overall very engaging, interesting, well-paced and kept you guessing and questioning. But the ending.... I kept looking at how much of the book I had left and at 81% and us being where we were in the story, I figured: okay, maybe this wraps up Liam and Thankful’s part of this story and we’ll move into someone else’s within this world to see how all this is resolved. Because no way could the story be done with only 19% of the book left. Ugh. I was right and I was wrong. It did end, but not well. Not with any true resolutions. And no, we didn’t get a continuation or spin-off series. It’s just over.

I truly think Book 3 should have ended once Sally was admitted into Johns Hopkins and then Book 4 should have begun. We would have had so much more time for questions to be answered, things to be changed, a more cohesive and less-rushed ending.

I think I just wish I could have gotten more from this series. A better resolution. So many things that were written seemed like they were leading up to something, going somewhere, but they never did. And there weren’t any resolutions in them. It was weird and off-putting. But do I regret reading the books? No.

(Feels like I should’ve written more in my review and gone a bit more in-depth, doesn’t it? Like something’s missing and it ended abruptly. Yep; and that’s exactly how you’ll feel when you finish reading this series. ;) )

You must read this trilogy one after another. I read other books while waiting for the next one to come out. I am so proud of Thankful’s strength.
Jen makes these characters so real! I would love to see a 10 year later book.

This story takes Liams and Thankful’s relationship to a whole new level! It tests their love for each other while she is trying to help take care of her mom while fulfilling other promises.

I loved it! I laughed, cried and kept turning pages until I fell asleep.
Thank you Jen!!

I really enjoyed this series but I, like another reviewer, was a bit disappointed in the ending. Somewhere around 80% I remember telling my husband how much was left and that I literally had no clue how it would end. It seemed to be right in the middle of the story still. I would have liked to see some parts of the story explained better/wrapped up more, though I did love the very last bit with Thankful and her mother; it was bittersweet but perfect.
This book really showed Liam and Thankful’s love for each other and their strength and courage to continue going. They may have been young, but their love was stronger than so many. I definitely recommend reading this trilogy. Jen Atkinson is a fantastic author.

Jen Aktinson is such a phenomenal writer. This incredible ending to her trilogy literally left me feeling so satisfied with the ending. It was definitely one of those books where 100 pages from the end I still didn't know how things would work out and yet beautiful, beautifully, she ended it. The whole Untouched trilogy is like nothing I have ever read because unlike so many other books this wasn't a story where a young teenager someone saves the world. But it is ABSOLUTELY a story where a young girl saves herself, her family and those she loves. I would recommend this unique trilogy to anyone.

The story is kind of like Romeo and Juliet but these families have slightly more reasons to hate each other.

Around page 180 it gets slow and a little boring. It’s also around the time Thankful starts acting a little dumber than usual.

It picks back up but the book didn’t flow like the others. Maybe This book needed to be two?

Slight spoiler:
The ending was interesting but the whole time she was there had just letters. And why would they be apart so long? The love story dies in the end although they stay together

I loved the series!! I went straight from one book to the next. It was hard to ever stop reading for real life! I loved the ending but I wanted to know more about what happened with the Readers afterwards. Hoping for a spin-off!
