Callie Rose is a bestselling author who loves to write books that will grab you by the feels and not let go till the very last page. She loves twisty plots, tortured bad boys, strong FMCs, and redemption stories where that shit is *earned*.
Such a wonderful emotional ending to a great trilogy. From book one I was taken on an emotional roller coaster ride. These books had their ups and downs but it all came together like a perfectly wrapped present with a shiny bow. I fell in love with These guys even more in this book and couldn't believe how they were put through what they were and still came out on top. This story gives you hope for something better and really makes you think about your life and how to overcome and become stronger in the process. Such a great storyline with some amazing and not so amazing characters. I loved it!
If you have been following my reviews, you know that I was a bit frustrated + disappointed with how the first book in this series progressed. I felt like it was a bit too similar to another series I read - but I am so glad that I decided to continue reading.
This series is a reverse harem high school bully romance, but I especially enjoyed it because it has some added themes of mystery to it.
After her arrival back in Roseland, Talia is trying to uncover who has anonymously paid her lawyer, the truth behind her mother’s death, and who her father really is.
Along with these personal struggles, Talia is still suffering the aftershocks of her car accident, maneuvering around school drama, and deciding whether or not she can truly trust the Princes.
But, as Talia and the Princes face their battles together, Talia comes to the realization that they are not up against each other; they’re finally on the same team.
As the connection between her and the boys grows, Talia knows that the line between hate and love that they are all walking on, is clearly leaning towards one side.
Callie Rose writes some pretty amazing books. I love her writing style, and her compelling storylines definitely make me want to read more of her books in the future! x
I did receive this book as a Beta read, but as usual, all opinions are my own!
Callie just continues to amaze me with each book I have the pleasure of reading. It just keeps getting better!! There are steamy scenes, tension, angst, happiness, love, forgiveness, etc! Everything you could ask for in a book.
She wrapped up Talia and her boys’ storyline so beautifully, and I am sad it’s over, but loved the ending!! I cannot wait to see what work of art Callie creates next. YOU GO GLEN COCO!
Let me be honest and tell you that I gave 4stars to the first book And I always tend to ignore bully romance 🦋
sadly I had so little expectation going into this book. 🕊It was as if I knew it was going to be a waste of time.
Everything started going spiral for me when our H who apparently was set on eye for an eye shit causally brushed away her vengeance🍒.
It felt so unfair for how much I connected to the character, suffered with her and the monsters did not even grovel, they could just present themselves naked on a banana leaf and she would take them back without any apologies ? Like her body over mind shit was annoying 👵🏾
I get it they did not have any fantastic life but seriously what they did to her somehow comes with the term the apple doesn't fall far from the tree 🍁
I cannot imagine a kissing a guy who literally ruined my life. imagine if the lawyer was never send by Mrs. M,( basically this was a book so she had to be )can you just imagine they just left her to fend for herself.
The girl who was possessed with the violent need to pay back Just got lost in their god like beauty wow☃️ ,,, why you ask because her clit seems to throb and it got her hot and bothered, yeah sounds just as ridiculous!!🍎
In this journey of vengeance I could imagine myself forgiving them but just because I seem to cherish the fun part doesn't mean the bad part never happened, it happened and I live to tell the tale.
The amount of reasoning she did for the guys bad deeds was mind blogging like she could live off as their personal lawyer. It's was always about their life being difficult and that they never had it easy. Wow tal are you the same girl who just yesterday was being harassed ni some old dude and you were swearing your life that they had to pay for that.
Just because they had it hard doesn't mean you had it easier???
So many fishes in the sea and it's always the one who bites hard gets a home.
In the end you knew that the shit they did for was also blown out of proportion and her mother did not kill Mason's mom 🙄 SHOCKING
So it's here is where I lost the connection that I once felt with Tal and once you loose that you lose the story .
🍀🦃 the most funny thing is like how could she be so okay with the thought of having 4 guys together like her conscine didn't even bother to beep for a second.
It was finalised that she would end up with them but a little guilt , shame ,,, hello ? ,,, no? ,,, only me ,,Okay ! I seriously need to stop with this reverse harem.💐
Let's not start with the side characters ,,, shall we 🌬
DNF 47% Let me start off by saying that this book isn’t bad. I just wasn’t caring about the plot anymore to continue reading it. The pacing was slower and some of the “twists” were starting to become more predictable. I basically have the rest of the book figured out in my head and I just feel like reading it from this point on will just be a waste of my time. Maybe at a different time, I will come back and finish it.
What an amazing end to an even more amazing trilogy! This book has my whole heart! I loved everything about it, the characters and relationships were spectacular, the plot was enticing, and the reveals were surprising and interesting!
I particularly enjoyed the ending these characters got. It was so wholesome and sweet. After all they’ve been through, they definitely deserved it.
The overall plot was great. I loved the reveals, and any lingering questions I had were answered.
Cute ending saved it from 1 star Idk what it is about this book that subtly ticked me off, but YIKES,
Did someone really just get EXPELLED for sleeping with a teacher?! um... Last time I checked, be it consensual or not, having sex with a MINOR is illegal.... and seeing as the author EXPLICITLY mentions Adina is a minor, seems to me like the opposite should be happening. The school should be apologising profusely to Adina and her family!!! STATUTORY RAPE PEOPLE! That shit is unacceptable!
IDK man... some things are super if-y. Like She should be thankful she was forgiven, cuz what she said was really shitty and 100% deserves to at least be apologised for... The MC seemed soooooo petty like WTF.
Overall, a lot about this book just made me feel uncomfortable and icky (not because of the Harem tho or the monogamy that has nothing to do w/ what I'm talking bout), something was off, this on hit weird... ALSO I don't understand why one guy would like the MC let alone four... lmao
I loved the concluding more than I loved the other two books. Overall, the entire series is quick and fun read. For all the fans of bullyverse, this series can definitely scratch your itch.
I couldn't believe how much better the second was, then the third. Book 1 was incredible to start off with. This pulled me in and I couldn't stay away until I finished. Now I'm left not knowing what could possibly top this! Highly highly recommend!
This was my first - and most likely last - experience with a reverse harem story.
Before I clarify the above, I have to give credit to the writer. These books were very well-written. The plot, although unlikely, wasn't terribly unrealistic and the drama and angst wasn't too OTT - even for YA. Being YA, there was also very little sex involved to get in the way of the plot, which I appreciated so much. I'm so bored with all the fuck fests out there and the utter lack of ability in creating an actual plot. Any time I read a book that doesn't rely on steam to move the story along, it's refreshing. You don't get a lot of that these days
I only sampled the first of this series - Savage Royals - out of curiosity, never intending to actually read it. Never imagining I would WANT to give it a real go. To my surprise, I found it compulsively readable and Ms. Rose was able to sustain my interest through all three books.
In addition, the external dialogue was excellent, completely natural. The internal dialogue didn't dominate the story and so there was no issue with telling rather than showing the story. The descriptions needed to lay out scenes were just right. Seriously, the story flowed so easily and you don't realise just how abysmal most of the writing is out there these days until you stumble into a book that is written with talent and skill. Ms. Rose earns the title of 'author,' rather than being merely a writer. And her character development was seriously on point. With the exception of one chapter, the entire series was narrated in the heroine's POV and reminded me why I love when a writer can actually pull it off. It's no secret that I prefer single POV, but many writers today lack the ability to add dimension to the character whose perspective isn't included. Ms. Rose not only achieved it with one hero, she did so with 4. Each of the four boys had a distinct appearance and personality and it was difficult to choose the one I liked best. Which, I understand, is the goal of a successfully executed reverse-harem scenario.
Which brings me to my rating and why I won't be embracing this trope. It's simple, really. In my mind, a love story has one heroine and one hero, not four. And even though I liked Mason, Cole, Elijah and Finn, in the end I needed Talia to choose only one of them. The HFN nicely wrapped up the story and was even kind of cute. But while that idea might do it for some, it is soooo not my thing.
I liked the story and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys this trope. I would probably read more of Ms. Rose's work because the girl's got serious skills, but I won't because she doesn't write the types of stories I prefer. So, 2.5 stars.

Book three starts with the aftermath of Talia's crash. She swears the brakes weren't working. The Princes swear to protect her. Especially from Adena, a girl at school who is determined to be on the top of the food chain at school. It was Adena who stole the notebook and released all of the information about the Princes. It is Adena who has turned the school body against the Princes. Talia is on a long road to recovery, and to be able to dance again. The journey there is a long one. But one good thing? The Princes are there. And she seems to be falling for all of them. Luckily for her, they are there when Cole's father takes her hostage, and the other fathers are determined to kill her for knowing too much.
It was nice to finally get some closure. The Princes' fathers did know her mother. And they knew why her mother suddenly fled one night- turns out they were all apart of a group back when they were younger, and created a business together. Turns out everyone but Talia's mother was stealing from the business. So they killed Adam, Talia's father, and then Talia's mother, to keep the secret safe. And they were willing to kill Talia for the same reason. Luckily, the Princes are there to save her.
I had to give this one three stars... mainly because she ends up with all 4 of them. And that is so unrealistic!!

That was fun. Don't have much to say, this had all of those typical RH bully plotlines I've read in other books that got neatly wrapped up here at the end and the 5-some is off to live their blissful, unconventional life ✨
But one thing, tell me why this poor girl has had her legs injured so many damn times in her life, that plot point got a little fucking tired lol.
I managed to read all three books in one sitting. Its all I did all day, whoops! This conclusion was shocking, a lot I didn't see coming, and the bond between Tal and her guys was amazing. Ill miss these characters, they're apart of me now. I need more!
Mason me dio bronca.
It ended way to abruptly for me to get closure from this trilogy. So much stuff happened in this book and I feel like a lot of it was never REALLY explained and ended up feeling rushed.
Book 2 was an o.k. read, would of liked more redemption/penance from the boys. After everything she went thru in book one she still was able to hold on to her strength and courage. Was glad to see Talia hold her ground and not be a push-over. While her plan for revenge left me scratching my head with uncertainty, saw that particular plot aspect unfold a mile away. (Cruel Intentions anyone??)
Thru-out book 2 you see the bullying, taunting continue (although not inflicted by the 4 main M.C.) was not surprised with the ending.
Book 3 is where we get to the nitty-gritty of why everything happened the way it happened. By this point the 4 M.C. are extremely protective of Talia and we get to see each relationship grow. ***caveat*** P.O.V.'s from the guys would of been very beneficial. I needed to/would of liked to see their own thought process.
The ending was not expected at all but did shed light on who was helping her behind the scenes and who was actually bullying her and why.
Overall did not dislike this series and would probably read more from her in the future.
A few weeks ago Callie Rose was a new to me author. I've made up for lost time since then. To date,I've found her books not only enjoyable to read but also well written. Her stories have intriguing story lines. The characters may not always start off in the ways, but she has a way of redeeming then that make you alllllmost forget how they started out. Almost lol. That's what I found with this Broken series. The prince's and the princess. Are they the good guys, or her worst nightmare? Or,some where inbetween? I can't tell you the answer to that, but I will say, the ending was NOT what I was expecting. Oh and prom...Prom night is EPIC!
I am amazed at what a great ending we got with Broken Empire. Everything came to how it needed to and the chemistry between all these kids was just amazing.
They went from love/hating in the first two book to downright making everything right between all of them and coming clean with the past and present.
I think Callie Rose did a superb job with this series and I am completely over the moon with it.
Downright an entertaining and full of angst and emotion that you don't want to miss out on!
5 Stars
**Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**
It took me a day to read all three of these book. I was so engrossed with what was going to happen to all 5 of these characters. I loved that the boys started to come again realised what they did was wrong. Yet of the 4 boys start to show more of themselves which I personally loved because hell I would love these type of 4 not yet completely different guys. A girl could dream lol. But seriously I loved the way the book ended and a couple of twists that I never saw coming. I acanthus wait to read more from this author.
Callie Rose just nails it with these reverse harem bully high school series. Book 3 is the final in the trilogy of Talia and the Princes of Oak Prep.
In the final book we finally get all the boys to give their true feelings to Talia on how they feel about her and what they had done to her in the past. Everyone’s feelings are incredibly strong and unwavering...all proving them in their own way. The ending was shocking as I did NOT see it coming at all. I was pretty sure I had it all figured out with the characters and then you’re just blindsided!!
I loved the connection between Talia and the princes and their connections with each other. I also LOVED the realness of Talia's strained relationship with her grandmother. It felt real and especially how even in the last chapter they were working on it. I appreciate an author giving me a real dilemma that gets solved real world slow, not instant forgiveness. Read this series, you'll love it too
Reviewing this series as a whole. Spoilers may be present. But for the sake of honesty. I will tell you that I only read this series and the one I won’t mention by another author because of the rumors and bullying surrounding them. This book was pulled from shelves because another author accused this one of plagerism. It blew up on fb in groups I’m a part of. And really it pissed me off. Both series are RH Bully High school Hierarchy Academy Romances. All of these are tropes. No one owns them and they aren’t unique in any way. These book came out close to one another and because of the 6 tropes listed above they are similar. But the MCs have different histories and personalities. So do all the boys. There is little to no similarities in the bullying and events that play out in the book. Can I add big bad mean girl to the list of tropes cause that is present in both but again not a unique idea in any way. But this author pulled her book because she was being BULLIED and harassed through social media. I am a firm believer in innocent till proven guilty and I stand by it. Until I have proof that will stand up in the court of law what happened was wrong and cruel.
I liked this series. so much more than the other series it’s now I tied to and I’m saddened that many people won’t be able to read it.
Broken Empire by Callie Rose is a reverse harem high school bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Kasi Hollowell. This is the third and final book in the Boys of Oak Park Prep trilogy.
The book does come with a caution “It contains cursing and sexual situations, and is intended for listeners 18 and up.”
I absolutely love Callie’s books! She did an amazing job wrapping up the series. I loved the chemistry between Tallia, Elijah, Finn, Mason, and Cole. They all bring something different to the relationship that just makes it work. Their story took me on an emotional roller coaster but I couldn’t help but root for them.
Kasi did an amazing job on the narration. She really brought the story to life.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Reverse Harems, Enemies To Lovers, and High School Bully Romances.
"There was a kind of freedom, an anonymity, in having almost no one in the world care about you. But there was also a desperate sort of loneliness, a feeling like being a corporeal ghost."
Stretched and Underwhelming. Those are the exact two words that can describe this book. This series would have been much much better if some parts were edited and it'd be converted into a duet. Because this book feels entirely unnecessary. Anything remotely interesting happens in the last 10% of the book and I don't think it's worth it to read an entire fucking book for one moment😑
This was my first NON-Paranormal Reverse Harem, and I LOVED IT!! Talia and the Four Princes: Elijah, Finn, Mason, & Cole kept me ENTHRALLED!! I want more!! I am so glad Callie has a short story to click at the end!! If you want dark, twisted, emotional, heated tension, secrets, mystery, danger, STEAM, and to feel Love & Hate -- READ THIS SERIES🖤🖤 Thank you Audiobookobsession and the fantastic narrator!! Kasi does an amazing job with all the guy and girl voices!!!
I find it weird the group never once talked about their relationship. Never discussed the whole sharing a girlfriend-have feelings for multiple people aspect. That's usually my favorite part of these stories.
The conclusion to Talia, Mason, Elijah, Finn, and Cole's story was crazy. Lots of stuff flying at them, but they managed like champs. I love their chemistry and seriously... I want 4 boyfriends! (Ok, not really... but slightly in awe.)
