Diary of a Vigilante

Rate this book
'Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves'.One man's angel is another man's devil. One man's hero is another man's killer. It's a blurred line between hero and villain, between vigilante and criminal, between decent citizen and maniac - and this is where Jack finds himself. Jack is a man haunted by the failures of a justice system he feels is broken and the seemingly arbitrary punishments measured out to those who have offended the state. When his friend's family find themselves threatened by a sexual predator and let down by the police, Jack snaps, and a journey of vigilantism, anger and revenge pursues. Told from his point of view, the Diary of a Vigilante, Jack descends further into the pits of the underworld, and the man who set out to clean the streets, finds that he becomes the top target of law enforcement. What price will Jack pay for his vengeance, and in a world of eye-for-an-eye justice, what sort of man will he be at the end? Will he become the very same monster he sought to destroy?

Vigilante Justice

Where to start? I stumbled upon this book on twitter asking for readers and to write reviews. I love vigilante books and thought I would give it a try.

I read it in one sitting and now have a headache, but it was worth it. I loved it!

Apart from some grammatical errors, it read like a journal; (with some added viewpoints of investigative officials) meaning not a lot of descriptive factors, i.e. specific age, location, age, what the main characters look like, etc. However, it is a pretty solid story and a good read. Give it a go!

Sometimes a book gets under your skin and makes you think, “What would it take for me to reach this level?” Diary of a Vigilante is one of them. It’s a gritty book they dances along the lines of morality and humanity. Follow the protagonist, Shaun, a broken man with a chip on his shoulder, as he refuses to let a system he no longer trusts, do his justice. Through the story we continue to ask ourselves what’s the difference between justice and wrath? Check out Diary if a Vigilante if you’re in to hard-nose, noir novels that’ll have you flipping pages until the end.

Really good strory

This was a great read and not what I thought it was going to be when I started.

The author has picked up on the desires of most good human beings in that they would like to see justice to those who seemingly get away with it. Not all of us would act in those thoughts but the vigilante definitely gets an "A" for creativity.

Good read and one you should take the time to get into.

An interesting story told through the eyes of Jack who embarks on a journey of taking the law into his own hands. Is Jack a hero, a villain or a madman? That's for the reader to decide, which is why I enjoyed this.
