A story of one man's struggle to rethink his vision of the perfect family, true friendship, and what home really means. When Ethan's wife walks out in search of something more, his first priority is to protect his three kids from further heartache. He should have been a better husband. Now it's time to be a better dad. Ethan grew up in a loving, supporting family, and his kids deserve the same. Besides, he doesn't have to go it alone. Rex, Ethan's best friend, is more than willing to step in and help keep chaos at bay. Ethan thinks he's doing a decent job juggling the responsibilities of a business owner, landlord, and recommitted father. Can he also squeeze in a little romance? He hadn't intended to start dating again...though an unlikely friend seems interested, and Ethan can't help but feel intrigued. But a devastating fire changes everything. Lives and livelihoods are at risk. Suspicions and doubts threaten to undermine all that Ethan holds dear. Will he be forced to acknowledge that sometimes those closest to us succumb to their inner demons when they suffer unthinkable loss? When trust is shattered, can old friendships guide us home again? Rebuilding Home, the third book in Kimberly Diede's heartwarming Celia's Gifts series, follows Ethan's emotional journey from fractured illusions, through tangled paths of hope and despair, to the renewed possibility of happiness. What started with Whispering Pines continues. Get swept up once again in the ongoing story of how one woman's family continues to honor her legacy by seizing opportunities to reinvent lives.

As a life-long reader, she loves to get lost in the pages of a great book and strives to give you the same experience.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Book three in the Whispering Pines series. This book is centered around Ethan & his family. A fire occurs in one of his rental properties, and blame is placed on someone who Ethan is very close to. Since this is book three, I enjoyed continuing to read about all of the family connections, and how all of the characters are growing up within each book. #booksbyashleynicole
The next story is about Ethan acquiring Cecilia’s home after her death….and her rental properties. A fire ensues, a troubled divorce, new relationships, raising kids as a single dad and the highs and lows of friendship. I love these books about family!
I so enjoyed this one: it was un-put-downable! It was good to meet up with the people I got to know in the previous books, although I could have read it as a standalone. But it was the events that kept me turning the pages: sad stuff, worrying stuff, heart-warming stuff – I found myself caring, which was fantastic because there’s nothing like a book that compels you to read through to the end. The opening was a bit slow for my liking, but it was so worth moving past that, and I’m very glad I did. Certainly still worth 5 stars. I’m now trusting that the next one in the series will be coming out soon! Thanks for a great read.
Newly divorced Ethan Richter is just trying to keep his head above water. Jugging three kids, a construction business and managing the properties his Aunt Celia left him leaves no time for romance. But when tragedy strikes and brings his college crush back into his life, it has Ethan reconsidering. “Rebuilding Home” serves up all the things we’ve come to expect from Diede’s writing: an emphasis on family, helping others and a sweet romance. Contemporary romance readers are going love the latest installment in the Celia’s Gift Series.
I love the Whispering Pines/Celia’s Gifts series and Rebuilding Home did not disappoint! This book has just the right amount of romance and mystery to keep me interested! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes heartwarming stories with dynamic characters!
I love the words and creativity that are placed in these books. I feel like I am right in the story every time. The different “gifts” are amazing and the way they play into the story line!! I recommend these wonderful stories to anyone and they make perfect “gifts” for a friend. Can’t wait until the next one comes out!
I absolutely enjoyed getting to know this family! I love how each book was dedicated to a different sibling. Discovering each individual’s thoughts on Celia and her gifts were eye opening. Ethan seems to always be there to help his sisters. It was good to learn that there is more to this man than meets the eye!
