Beautifully and clearly photographed, this books introduces women to the practice of yoga. Asisde from the helpful sequences and illustrated poses, the author has written some wonderful text explaining why yoga is so critical to women at all stages of life. The author practices Kundalini yoga and she shares common Kundalini names and meditations, but it is very useful for all yoginis, whatever type of yoga they practice.
I loved this book, it was very easy to use and I've taken away lots of useful hints and practices to add to my own practice. I'm planning to teach women yoga and I'll be returning to this book again soon I should think.
Excellent photos and excellent descriptions of yoga poses for all ages of a woman's life. Some of the hints and snippets included in this book are a bit "out there" but all in all this is a great reference book.
Interesting and informative. Combining kundalini and hatha yoga, the author gives a brief overview of each and then combines the two in chapters related to different times and areas of women's lives. Text and illustrations describing the poses are clear and easy to follow.
A very disappointing book if you are after women’s yoga. I was expecting to see many postures and exercises for the pelvic area, sexuality & sensuality, and vaginal health, but everything in the book is very vague, like “energise”, “brighten”, “balance”, “level out.” Many sequences could be easily done by men without any difference. I liked the breasts chapter, which was nice, and you might benefit from pre- and post-natal yoga sequences. Photos and design are very nice though. For women’s yoga I would still recommend Anodea Judith’s books (look for 2nd chakra).
Probably one of the best guides to basic yoga moves and ideals that I've come across. It's addresses a range of ideal poses for different moods as well as many different phases of life for women (pregnancy included). I also liked how the book focuses on the ideals behind yoga, and makes it easy to understand. I would certainly recommend to to people who are just starting out with some of the basic yoga principles and practices. Of course, you should always consult your physician before starting any kind of yoga or exercise program.

Haha, alright jk. It did me good. flexibility and stuff, but i still can't bring myself to do it that much of the day. Not enough time on my hands. Ha, like they say 'C'mon inner peace, i don't have all day!!!'
