Cute little poems that express the everyday drama and frustration that comprises a middle-schooler's life. One that's particularly good is "Fighting Words" and other poems about typical fights and betrayals among girls. I think this book would also be appropriate for girls grades 4-6.

Sara Holbrook, author of these poems, was a speaker at a conference I attended; she is not only a talented poet but is also an entertaining speaker.

The poems in this book are all about children and school and friends and are mostly humorous.

This book contained mostly funny poems about the challenges and joys of middle school. It talks about everyday events, yet in a humorous way. It talks about friendships, schoolwork, and families. The tone of the book is simple, yet fun. It was a short and easy read.
