THIS IS A DAILY DEVOTIONAL Where do we get food to nourish our souls? Gods living word, the Holy Bible is ourdaily bread. If we want to be spiritually healthy, we should read and soak up his words. They areHis living words and also provide us protection. As we read and put on His whole armorbefore heading out each day--we armor up, helping to keep us spiritually prepared forwhatever the day holds.Has God ever put something on your heart, something that you know you should bedoing? For me, although I'm finished with this devotional, this is the beginning of my newlife's journey of letting his words in verses and text from the bible pour into my spirit. Thereis really something to the power found within his words. I have experienced a new peace inmy life, so thankful am I for this journey. Spending time with the Lord and reading throughverses and writing each day has made a difference in my life and I can say, I'm better for it.I hope whoever you are, if this finds its way to you, it will help create in you a thirst forour Father, our Savior, our Lord, Jesus Christ. And I pray whenever he speaks, whatever hespeaks to your heart that you would be able to hear his words with clarity and walk on hispaths of truth for your life. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord.

Fantastic daily devotional!! Some of the things I really enjoyed about this beautiful book, were that the scriptures referenced were actually printed in the book! Also, it is written from the point of view of Jesus talking to you about a different scripture, every day. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the Lord, reflecting on scripture with the help of this daily devotional. What a great way to focus on Jesus and his love! I highly reccomend it to anyone seeking comfort or encouragement or anyone simply wanting to learn more about Gods eternal love for us.
In the interest of full disclosure, I have not read the full book. That being said, I am so impressed with Ms. Yarber's writing and insights. I haven't finished the book and likely won't until this time next year. I know it says I have finished reading and I said I have not. I don't like to lie, but the only way I can tell you of my opinions of this book means me stretching the truth a bit. She uses a widely used style for devotional material. Ms. Yarber's tells a bit of a story, expands on it, calls on Scripture, then she writes a short prayer. Understand this as well, while her devotional style has some mileage on it, her ways of telling the story are very fresh. My only complaint with the book, and I confess that 1, I am picking at straws trying to find something and 2, I likely would have done the same thing. She did not have a devotional in the book for February 29. Had this not been a leap year, I likely wouldn't have noticed. Still, until February 29, 2024, you don't have to worry about it. Get the book and use it!
