Can Emma figure out who is in the attic before the killer finds out she's looking into the matter?

Poor Emma. What started as a relaxing vacation before tourist season with her best friend Raina, ended up in another murder. At least she wasn't a suspect this time! This time it's Raina's first crush who needs saving after a corpse is uncovered in the attic of his inherited house. Reed incorporates a little murder with some family sparring and secrets, with a touch of hinted romance. Perhaps romance is too strong a word yet. Great as a stand alone or continuation of Emma's adventures. Looking forward to Reed's next one.

Exciting and mysterious a book to read when you need to take your mind off your own troubles. Who knows what you might find when you go out with a friend on a visit. You can guess or read this book to find out all the situations that they get into.
I received this book as a free book and enjoyed reading it on a day that was seriously cold and snowing.

Much better than the first book

A terrific read. Her mother's role has been downplayed and she's starting to get a bit more oomph behind her. A nice plot that centres around her BFF and the renovations that her long term crush is carrying out on his inherited farmhouse. The characters have really started to come into their own but which hunk will she pick? My vote goes Joe (solid through and through) although Deke has the whole charismatic vibes going on.
A trip with her BFF to see the farmhouse that is being renovated into a B&B ends with a skeleton being found in an old trunk. With the local force acting against him it is up to her and her BFF to investigate. Long term family feuds, vandalism, an driving accident that resulted in death, her friendly detective and a showdown. Will she find out who the skeleton is and why he was found in the farmhouse? Will she live to fight another day? Why hasn't Deke been in touch?

Corpse in a Crate is the second book in the Cape Hope Mystery Series. I just couldn’t get into this book. I like the characters but I was distracted and not looking forward to the book. So I’m giving this series a rest. #cozymystery #cozymysteryreaders #murdermystery #booksofig #booksofinstagram #reading #readingchallenge #readingchallenge2020 #aliciareads
