TORI

I’ve been living on borrowed time since I was born.
My dreams were big. But my reality cut them down to size.
The life I’ve settled for is small.
Safe.
Stifling.
Until I meet him.

He’s my forbidden fruit. My guilty pleasure. My greatest danger.
He has me dreaming of a life I never thought I could have.
He teaches me to hope. To want. To crave.

If I’m not careful, Dante D’Agostino will have me dreaming of happily ever afters.
And that’s the most dangerous dream of all.

DANTE

I don’t believe in miracles.
Fairy tales are for chumps.
In my world, only the strong survive, and love is a weakness.

Then I meet her.
She’s no princess in a tower.
She’s a fighter. A warrior.
She’s the strongest woman I know.

Before I knew it, she set my life ablaze.
Then, before I could stop her, she melted my iron heart.

This sure as f*ck ain’t no fairy tale. I don’t know what the f*ck it is.

This Lois Lane doesn’t need a superman. She doesn’t want a protector.
But protect her I will. With my life if I have to.
Tori Lowe has changed my life forever.
And I’m never going back.

USA Today bestselling author of alpha males, feisty females, and smoking hot romance.

Small town girl in the big city. Incurable romantic. Hopeless optimist in a realist's body.

A sucker for a bad boy with a soft center.

Iron Heart was the second book in the Ironwood Lords of Carnage MC series by Daphne Loveling.

Dante D’Agostino was the Enforcer for the Lords of Carnage Ironwood MC. He was gorgeous, rugged and gruff. Not one to be messed with.

Tory Lowe was a reporter for the local Ironwood newspaper. She had aspirations as a journalist that covered all of the difficult stories across the world, but something in her past shattered her dreams. Now she was stuck covering fluffy stories that to her, weren’t newsworthy.

Loveling took us through the initial meeting as well as the subsequent crossing of paths. Although sparks ignited, it was a slow build. It was told from a dual POV, but I got more depth from Tory’s side. There were some key incidents that I really wanted Dante’s view to fill in the gaps, especially with the MC conflict, but I was left with craving more. Otherwise, it was a suspenseful and steamy plot with some serious moments.

In the end, it wasn’t my favorite of Darling’s stories, but it was entertaining none the less, and I can’t wait to see who’s next.

Another great book by Daphne Loveling!! Love her MC romance books.
Tori is a journalist who works for a small town newspaper. She always wanted to be the one who traveled and wrote world news for big newspapers but while in college she found out she has a bad heart so there goes her dreams. No man who has found out about her heart has stuck around making her feel defective.
Dante is the enforcer for the MC and not interested in women outside the club and definitely not interested in a relationship.
They meet while she is doing an article about his neighbors
Can a woman with a bad heart thaw the heart of a biker who has wrapped his heart in Iron?
Think book is for mature adults only
Highly recommend this book

It's review time 🎧
Warning ⚠️ : I have got this book as an audio Arc therefore I got the special short story Dirty Santa as well
2 stories. Mc gang, heart disease in book one.

Narrator score🎧 ; i love those two narrator's very much, they rock. I loved the voices as always.

Level of steam🔥: in the first story, you do have sex, but not too much. Something I learned about this author is that she writes stories for 5hr stories and not for the sex in it.

Level of anxiety and sadness0😱😢: you have some very heart breaking moments in book one. I cried a bit but overall it's not too harsh.

The book itself📖:
the first story: it was a good and solid story, with an illness involved. The author made us feel the condition but not too harshly. And it was great.
*The bonus story was so cute, with a child and without drama in it. It was adorable

"Your heart is made of iron. You just might not know it yet."

Holy Dante and Tori, what a beautiful love story!

An unexpected encounter leads to a beautiful love story between two very different people. There are some twists and turns with MC drama of course but it flows nicely with book 1 as far as the storyline is concerned. I like how this author makes her characters very relatable to the readers. It's like you could feel the love between the two just reading a few sentences. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the Lord's of Carnage books. Daphne Loveling knows how to write an outstanding book to say the least.

I am a huge fan of superbly crafted MC romance and Ms. Loveling and her latest installment to The Lords of Carnage MC is quite the book! Whew. This is an unbelievably crafted publication that is sure to steal your breath with the impeccable storyline inside. Dante, is the Enforcer for The Lords of Carnage MC, as well as the most gorgeous man, on two wheels, that this small towns reporter, Tori, has ever seen. I try very hard never to give away any part of the plot so that I do not ruin it for reader's, that being said... here it goes.

While conducting an interview, that her boss has sent her on, Tori sees Dante for the first time. She captivated him at first sight, and together, Dante and Tori, go on one hell of a ride, proving that opposites definitely do attract. This release has so much substance and creativity, I liitterally sat devouring it in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down. I encourage all MC fans to read this book ASAP, as Ms. Loveling will never let you down and you'll be a devoted follower, just as I am.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Iron Heart in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion. Truly, should you be a fan of MC romance, then rest assured, this is a must read. I am now impatiently awaiting the next release/installment for this incredible Brotherhood.

Absolutely One Amazing Book.

ARC Reviewer - This was one of my favorite books that the author has written. It was about Dante, Enforcer of Ironwood Lords of Carnage MC and club, his younger brother Dominic and a journalist Tori who works for Ironwood Post Gazette. Tori first meets Dante while covering a story at his next door neighbor's, then she needs an electrician in home and Dante turns out to be that electrician. They end up being attracted to each other. Dominic comes to stay with his brother Dante, but doesn't give him the whole story why he's there. He ends up getting hired by the MC Club for transport and in the end he betrays the club, Tori gets caught up in it due to her driving too far for a story and seeing Dante's brother meeting with some guys in black sedans, they end up kidnapping Tori. Dominic did help his brother locate him and Tori by leaving the burner phone with GPS on it to track his regular phone. In the end Tori is saved, Dominic does not survive the fallout between the cartel and Lord's. This book made you feel all your emotions, happiness, sadness, anticipation, etc. Loved this book and it's storyline and I will read it a 2nd time, it's worth it to purchase and read it, it was hard to put down.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "IRON HEART" WOW!!! This started slow for me at first but it was all the background then it turned into a rollercoaster ride buckle up this is one amazing read.
This storyline has so much happening it's full of intense drama, suspense, intrigue, action, secrets, lies, betrayal, angst, hot steamy sex scenes and a few twist that keep you glued to this story into finished.
The chemistry between Dante the enforcer of Lords of Carnage and Tori a reporter for the Ironwood Post Gazette was off the charts scorching hot but they had so many ups and downs one was she gas a heart condition.
This was an excellent book you don't want to miss so well written with terrific interesting, captivating well developed characters so well worth the read.

Iron Heart is book two in the Ironwood MC series written by the amazing author Daphne Loveling and an awesome spin-off of Lords of Carnage MC series. This is about of Dante D’Agostino, electrician in the small town of Ironwood plus he's the sexy Enforcer of the Ironwood Lords of Carnage MC, his brother Dominic 'Dom' D’Agostino & Victoria “Tori” Lowe, a smart-mouthed reporter for the town Ironwood Post Gazette. This book has everything you want in an MC romance; hot bikers, strong and sassy women, amazing characters, danger, suspense, MC drama, passion, romance and a happy end. This was a great addition to an already great new series. I loved Tori and Dante, their chemistry and banter are intense!!!! Daphne Loveling does it again, can't wait to read the stories of other members from the Ironwood MC chapter.

The Lords of Carnage MC is my favorite MC Series and that alone speaks volume seeing how I try to read every MC book out there, but the others just don't compare to Ms. Daphne ingenious way of writing. Dante and Tori's chemistry started as a slow flame going back to when they were young and just kept building each time they were together until it exploded all l over the pages. Their story will delivered to you a gut wrenching tightness throughout the book never knowing what you'll discover on the next page, but in the back of my mind I knew it had to be Kismet. I received a advance copy of this book for my honest opinion.

Wow, just wow!!

Five massive stars for Iron Heart! Honest to God, if I could give more, I would!! This story swept me away, Tori, despite what she sees as a weakness, is one of the strongest people I know. This woman stole my heart! Dante.......Lord this man! He is the enforcer for Ironwood Lords of Carnage and as such doesn't want his life to touch that of a 'civilian' but when he meets Tori, will that change?
I could not put this down, I was fully invested in their lives and I needed to see how this was going to pan out. Not going to lie, there were tears and my heart was in my mouth on more than one occasion, but what a story!!

Dante and Tori share a slow simmering, intense, powerful, sizzling passion. Their romance is filled with deep emotions, drama, action and suspense. These two share an angst ridden road to a HEA that is complicated by secrets, betrayal and lies. I loved these two and thought that they were blistering hot but also incredible sweet together. I found the story very entertaining. It held my attention and kept me eager to keep reading right until the very end. Wickedly wonderful and delightfully delicious. All thoughts and opinions in this review are entirely my own and freely given.

Daphne Loveling is absolutely, hands down, one of the best storytellers in the business! She can write a book that catches your attention right away and keep you on the edge of your seat throughout and Iron Heart is one of those amazing books! Dante and Tori are an amazing couple with so much chemistry that you can't help but be drawn to them. This book has Ms. Loveling's signature style...exciting, super sexy with some humor thrown in for good measure. Loved the book and can't wait to see what Ms. Loveling comes up with next...know it will be fabulous!

I loved the latest from Daphne Loveling and her Lords of Carnage MC world! Tori has lived her life playing it safe and cautious feeling like she is on borrowed time, but all that changes when she has a chance encounter with the enigma that is Dante. Dante is the opposite of everything that is Tori, he's part of an MC, lives life in the fast lane and the last thing he thinks he wants is a woman at his side. Yet that one meeting changes everything more than they realize. I loved going on the ride that was Tori and Dante's story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book.

I really struggled to believe Dante and Tori's relationship. I don't if it was the pace at the relationship progressed or if I didn't like the two together. Maybe the latter, because I don't like Tori that much. She kept saying she wouldn't let her condition define her, but she did that daily. Constantly being on the defensive and not being happy and grateful for what she has kept her from truly living. D and T didn't give me the feels I got from the other couples in the previous books. Oh well, maybe next time..

Omg. It gets better and better. Each book in the series are stand alone, but I do recommend reading from the beginning. Dante and Tori’s book is beautifully written. You feel all the emotions throughout the book. Absolutely fall in love with them as a couple. Fast pace and full of entertainment. On opposite sides of the law they find their happy ever ending.

Eh

I was surprised at the number of typos. I haven't seen this many since her early books. This book was a bit predictable. Then there was the ending. It just didn't flow, very choppy as if the author was in a hurry to get the book finished (which would also explain all the errors/typos).

Just ok

I wanted to like this more. I didn't really feel the love connection between Dante and Tori. Most of the book they weren't even together. They met once, then he is the electrician who fixed her house and they hook up....some things happen and he tells her that he won't be around anymore. Like I said, most of the book they aren't together.

Well I made it through...

I really debated back and forth between a 3 star rating or a 4. Ultimately I gave it a 4 (duh) because it was really well written and, it was the first one by this author I was able to finish. That being said I feel like there were really some gaping holes in this book. The H/h had all of 3 interactions that we were privy to and then they’re suddenly in love. I know sometimes you have to make allowances for the time we didn’t see, but the author even put in her writing that they didn’t see much of each other. Beyond that the writing made it seem like more time had passed than what was stated so it was a bit confusing/annoying. The majority of the book the couple was not even together, which I can’t stand. I don’t mind SOME time apart but how can you NOT be together the whole time and then be madly wildly in love. Insta love I get, but this book was not that. All in all, I’m not rushing to read another book in this series...
