The Horses Know #3

The Horses Return

Rate this book
It has been more than twenty years since the Kindred came to live in Rockwood. Most of the villagers have embraced the Kindred and all that they have to teach, but there are those who fear the Kindreds' influence, and so have drifted away to live as outcasts. The outcasts suffer, living as they do, but they refuse help, even from the Horse-Bonded.

Will is adamant that he can succeed where the Horse-Bonded have failed, and bring the outcasts home. But his forceful personality constantly gets in his way. He is the key to the future, but if he is to play his part, he must allow a herd of wild horses to show him how to be the person he needs to be. Only then will he fully understand the lengths to which Amarilla and Infinity have gone to ensure that he can fulfil his destiny and reunite the human race...

I have just finished The Horses Know trilogy, and find I’m thinking about the stories a lot. I started by reading the prequel (I saw it advertised on Facebook) and was amazed and thrilled by it. Having finished that, I went straight on to read the trilogy, one book straight after the other. I really think it’s changed the way I look at life! Wonderful books, beautifully written. I wish everyone could read them.

Transfixed

I loved being able to loose myself in the horses and the story, to read about the very things I love the most about my horses, their smell, behaviour, humour and the deep connections we humans have to them.

If you like horses and are interested in the human mind and our capacity to do more with our minds then you’ll love this!

The End?

It has taken me a long time to finish this series and most of the time was spent happily looking forward to the next adventure that these amazing characters were experiencing. This book took me back in time and reacquainted me with previous stories about the horses and their bond partners which was a very good thing since reading time stretched out beyond my active memory banks and I needed an occasional nudge to wake them up at times! Was well worth the time spent though.
Yeah, I would recommend the complete series to any reader/thinker/horse lover that likes to really get deep into a subject. So if you have the time it will be we!l worth the effort. There is some excellent philosophy in it. Some really fine thinking causing some worthwhile thought processes on the part of the reader!
Do It, you'll e glad you did!

Mind Boggling

Will has grown up and is coming into himself. Although not horse bonded, as he quickly matures becomes one with them. Amarilla and Infinity have become one to teach and assist Will on his journey. Being all connected the group of friends show up also to assist. The wonder of it all. Can we become one with all? Beautiful. Great job. Thank you.

Fantastical Read!

Fantastical read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this 3rd book in ‚The Horses Know‘ trilogy. To read how it all comes back. The understanding of how time is linear in this book series makes it make sense how to God one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years are like a day to Him. Thanks for a great read, Lynn Mann.

The Horses Rejoice

Again, deeply written with an amazing blend of psychology and theology. A more attentive proof reader would have been nice but the river of the book was such that it was only a tiny ripple in what was a wonderous journey

Wonderful

Not since Robert Heinlein's book Stranger in a Strange Land have I had a book effect me like this. Philosophical and emotionally touching as this. Anyone who is a true believer in the kinship of animals and the interconnectedness of all will love this series.

Last book of the trilogy and I am still glad to have read the entire story. The past, the now and the future blend just like real-world histories. If only we could reach out and 'mindspeak'!

I didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did the first two, but I’m glad I was wrong! It’s the characters you know, but the story takes a different path when new characters are introduced. The overall feel of the book is the same, and I couldn’t put this one down either! Already purchased the sequel and planning to start it immediately!

Sad

I love these books and I though it was going to take off from the previous book but this with a time jump broke my heart when infinity...passed away to finish what they started it was a fitting end to the books but also disappointing to have it end I'm not going to as to much I don't want to. Spoil it but a real good book
