Fake It #0.5

Love On Willow Loop

Rate this book
Tori walks the dogs on Willow Loop every day at the same time. She's had the same routine for three years, and nothing has ever changed it.

Ian is new to the neighborhood and recently adopted a dog from the shelter. A freak accident involving the excitable fluffball throws the two together for better–or worse.

NOTE: this is a clean romantic-comedy novelette with lots of laughs, dogs, and one jealous beta fish.

Great short story. Fun characters. Loveable animals. Romantic comedy at its best! Quick to read and leaves you wanting to spend more time with the two main characters. I just have to know who ultimately wins between the battle between Beulah the beta fish and Ian the quirky dentist!

Super fun and super cute story about Tori and Ian who meet under less-than-perfect circumstance. It’s clean and wholesome, with great banter and laugh-out-loud moments.
If you enjoy clean rom-com, you’ll thoroughly enjoy this one. The author is new to me and she’s definitely a keeper on my general market rom-com to read list.

Let me first just say that I absolutely LOVE books with quirky characters.

And this book didn’t disappoint. Example: Tori’s purple hair. I loved that.

It was so, so VERY cute!! I enjoyed the humor, the dialogue, the feels…all of it was just super good and refreshing!

As far as content goes: CLEAN! 👏👏

I wish there had been an epilogue of some sorts, but that’s just a personal preference, I still loved the story regardless. 💗💗

Short and funny meet-cute with dogs. And a jealous beta fish. :)

This lighthearted, short rom-com is the first story I've read by this author, and it has made me want to read more books by her.

Love on Willow Loop by Carina Taylor
This was such a sweet little story. I finished it in one afternoon. I’m giving it a solid 4 stars. And I would recommend it to anyone looking for a short, feel-good read.

Tori walks dogs in part-time. One day while walking dogs, she meets Ian. Unfortunately, Ian’s dog gets so excited about meeting Tori that he runs Ian into a light pole, resulting in Ian getting a concussion. Tori decides to nurse Ian during his recovery. Most people are off-put by Tori’s quirkiness, but not Ian. He thinks she’s adorable.

I was given an advanced copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

Overall I really feel like this novella gets a 3.5 ⭐️ simply because it’s really too short. If there was a little more to this story, I would rate it higher, but I really enjoy the way this author writes so I gave it a 4. My concern is that since it is so short, the author doesn’t develop the characters enough to allow the story to flow. From first hello to sleeping on an air mattress in the guys home - it just doesn’t sit right with me. But regardless, it’s a cute story overall about opposites that really do attract.

3 1/2 rounded up to 4 stars for Goodreads rating

I discovered this story as a freebie on Black Friday and immediately wanted to check it out. This is a cute romance between two dog owners and neighbors in a small community. Even in this short and sweet novella, the author's voice shines through with charm and humor. This reminds me of just how much I enjoy her stories and how long it's been since I've read one of her books (about six months). So I enjoyed this great romance littered with quirks and humor and will definitely be reading more by this author soon!

Tori is a dog walker; she makes candles, jewelry, she knits, crochets and she is a nurturing soul. Ian is walking his humongous dog when the dog drags him towards Tori, knocks him into a light post and slams into her sending her rear over teakettle. Ian’s injuries from his impact with the light post have Tori calling 911. I normally don’t give a short read like this 5 stars because I feel cheated that I didn’t get a complete story. Not so in this case.

“A loud bark took my attention away from the sidewalk where I had been carefully avoiding the cracks. Hopefully my mother would appreciate the lengths I went to, to keep her healthy.” - Tori

Tori is minding her own business calmly walking three dogs when a big fluff ball has other plans. This starts a chain of events which lead her to staying with a cute concussed stranger.

That meet cute had me laughing out loud along with other parts of the book. Tori is caring, fun, and dearly loves animals. Ian is great with his dry sense of humor. Such a quick fun read.

Rounding up. This was cute & sweet. I liked how Tori was confident in herself, and she said whatever was on her mind. Ian was very accepting. Their deep feelings were EXTREMELY fast though. But somehow I could overlook that. I think there was a little more insight on Tori's personal life than Ian. This was a good quick read without serious drama. I wonder if the couple will make a cameo in another book.

One of those books that you can't put down. The story and the witty banter between the characters, Tori and Ian made it an amusing and enjoyable book. I liked the characters, both human and animal, and was happy to meet Beulah, the jealous beta fish.
I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

Wonderful

This is probably the only super short romance I've read that I actually liked. I didn't just like it, either. I loved it! It was pretty perfect. It was pretty perfect. It had the right amount of character development to make you feel confident in how well you know the characters and make them feel super real, which is often the hardest part of getting a novella or novelette right. And, the plot was absolutely perfect for the story length. I didn't feel like the author was trying to cram 10 years of a relationship into 100 pages. It was very beautifully done. A quick, very fun, extremely well-written read.

A cute short story about a dog walker / entrepreneur (Tori) and how she meets Ian. The characters were adorably quirky and endearing, the dog characters were amusing. Ian has an accident and Tori helps care for him for a few days. This is an instalove story and a quick, enjoyable read.

Tori is a local dog walker with a huge personality. Ian is new to the area with a very big hearted dog. Their accidental meeting is too funny to share here. I thoroughly loved reading this novella. It's a giggler.

This short novella was so cute! It’s only about 50 pages long, so it’s a very quick read. It was fun to read about Tori and Ian who I first met in Mr. HOA. I love how they meet!
