All I Want Is A Kiss

Rate this book
From USA Today bestselling author Willow Winters

I always smile when he kisses me.
It never falters.
The electric tingle races through me, from head to toe.
Until he breaks the kiss, leaving me breathless and wanting more.

I thought fleeting weekends would be enough and it always was… until the distance threatened to tear us apart for good.

This kiss may be the last kiss and every part of me hates that.

For the first time since we started this, I’m all too aware that this may be the last time.
No matter how much I want to lie to myself.

How did we get this lost?
More importantly, how can I have one more kiss?.

Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.

In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

3.5 sweet and sensual stars

This was a quick read with a lot of heart and heat 🔥.

Olivia and Nick have been together/not together for two years now, as in, they’re casual/not official. Their rendezvous consists of hotel stays once or twice a month and the knowledge that even though they’re not together officially, they’re not with anyone else either 😅 (so no OP to worry about 👏🏻)

But Nick has been offered a job… which means he won’t be able to do this anymore…

And all Olivia wants is a kiss (peep the title).

This was short and smuuuuty🔥, but also sensual 😉.

I felt all the tingles and heat, but also the deeply embedded connection they have ❤️

I wish it was longer 😭, but I knew that going in ❤️

I enjoyed it 🥰.

I knew what to expect when I picked up this 50 page story. So I wasn't anticipating anything with great depth for either the characters or the story itself.

Having said that, I was pleasantly surprised. Nick and Olivia's attraction and feelings were very evident and I found myself getting a bit invested and rooting for their HEA. And, when I was halfway through the book I found myself wishing their story actually continued in a full length novel as I wanted to spend more time with them. However, this is it for them and their story ends with a nice little HFN.

The middle of the road rating isn't because I had issues with this story. There's only so much an author can do within 50 pages. So, although well written and for me, engaging, a 3 star is the best I can give.

A short, sweet, steamy read

This is a steamy, romantic little read. The chemistry between the two characters is very well done! The author has packed a lot of emotion into this short story, and I definitely got a little teary at the end (happy tears!). Definitely enjoyable! A few small grammatical issues, but nothing too distracting.

DNF @ 65%

I picked this book because a long time ago I read Possessive by this author and I didn't enjoy it so I decided it was time to give Willow Winters another chance but, as it seems, her books aren't for me. Of course, that doesn't mean that somebody else can't enjoy them, it's just my personal preference.

Well, at least I tried but I couldn't get into the story or connect with the characters at all. I just didn't care what's going to happen. I know it's a novella and that it wouldn't get me much time to finish it but I couldn't do it so I gave up.

All I Want Is A Kiss is a short holiday romance about going for the one you love. To hell with the consequences and that is exactly the kind of stories I like.

Olivia and Nick have been having one night stands for a while now with none of them seeking another partner unaware of what they call comfort level others call love. They have been crazy about each other since the moment they met and have been hiding their true feelings under the blanket of 'It's Just Physical.' But when push comes to shove and they have to bring their relation to an end is when true feeling emerge and take over.

The chemistry as all WW books was steamy and the story was adorable. Here's to reading some more from WW.

I blinked and this book was over. I’m all for short stories but this one left me needing more plot, more character development.. just more.

I’m going to be honest and say I expected more from All I Want is a Kiss. I have read and enjoyed other Willow Winters books and mostly enjoyed them, and I expected the same to be true here.

Although I was tempted to give this one a three-star rating, I found I was missing too many details to fall completely in love with it. On the surface, it was a sweet little read. When I stopped to think about it, I realised there wasn’t quite enough to make this one memorable.

I’m sure many will love this one, but it failed to wow me.

2.5 Star's

It was a very CUTE and SHORT read, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. This short story is only like 30 pages long, so the character and romantic development is nonexisting. There is only so much you can do in 30 pages, I get it, however, if this was a normal book, I feel like the story would have been ADORABLE. From what I saw, Nick would have been a fantastic character, if we got to know him. What really drew me into this short story was the cover, I mean look at it.... is it not so PRETTY. If you're looking for a short read, I would recommend picking this up, you can knock it out in like 30 minutes!

Olivia and Nick always see each other when they're on conferences and even though they haven't declare if they're dating or not they don't want to be with anyone but themselves until Nick decides to move with Olivia in her house so they can be officially together.

This was actually pretty sweet and managed to grab my attention even though it was really short. Also the writing is really pretty. I don't think I've ever read anything by Willow Winters but I'll definitely consider reading more in the future!

Sweet, Sexy & Swoony Short Story

Starting my New Year off with this Sweet, Sexy and Swoony short story from Willow Winters. Olivia and Nick have a friends with benefits arrangement but could this meeting be their last?

“It’s never goodbye. Only until next time.”

Willow packs so much emotions into her writing as always, both Olivia and Nick’s characters can be felt and everything around them can be visualised from these chapters.

“All I want tonight is a kiss. Is that too much for a girl to ask?”

What a beautiful and sexy yet romantic short story.

This is a quick short and steamy standalone romance with a festive feel from Willow Winters. It was originally part of the Holiday ever after collection. A story of two people that have fallen in love yet drifted about, but whenever they are around one another the chemistry ignites.

When they both move back to the same city and meet at a gathering for the holidays with their friends and family, the connection is clear. Despite this being a short read Willow can still add a great quickie into the mix, with a sweet happily ever after to finish it all off.

All she wants is a Kiss 💋

This is a short story by Willow and as usual it’s a winner. Olivia goes to a conference with her best friend because of the business they run together. But when Olivia arrives, she immediately looks for Nick who said he’d meet her at the hotel bar🍻

A short, sweet romance story of friend with benefits to lovers❤️

“You asked me what I want for Christmas.”
“A kiss. You said all you wanted was a kiss.”

Way too short but sugar sweet story. You can't help but get dragged in and feel the anxiety from both Nick & Olivia.
Awesome Christmas story that could not have had another ending.

Until now, I thought the worst of all was the miscommunication trope. But no, there's something worse: “We've been sleeping together for several years, but we can't even talk.”
Happy ending or not, this was really bad. 3/10.

SO MUCH MORE THAN A SHORT HOLIDAY ROMANCE -- IT WRAPPED AROUND MY HEART AND SOUL

I think I’m still clutching my heart because this is some serious swoon material. The short, but incredibly sexy and romantic, snippet of a novella gave me more than all the feels.
What a pleasantly surprising love bite it was, and I wanted more of this delicious, mesmerizing couple. I kept wondering why I’d been on hiatus from this author while catching up on so many other less satisfying stories, to the point of completely forgetting how intense and compelling her stories are.

For two years, Nick and Olivia have had a good thing going – meeting up at business conferences every month for mind-blowing hotel sex. They’re exclusive, but never discuss their arrangement. It’s perfect. After all, they live far apart and this is as good as it’s gonna get. No complaints from Olivia, until Nick drops a bombshell on their latest hookup that could end everything. Both play their cards and feelings close to the vest, so when Nick asks Olivia what she wants for Christmas, she lies and says just a kiss. Goodbye has never been so devastating…

I actually felt like a fly on the wall witnessing a real, intensely consuming relationship that was crazy romantic and so genuine. The power of their mutual attraction and emotions was overwhelming. Just the right touch of palpable chemistry, hot sex, and such a deep yearning that gave me goosebumps and a lump in my throat. I don’t think I’ve ever quite felt a couple like this before – such longing, soul connection, and gripping honesty to their inner thoughts. It was perfectly beautiful, and other than mixing up “bare” for “bear” and substituting pointer for index finger (a pet peeve of mine), I couldn’t find a thing wrong with one of the best and moving love stories I’ve read at only 39 pages. Note: It's not a "Christmas" story, but takes place at Christmas.

Two years of meeting in hotels at conferences and on the weekends for those stimulating sexual romps may be ending.

Nick was about to stir up Olivia’s workaholic lifestyle. She is a bit of a person with OCD, everything a certain way, in its place, and no surprises. So, when Nick is not at the hotel doors to greet her she has an awful feeling.

Then, when he does arrive and sends a text saying he’ll meet her at the bar again she is kept waiting for a little over fifteen minutes. Really sending her red flags up. What is happening she has no clue.

Nick needs to talk to her about some big changes yet knows that his night could possibly be their last. He hates seeing her sadness but the changes are a given.

I enjoyed this short. In just a few amounts of pages, she was able to allow us to see that this couple had become friends, lovers, and so much more. That the thought of hurting the other mattered.

A short and sweet holiday romance with a splash of angst! I may be late in reading this but honestly, this book was written in a way that didn't feel too holiday-inspired, which I loved. Nick and Olivia were beautiful together and I felt that the ending was perfect!
