Foe-phile

Rate this book
Lets be honest, Olivia is a mess. She's in a dead end job, she's chronically single, and she's seeing an extremely unhelpful counsellor, paid for by her narcissistic nightmare of a mother.
And then she meets K, a waitress she has an altercation with on a failing date.
Olivia becomes obsessed with K, desperate to win her approval, her attention and her affections, despite what it will cost her.
Why is Olivia drawn to this mysterious woman? Why does she make the choices she does? What has led her to this point? And is K really everything Olivia thinks she is?
As Olivia tries to understand her past, she will learn that no-one is to be trusted, least of all herself.
A tale of lies, lust, manipulation, dysfunctional family dynamics, and an exploration of how our past shapes who we become, Foe-phile, is a must read, especially for those who like "Fleabag" and "Gone Girl."

Good Read
This is my first read by this author. Held my attention from beginning to end and kept me wondering what's happening next. Full of twist and turns.....that ending didn't expect. Well written and flowed really well. The mental health issues, lust, bisexuality, and family issues kept me intrigued. Great job Charlotte Clegg.

Very enthralling mix of family / personal drama and sexual desire against a background of mental health problems, ultimately with a positive message and totally unexpected ending. Nice to see main character’s bisexuality treated as nothing unusual. Kindle edition missed final proof reading - quite a few punctuation and a couple of wrong names being used. This didn’t spoil story but was annoying, hence 4 not 5 stars.

Very well written book. It is nice to see Bisexuals and mental illness represented in a non-problematic way. This story will keep you guessing right to the end. Definitely worth a read.

This book had me hooked, shook and gobsmacked. It's unlike anything I've previously read in such a good way. Will definitely be waiting for more from this author!
