Missing His Omega

Rate this book
There’s no use crying over spilled coffee—unless it ruins your livelihood.

Sean’s a lawyer with a promising career. He’s a regular alpha-about-town with a demanding job and a busy social life, while Evan’s a struggling freelance writer, juggling multiple jobs and personal issues.

The chance meeting of the alpha and omega, who approach life from opposite directions, puts them at odds with one another. Fate throws obstacles at the pair, making them giddy as they wrestle with frustration, denial and uncertainty.

And yet their relationship is riddled with humor and playfulness, and their teasing exposes their innermost feelings.

Whether dealing with the unexpected or ongoing family squabbles, Sean and Evan form a pact, one that is threatened when the omega’s past intrudes and meddles with his future.

And through it all, the scent of coffee zigzags into their lives until they find themselves back where they belong.

This is a 55,000-word nonshifter, contemporary mpreg novel with a guaranteed HEA.

A Nonshifter Alpha/Omega Mpreg Romance.

Once again on my own in this one. Started okay, but I couldn't take the double standard...

All Alphas are assholes and omegas can do no wrong. Evan is rude mean and will whenever possible think the worst of Sean just because he is an Alpha, this is despite Sean by all accounts being a nice guy.

Evan is the worst type of character, always righteous when it comes to judging others, but when it suit him he will do the exact same thing he judges in others.

Did not love this. Evan was a mix of nasty, entitled and a martyr. Sean was better but way too willing to accept name calling directed at him etc. They fought inexplicably, their banter was awkward, and chemistry nonexistent. Add in the editing issues and it just was no bueno for me.

What do you get when you mix an arrogant, overbearing, and wealthy alpha, a scrappy, feisty, and fiercely independent omega, a accidentally spilt cup of coffee, a series of home disasters, possible fated mates, a night of passion, and an OOPS! moment? Throw in some undeniable chemistry hot enough to melt your ereader, and you get this hilariously funny grab-you-by-the-feels, charming, endearing, sweet, and totally awesome start to a fantastic new series.

Strange mix of slow burn and insta lust. These two were constantly going back and forth but it was slightly confusing. It was as if the Alpha was refraining himself from being a natural alpha-hole and the omega was trying to be strong willed and independent...but then they would get confused by pheromones or lust before flipping attitudes and snapping at eachother. They would constantly go back and forth between flirting, saying things they didn't mean and arguing. I honestly was very confused and so were the characters (so the authors clearly did this on purpose).

The Alpha said it was always one step forward two steps back with them, and the omega said "We either clashed or connected. There was no in between." Both of those descriptions were accurate to a huge chunk of the story.

I'm very confused because the whole original 7 book Cafe Om series got all 5 stars from me. But this one felt like it didn't flow at all. By the last 25% it kind of ironed its self out, but I almost DNF'ed it several times.  Idk if I will continue the series now. But I hope to read the Christmas Prince story which features a character I found interesting in this book. (Assuming it is the same character.)

3,5*

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:
A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series
from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year),
it's like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok)
It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the
whole line, dismissed, repeat the class

This was okay, probably not something I'd read a second time. I felt that the characters were very unlikeable and downright rude to each other. The reaction to a spilled coffee was very dramatic and unnecessary. I found myself turning the pages only hoping that the story would get better and I would finally feel chemistry between the two main characters, but I was disappointed. I really would not recommend this book.

Interesting and fun

This is my first non shifter Alpha/omega story. It certainly felt a bit different. I kept waiting for the magic and mythical beasts to arrive. Overall though, the story was well developed and the characters like able and realistic. And the romance was very steamy!

Cute, sappy, fun novel, first in the Cafe Om Forever series. A spilling accident at Cafe Om introduces alpha lawyer Sean to omega writer Evan. A feisty courtship follows, with a flood, a kidnapping and high drama filling a plot with two remarkably contrasting families. And some atypical behavior for the principal pair.

Return of Café Om

A failed meet cute, drama and one very opinionated omega bring us back to the world of Café Om. References to previous characters does happen but other than the café world it's a complete spin-off. Still it's nice to be back and I can't wait to see what comes next.

Really good

I loved cafe Om since the first two series and I’m glad there’s more to read. These two MCs are brilliant and well worth a read . I love omegaverse HEA and if you do it’s highly recommended

Sean & Evan

Sean and Evan are attracted to one another, but Evan and his friends take a dislike to him because he is rushed when they first meet. Several of their arguments are sudden and strange, more of miscommunication the other person reacts out of proportion.

How a little accident can get you a mate.

This book had me laughing throughout it. The banter between Owen and Sean was great. And you have a little twist in the sex part. I only wished that Owen's parents were thrown in jail.

A lawyer for everything

Sean spilled his coffee on Evan the very first time he saw him. The he acted like A total alpha hole. Hard to believe that they ever get together.

Alphahole to Alpha- sensitive? What's an Omega to do?

Welcome to the world of Cafe Om. This is a new series with a new Cafe Om Cafe. Old friends & the Omega House are mentioned. But this book stands on it's own, even if you have not read the Cafe Om series. I recommend reading the series, you will be glad you did.
This is Sean and Evan's story. Successful lawyer Sean literally runs into sweet writer omega Evan; nearly killing Evan's laptop with coffee. Then Sean rushes off. Alphahole. But Evan smells delicious and Sean can't get him out of his head. Evan wants to hate Sean, but his hormones & emotions say different. When circumstances throw them together, they must learn to live with each other, faults and all. Evan's unexpected heat proves what a truly unique Alpha Sean is. HEA is assured, but the road there is full of surprises.
This book has it all: danger, angst, insecurities, a little kink, trust issues, over- bearing parents, and loving family. Ooh, did I mention the really hot sex? Mpreg, and babies? You will love this book. Get. It. Now!
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex, and is intended for mature readers only.

Missing His Omega is the first book in the Cafe Om Forever series by Harper B. Cole and Colbie Dunbar. It is a contemporary, non-shifter Alpha/Omega Mpreg romance set in the Cafe Om universe. Sean is a sexy and confident Alpha who is immediately drawn to the omegawhose computer he accidentally spills coffee all over. Evan is the independent omega who suddenly needs a little help. These two characters come together with fiery chemistry, sweet interactions and a surprise baby. I absolutely love them together. Drama, humor, steam and romance... another great read in Cafe Om land.

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

I really enjoyed reading this fascinating Mpreg romance, it is a splendid start to a new series. The plot is well-written & highly entertaining. The characters are well-developed, strong-willed & ultimately complement each other.
There is: a rather cocky alpha & lawyer (Sean) has a mishap with coffee & a laptop belonging to a strong-willed feisty omega (Evan) then the situation turns interesting, drama, suspense, humor, strange attractions, chemistry, longings, uncertainty, compromises, heat issues, frustrations, discovery, an unexpected surprise, parental ultimatums, devious plans, manipulations, determination, playfulness, happiness, love, some steam & a well-deserved delightful conclusion. I look forward to future books from this author & would recommend this Mpreg romance.

Lordy, but these two snark like nobody's business! Sean annoyed me with his alpha arrogance and rude comments at the start of the story but I soon realized it was a facade that he thought he needed to have. Evan may be an omega but he didn't put up with one speck of Sean's crap. I enjoyed that Evan remained strong when his parents put him in a bad situation and even though Sean did freak out a bit he proved his worth by riding in to the rescue. I liked that Evan's first thought is for helping his friend and not just for getting the heck outa dodge. It was sweet to see these two with their bundle of joy finding their HEA.

This is the first book in the new Cafe Om related series, however cafe Om is still heavily featured in this one. Our Alpha Sean is a super confident lawyer with no relationship experience, does he mess it up? Oh yes! Our Omega Evan doesn’t have a lot of self confidence, he’s just starting to build a career. They clash, a lot, till they don’t! It’s fun watching their relationship develop. The secondary characters are mainly good except for Evans parents, who really should be locked away. The relationship development is over most of the book, with a rush of action in the latter stages.
A nice start to the new series.

I have read the entire previous Cafe Om series and in this first installment of the new series the stereotypes of the omegaverse world are taken to extremes, the division between Alphas and Omegas is very similar to society's expectations of men and women in the 50's. Sean has never questioned his status an Alpha; he is not a bad person but he just never took time to understand how society treats Omegas. This changes when he meets Evan, the omega who ran away from a future written by his parents, who fights for his independence, who shows Sean that Omegas can be in control, even in bed.

It was an enjoyable read written in alternate POV with several sweet moments

Brilliant start to new series . Sean is an arrogant alpha and Evan is a strong willed omega . They get off to a bad start where Sean spills coffee over Evans laptop . But there is chemistry between them . It takes Evan losing his apartment to Sean as a good alpha as he steps in to help out . They have chemistry between them which is explosive ,Evans tries to deny . But then an unexpected pregnancy changes everything. A must read . Will be recommending
