The third book in this mad and mystical Witch Lit series from an author who knows her way round a tarot deck.
I absolutely loved this book! The music intros and narration by Kate Millner were wonderful. The storyline was well written. The characters were fun. Minerva,a withc takes up with a vicar. Her daughter, now pregnant and single, scores the man she wants and the baby is powerful in her own right.I'd love to have these ladies as friends! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I read the prequel "Black Dogs and Broomsticks" but did not manage Books 1 & 2 which made the 3rd book more challenging to read. It took some while to work out who was who - it does not work as well as a standalone. But in following the magic trail as it were, Minerva the witch, Ronnie, her daughter and Morrigan, her grand daughter all have the gift of magic. Minerva's other half is David, a cleric and Ronnie's is Joe who plays in a band. A lot goes on in their lives, providing mayhem and humour. Interesting read.
This was a book that tugged at your heartstrings for a while and then shifted to British humor in taking care of Aunt Crows assorted animals while she was off on a holiday.
I enjoyed the book as it also dealt with various interpersonal relationships as the characters dealt with daily living and the dreams they have.
If you enjoy British humor and nursing neglected animals back to health you’ll enjoy this story!
Total fast moving mayhem. Minerva unfettered against the rudest of parrots, the smelliest of pigs and other assorted pets, reaching an end only Minerva could orchestrate.
This book was a little difficult to get into at first but eased as the pages turned. Excellent description of the animals involved in the story, names gave me a chuckle. Overall, a good read. Thank you
