Tizun #1

Falling for the Alien Prince

Rate this book
Talk about being cast back into the dark ages where women are assigned protectors! Everything we fought for—destroyed with the arrival of the Andores. And then Colonel Petroff, alien liaison, informs me that I am to marry Jyan, the Andore leader.

Over my dead body!

I will kill him first or die trying.

But then I meet Murda, leader of the Tizuns and enemy of the Andores. His appearance alone makes everyone quiver with fear - everyone but me.

Not only do I welcome his company, I crave it.

When he learns of my upcoming arranged marriage, he offers me a way out.

Should I take his offer and face the consequences? As the only woman living in Tizun Territory, can Murda and I find our happily-ever-after?

I'm gonna say 2.5 stars rounded up, but only because I liked the MCs.
The world building had potential but ends up just being a tiny world that feels no bigger than a square mile. It's also hampered by being so predictable.
I liked the idea of MCs that don't find each other attractive at first but still manage to fall in love. There was a decent effort to make the aliens actually 'alien'.
The action towards the end was kinda cliche and unbelievable. (A lot of coincidences in this one).
So overall it was OK fluffy fun.

Was ok. Kept me entertained. Not the best thing I’ve read but I can appreciate that it kept my interest.

Oh and I’m a sucker for the whole human finds the alien ugly, the alien finds the human ugly and they express it with ease and jokes thing.

Will I read the follow up? Yes, I think so.

I liked the world building, and the h...but some of the stuff the H said made me a bit...hmm..

description

like when he said:

Did she know that she was inviting me to do just that? Any female who dressed as Millicent did was inviting a male to her bed, to thrust deep inside while dominating her.

I know he's a dominant alien or whatever, but i dont like the idea that he's saying clothing choice is an invitation. no, an invitation is an invitation. And...

“If you touch me, I cannot control myself, and I fight the urge to teach you your place.”

The story isn't bad, but there are a enough similarities to Grace Draven's Radiance that I can't help comparing them and unfortunately Falling for the Alien Prince falls short.

I really loved this book, I needed a good chemistry book where it was more then just sex scenes but at the same time they still had them lol. I literally kept getting butterfly’s throughout the entire book and that’s how you know it is a really good book, because that hasn’t happened to me much, if ever, and Ive read ALOT of books. It literally had NO dull moments where I’m hurrying up to read it to get to the good parts, they ALL where good parts. Im so glad I found this book and broke down and finally read it because it was sitting in my library for a long time because I haven’t had much time to read lately with work;until now haha. Thank you so much for being such a good writer :) there were a couple spelling errors but I could care less because it was so good.

Interesting and unique story, the characters were surprisingly likable and I loved that neither of them found the other initially attractive.

My only big complaint was that this book needs an editor. Running your final copy through a spell checker isn’t enough if you don’t know the correct word to use in a sentence. There’s half a dozen incorrect homonyms in here that made me want to rage. Peak/Peek, except/accept aren’t the same words.

Really cute story. Very well written. I have a hard time when I personally don’t find the main character attractive... but that is just me. I wish this was one of those series where every book is a different character’s story. I feel like I got my happy ever after with these two and am ready to move on! I feel like Cara would have a great story.

This was cute, it reminded me of Radiance by Grace Draven with the while “neither of us find the other attractive but we fall in love”. I liked both MCs and overall the world building was good, just could have been more detailed

This was a great story and I enjoyed the characters. I really do like the heroine and how determined she was to get her vengeance.

Slightly different than the normal trope which was nice but characterization and world building wasn’t deep enough for 4 stars.

3 & 1/2 stars rounded up.
I enjoyed this, but I'm not sure what I think about the cliff-hanger ending. This flowed well, & held my attention enough to finish in one day. I liked Millie, and & I liked Murda, but together, seemed a bit of a stretch at times, just because they had such a weird relationship. There were some content mistakes and some proof-reading mistakes, not enough to ruin the story, but enough for some readers to be pulled out of the story to figure things out. I'll have to see when book 2 comes out, if I'll continue with the series.

The opening didn't make sense but I stuck through because of all the great reviews. It said there was only 3 zones but then there is a Neutral one too. Super rapist aliens and an over the top evil human almost made me give up. It gets better after she makes an alliance. The interactions she has with the aliens are better written than with humans.

I loved that the main characters didn't think much of each others looks but their inner qualities. The ending in the epilogue makes me want to read the next book!

Wow, this story was so good that I just read it twice already so I know it belongs on my favorites bookshelf. The first part of the story is slow with the world building but don't worry, once the characters meet it is perfection. I love how the h and H both find each other unattractive because of the difference in their species in the beginning. Millie, the heroine, is filled with so much anger after having seen her family killed that she has taught herself how to hunt the Andores, one of the two alien species inhabiting the earth in this post apocalyptic world. She has a special ability of reading auras so when she meets Murda she knows he is dangerous but has a good heart.

Murda and his crew arrived on earth because of their damaged spaceship and have been attempting to contact their people looking for a rescue but the Andores have helped the humans because they are looking for breeders to keep their population going. Murda tolerates human authorities but finds them dishonest which is easy for him to read with their body language. When he stumbles across Millie in the human territory he is surprised by her honesty and courage and keeps returning to meet her at the pond.

The story is the right mix of romance and action so you can enjoy these two people getting to know each other and recognizing the love they share while struggling to survive against the corrupt humans and the Andores. This part of the storyline is full and ends with a signal from Murda's people opening up a whole new chapter for the h and H where I expect they will have to fight to keep their mating which doesn't fit in the rules of Murda's society. It should be a great read and if it was available I would order it today or beg to be an arc reader.

Totally Loved it!!

Can't wait for the next book (Rescue). This well written. Lots of adventure, action and steamy "action" too. This is the beginning of a series but can be a standalone. It has a happy ending and a desire for more. I really loved the heroine. She was strong and didn't look for a man to save her. She Also had an ability to read #### spoiler alert "auras" which was very interesting. Also the Hero of the story didn't hold the heroine back treating her as weaker. He trusted her kick butt abilities which was refreshing while being an alpha male. Thank you HD for such a great story!!

This was so good. It was a fresh take on aliens. The whole book takes place on earth. With aliens living here. And earth is not a place I would want to live in this story. It’s dangerous with false safety.

It wasn’t an insta love or instant mate type situation. But these two were drawn to each other nonetheless. They couldn’t stay away from each other and before they knew it there were feelings involved.

The story moved along at a steady pace, I was always interested in what was about to happen. It what was about to be said.

This did end in a cliffhanger, which sucks because the next book is not out. But my favorite series usually ended with cliffhangers. I hate it for the moment, but I love it in the long run because it keeps me coming back. And I cannot wait for the second part of this story. I have a feeling things are about to change and get shaken up, and I’m so looking forward to it.

What a good story and I look forward to part two. Millie is a very strong heroine and her and Murda work even if they think each other are ugly .

This was as well done story. You could feel Millie's hatred of her uncle and the situation the world was in and there are some definite humorous happenings involving the children. I look forward to reading how this continues when the next book comes out.
