Honesty. A hidden treasure.

This book explains the importance of being honest.
I like the fact that this young girl learned a new word CONSEQUENCES.
Yes we must teach our children that actions have consequences.
However, its great to help our children understand that telling the truth is great, especially when the children tell on themselves than parents find out the truth another way.
Personally our children learned that their punishment was less severe when they told the truth. This was an incentive for them to feel comfortable telling the truth.
As parents we have to make sure that children understand that their actions do not define a parent's love.
I highly recommend this book.

This series of books are a great one to have for your child's self worth. It shows them in words and pictures how to be a better them and how to get along with others.
Ayzlin is thinking that the Best me I can be should always try to be honest. (Telling the truth and doing what I know is right and not doing what I know is wrong.). I fell into mommies favorite flowers and broke them bad. She will be mad at me. I can tell mom Rosco, dog, did it. I could tell her that I tried to tell him no, but he did it any way. Then she would be mad at him and He would be in big trouble.
Would that be honest? Would she feel good if she did that? I wonder what she did, how about you? You know what my answer will be! Listen/read is the Best way to find out if she lied about Rosco or tells the truth about herself.
