As Trey investigates the mysterious additive in the Outsiders' food supply, his sinister boss closes in. Acting on his suspicions could risk his incarceration and his family's safety. But can he turn a blind eye to the truth?

An absolutely thrilling conclusion to an epic series!

This series was literally jam-packed with action from start to finish. Honestly, I would perhaps go far as to say that it has more gripping action and drama than The Hunger Games. The main character is not involved in a love triangle, but she is an absolutely badass rebel, which, honestly, I would take over the stereotypical love triangle any day.

(Though this series is not *completely* love triangle free... more on that later!)

I’ll be honest in that sometimes with book series’, I’m not a huge fan of them because I find the quality to be sometimes lacking or varying greatly when you go book to book. But I did not find that to be the case with this series at *all.* I’m not what you would call a “diehard” dystopian fan — I like a lot of dystopians, but it’s not my most favorite series ever — but this particular series is excellent, and TRULY what you would call a hidden gem. It deserves all of the love.

As with every other book in the series, this final installment is told in alternating POVs between two main characters, Trey and Aleesha. I think I’ve found that, with this series, my POV preference varies depending on the book and the particular things you find out about the characters in that particular book, and I think with this one I was especially loving Aleesha’s POV.

Which brings me to the trope I had mentioned above — the love triangle!

A love triangle of sorts between three important-but-not-MC characters is hinted at in earlier books, but really delves deep in this final read. And, while I’m not a huge love triangle fan in general, I find it really interesting how this love triangle played out. I think the series — but this last book in particular — really put a unique spin on things, and actually breathed some fresh air into the trope. I won’t say much more on the triangle or the characters than that, but... I will say this.

The love triangle actually led to one of the most thrilling climaxes I have ever read in dystopians, and Young Adult in general. ESPECIALLY so considering this was the last book in the series.

I am not a huge love triangle fan, but this book/series is an instance of a love triangle playing out really, really well.

Honestly, I’m kind of sad it’s over.

Overall, I can say with confidence that any fan of the dystopian genre would absolutely adore this series. I HIGHLY recommend fellow readers check it out, and give this little hidden indie gem some love! Truly, truly an action-packed page turner.

An amazing story, full of action. Aleesa is captured and slated for execution. Will she be saved or are other things more important like your country. Loved it.

After reading this book, I wanted to write and post this review to share my honest experiences toward the story.

If I had to describe how I felt about this book in one word, I simply would not know where to start. I had nothing but positive and great experiences reading this, and to be honest, I found it difficult to get into any other books after this. Thrills, suspense, so much action, twists and turns, along with an incredible dystopian setting, amazingly well built, diverse characters as well as a beautifully written engaging storyline, this is one book you definitely will not be able to put it down. And it was not just this book in particular, all the books in this series were amazing and truly a pleasure to read. After finishing this series, I can say with confidence that Ms Ingleby has a real talent for writing compelling and engaging stories, and I look forward to exploring some of her other works in the future. Definitely a must read for anyone who loves dystopian books or is looking for a unique well written read.

I have read the first 3 books in the Wall Series and was really looking forward to reading this last installment.

The story picks up in the same format as the first 3 books. A chapter based on Alesha's path and then on Trey's path. The format works well as they both have such different backgrouds. They first met as very young teenagers and now they are both older in time but also in experience with the various horrors of a London with not enough food and people divided by a leathal wall.

The fight for justice or power and who is good and bad or who is corrupted by power continues and various battles and twists occur. I am not going to give anything away but I will say the end was NOT what I envisaged and was a total surprise. I hasten to add a very welcome surprise.

I am glad I have read this series and it raised quite a few questions about society in an urban situation in a dystopian world.

I was honoured to be a beta reader for this book. It's a worthy finale to Trey and Aleesha's saga where the odds just keep stacking up against them.

There's action, adversity, tears, betrayals, clashes you couldn't predict as well as those you could, and just a little bit of romance. Big all-out battles combine with the smaller, more personal ones. Seeing those characters you've grown to know and love (or hate) come into their own and find their answers at last is so satisfying... Even if it can be pretty brutal emotionally at times. It's very much YA in the same vein as Hunger Games, so while characters aren't all ocean deep, they've developed to the point where you really root for them. And even this late in the game, they're more than capable of surprising you. Not everyone's as they seem, nor is everything black and white.

Simply put, it's the ending the series deserves.

A satisfactory final chapter in a riveting and compelling series, not an entirely HEA ending, not everyone survives, but this isn't a fairy tale! I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a well told story with compelling characters in a well designed dystopia. There are more than a few twists and turns, and surprises but they all seem reasonable after the fact. There is a real sense of the characters growth and development as they deal with the challenges that present themselves. It was well worth the wait!

An epic conclusion to the Wall series!

I was expecting a lot from the final book in The Wall series and gosh did it deliver! Just when you think you've got it all worked out, it changes again. Brutal, bloody and brilliantly fast paced. Make sure you've got a few hours spare because you won't be going anywhere whilst you read this one! I'm sad to have finished the series and can't wait to see what this talented author writes next!

What a brilliant read and a fitting end to an exciting dystopian series. I have been eagerly awaiting for this to be released and I was not disappointed.

I won’t give any spoilers away. I finally got the answers for the questions that I had from the previous books. Some really sad parts too.

The length of time I took to read this book is not a reflection on the quality of it. I have read this during the Covid-19 pandemic which has affected my reading mojo.

Seamless

There are a lot of hard emotions tied up in this last book of the series and the author handles them seamlessly. I loved this series and devoured it as quickly as I could! I highly recommend The Wall series to fans of dystopian future and young adult. I’ll be keeping my eye open for any of her future books!

Alison Ingleby is a terrific writer. The words paint pictures in your mind and the characters are very fleshed out so that you become involved in each of their lives. Liberators is about the rich inside the Wall and the Outsiders outside the Wall.

Series final book. Aleesha, Trey, insiders and outsiders finally finish their battle to fight for what is right while wading through the lies, difficulties, hatred, and love that is life. Aleesha is captured while trying to save Trey or so she thinks. Then there is even more lies and trials exposed while the Chain, Outsiders, Brotherhood and more fight to make London a better place. Just as in life, rose colored glasses, biases, and other covers keep the truth from our group until it is almost too late. Will Aleesha and Trey find a way to free everyone they care about while keeping true to themselves? This book is an awesome ending to a great series. Can't say too much more because I don't want to give anything away. The descriptions, dialogue, characters, and relationships are engaging and superbly written.
I read this as a beta reader so received a free copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest review of the book.
