Shifters Finn and Silas have been married for five years and are finally ready to start a family. But as two alphas, they need to adopt. When the adoption agency falls through, they start looking for a surrogate.
Aiden is an omega living in Vale Valley. Helping the couple become parents sounds simply right for him, especially since they’re so nice and – not to mention – gorgeous.
One rule is not to mess with Finn and Silas’s relationship… but will it work that way once they’re all living together in Vale Valley? Or will Aiden have to give up Finn and Silas once the baby is born?
I am knocking off one star due to the fact that even though this is supposed to be a Vale Valley book there is so little of the town in this very generic book it may as well have been situated anywhere. The second star I am withholding is because the writing in the book is just blah. It is not bad... but it is also not good. There were too many times where I found myself just pushing through to get to the end. I want authors that write such that it draws you in and carries you along. This was not that kinda book. The one shiny and bright thing in the book is the three MCs. Silas and Finn are great. But the real prize is Aiden! He may be a mouthy brat at times... but he brought life and excitement to the story! Overall a sweet story but just average.
This was book 7 in the "Vale Valley Season 3" . Shifters Finn and Silas have been married for five years and are finally ready to start a family. But as two alphas, they need to adopt. When the adoption agency falls through, they start looking for a surrogate. When they visit Silas mother in Vale Valley they meet with Rosemary and Chance to look into getting a surrogate. They meet with two women and a male the first girl was only in it for the money when they meet Aiden they both know that he is the one for them. Aiden is a young omega cat shifter college student who was kicked out of his home for being gay he was taken in by an older omega Tristan. I really liked all the characters in this book. When Aiden suggest that they try to make a baby the old fashion way instead of in vitro they begin having sex it was hot and heavy. When he gets pregnant Aiden runs away. Silas also struggles with his feelings and the what ifs like if Finn and Aiden would leave him to be with together. This was a good read but the book did have a few typos. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Alpha husbands Finn and Silas decide to look for a surrogate to have the child they desperately want since the adoption agency screwed them over. They meet Aiden, the perfect candidate. Together they arrange a business deal. I like the slow burn of the story, allowing these Finn and Silas to get to know Aiden and vice versa. There was the inevitable messiness when they all became involved. All three growing closer despite the limitations of their circumstances. I found this to be a well written story that was sweet with all the feels. This is my first Vale Valley book but definitely not my last. I look forward to Tristan's story and catching up on all the Vale Valley's I've missed.
Two things: the writing isn’t good, and this isn’t how surrogacy is supposed to work. Finn and Silas are two alpha tiger shifters who desperately want to start a family. But two alphas can’t carry children, so they first start with adoption. When that falls through, they decide to go with a non-official on-the-cheap surrogate. That’s how they meet Aiden, a young college student willing to give them the gift of a baby at reduced cost. And here is where the problems begin for me. As far as these three men as characters, I liked them well enough. Aiden can be a bit sassy and outspoken and pretty fun. Silas and Finn were more or less the same character except that Silas tended to be a bit more closed off at times (it definitely didn’t help that the chapters were in first person and sometimes the author accidentally got their names switched so I kept forgetting whose head I was in). But the romance between the three of them made me a bit uncomfortable. First of all, I felt like boundaries got crossed really early that shouldn’t’ve been. Finn and Silas are a married couple who are after a baby, not a third, so them getting really connected to Aiden really quickly gave me pause. And then Aiden offered up the suggestion of conceiving naturally instead of through fertility treatments and I got really uncomfortable. It all works out in the end with the three of them accidentally falling in love with each other and deciding to stay together, but honestly with a different writer this could’ve been a thriller. It honestly sounded like the set-up for a Lifetime movie for a bit there, which certainly didn’t put me in the mind for romance. So with how uncomfortable the first half made me, I really couldn’t get into this. It’s a nice enough story and the ending was cute, and I’m glad that everything turned out alright with them all together and in love (even though some of the language around that was a bit cringy in terms of like, I don’t know, second-gender homophobia?) (seriously, two alphas apparently suddenly deciding that their relationship could only be complete with an omega certainly smacks of... something), but I had a bit of a hard time with this one. Honestly, I was expecting that the three of them would be fated mates, or that their sudden closeness would be put down to the magic of Vale Valley, but none of that ever came up.
I was pleasantly surprised at this omega shifter MMM romance!
Silas and Finn are tiger shifters who both happen to be alphas. They've been married for 7 years and are looking at starting a family together. When the adoption process doesn't go as planned, they look into finding a surrogate.
Aiden is an omega house cat shifter who needs the money to go to school and get out of Tristan, his non-biological father's, house. He's ready to move on and give Tristan a chance at a life of his own. When he meets Silas and Finn, the idea of carrying their baby feels right.
Both Silas and Finn promised each other they'd never let anyone come between them, but when snarky and sweet Aiden shows up and catches their eye from the start, they have no choice but to fall for him.
I loved the fact that Silas and Finn are both unmated alpha's, married to each other. The entire premise and set up for this story was perfect. They were willing to give up their jobs and home and move to be closer to Aiden and they clicked perfectly from the start.
My only grievance was that we never got to see their shifter sides. I wanted to know what they were like together from that aspect. I also wanted Silas to share what had him so upset at the lake.
I'm hoping this will continue on with Tristan's story in the future because I love that he's on the lookout!!
I don’t really know how to write this review. I wanted to like this book, really ! I love this kind of story. But... It was so rushed. And underdeveloped. And quick. So, so quick. The POVs was mixed together (not all the time. But I was confused more than once...)
I love M/M/M. I love Omegaverse. And I love Mpreg. This book was not for me. Unfortunately.
For it’s a 2,5 because I don’t like put less. But i don’t think I will read more of this author.
I almost dnf'd this one at the 40% mark as I hated the way the couple was thinking about Aiden. I'm glad I kept going cause it got a lot better and I actually got emotional when Aiden got pregnant.
If you are going to write a mmm with an established couple, you cannot have the third be thought of as something other and not an equal if you want me to continue reading it.
This wasn't too bad. I really thought Aiden would be treated like an interloper to Silas and Finn's marriage, but I was pleased to find that Aiden was respected. I did enjoy the light angst throughout as they started developing feelings for each other, but things started to get a bit repetitive with declarations of love once the reconciliation scene came around. I wasn't interested in wading through all of that just to finish the book, so I just stopped after they got back together. We all know what's going to happen once they get home. 😏
It was the first time i read a book by this author and have to say i was quite impressed. I loved how Silas, Finn and Aiden worked togther to make their relationship work
I gave this book 3.5 stars but since there's no half I'll round up. I liked this book it started out so fun, funny and loving them it just... Lost me!
Character breakdown;
Finn: I liked him level headed alpha, seem to understand everything better than the other two. So he was more like a beta, keeping the balance.
Silas: I didn't like how he walked away from emotional moments. Or how he was okay to cuddle with Aiden but not with Finn. Who he married, and supposedly loved. Oh and then at the end of the book him expressing how Aiden in labor tore him apart..... Really???
Aiden: now here is the reason why I could not give this book an actual 4 stars. He started out like the typical sassy omega, I liked it. Then he went from sassy to bratty in like three chapters. Towards the end of the book he was just downright bossy. It irritated me, and I cannot express the sudden urge to throat 👊 him....I'm sorry but yeah...
Couple of things:
1- did they ever get the money back? 2- what's Tristan story?
Not my first Chris McHart book but definitely a favourite. For me, mpreg needs to be done well for me to really enjoy it, and this one is done SO WELL. It helps that, although the pregnancy is the reason everything else happens, it’s not the main focus. The focus is the build of the feelings and interrelationships between Silas and Finn, established and happily-married couple and both Alphas, and Aiden, lovely omega with, in my opinion, a heart of gold who is willing to help them achieve their goal of being parents. I love Aiden so much, he’s not had an easy run of it but is so good. The slow(ish) shift of the relationship is beautifully done, the sex is off-the-charts (thank you for the DP btw, Chris) and the bonus of Aiden’s father-figure, Tristan, is such a good addition. Can’t wait for his book!
Welcome back to Vale Valley! This book is so sweet and sexy! It is so full of emotion. I loved this book! You will fall in love with the men in this book. And you will Feel. A lot. This book is sexy & sassy, with angst, hope, burgeoning love. You will fall in love along with Silas, Finn & Aiden. As Vale Valley wields her magic and draws Silas and Finn to her, in their quest for a child; you will feel not only their despair & anger, but also their hope. Aiden seems to be what they've been looking for... the perfect surrogate. Contract and all. But this is Vale Valley. These three men Will find their HEA. The fun is in getting them there. You are going to love this book! I could not put it down. Grab it. Read it. Love it. I did. This book contains adult themes and language, steamy mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
One More Than Planned by Chris McHart is part of the third season releases of the Vale Valley series. This is the sweet and sexy story of two Alphas, Finn and Silas, whose search for a surrogate leads them to Aiden, an omega who is the missing piece they never realized they needed. These characters are sweet and have chemistry... I love how Aiden fits right in with them and how things evolve.. the story is fun, sexy, sweet and perfect for Vale Valley.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
Kudos to all three men for having the courage to attempt this wild arrangement. It took a lot of strength of character and love for your partner to put your relationship on the line like this. Things could have gone much differently. In the end, all three men found their missing pieces to make them whole. Such a beautifully sweet emotional story, and I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for Tristan's story. He was a selfless sweet man who deserved a good boy.
Paranormal mmm romance Two alpha male tiger shifters want a baby, by the adoption agency has turned them down. They recruit an omega surrogate, but when the arrangement ends, everyone is unhappy. I was disappointed that none of the shifters actually shifted on the page. It has the expected HEA. Typos: a few extra or missing words, off used for of, windpipe should never be plural, laid used for lay, mine for my, singular for plural, "1000 times" instead of "a thousand times."
I really really liked the story! Nothing like a sassy and snarky omega to put his alphas in place! All the characters were really easy to like and I liked the focus of the story. No unnecessary scenes and characters, just the trio with some outside help. A great read :)
I received an ARC copy of the book and voluntarily leave an honest review
Silas and Fin has been married for 7 years and now really wants a child together. When the adoption agency let's them down, they start looking for a surrogate that leads them to Aiden. I love Aiden he is on sassy omega. Together they realise what has really been missing...
This is one super hot MMM romance that will leave you wanting more. I cannot wait for Tristan's story!
I absolutely LOVED this lovely, sweet, charming, engaging, sexy, grab-you-by-the-feels, and delightfully different twist on the standard Alpha/Omega trope. I fell in love with Finn, Silas, and Aiden from the very beginning, and cheered at the wonderful HEA ending.
