The secret Masonic plan for destroying the Catholic Church, which Plus IX and Leo XIII asked to be published. The plan basically calls for promoting Liberalism in the Church so that Catholic leaders will foster liberal ideas to their flocks. (5-1.50 ea.; 10-1.25 ea.; 25-1.00 ea.; 50-.80 ea.; 100-.60 ea.).
Before reading this book or deeming it conspiratorial, every faithful Catholic must heed St. Thomas Aquinas's advise: "Do not heed by whom a thing is said, but rather what is said" (De Modo Studendi). Taking that approach, you will realize that John Vennari is not pushing his own agenda; he quotes both Popes Pius IX and Leo XIII, who asked that the Mason's "Permanant Instruction" be published, the important parts of which Vennari quotes in this pamphlet. After having studied this pamphlet, good further reading is Freemasonry Unmasked by Msgr. Dillon, a book that Pope Leo XIII highly praised.
Remember, this is a real issue because Christ speaks through papal encyclicals (Humani Generis §20: "He who heareth you, heareth me" [Lk. 10:16]), and there have been many papal encyclicals and constitutions condemning Freemasonry, including:
* Clement XII, Constitution "In Eminenti", 28 April, 1738; * Benedict XIV, "Providas", 18 May, 1751; * Pius VII, "Ecclesiam", 13 September, 1821; * Leo XII, "Quo graviora", 13 March, 1825; * Pius VIII, Encyclical "Traditi", 21 May, 1829; * Gregory XVI, "Mirari", 15 August, 1832; * Pius IX, Encyclical "Qui pluribus", 9 November, 1846; * Pius IX, Allocution "Quibus quantisque malis", 20 April, 1849; * Pius IX, Encyclical "Quanta cura", 8 December, 1864; * Pius IX, Allocution "Multiplices inter", 25 September, 1865; * Pius IX, Constitution "Apostolicæ Sedis", 12 October, 1869; * Pius IX, Encyclical "Etsi multa", 21 November, 1873; * Leo XIII, Encyclical "Humanum genus", 20 April, 1884; * Leo XIII, "Præclara", 20 June, 1894; * Leo XIII, "Annum ingressi", 18 March, 1902 (against Italian Freemasonry); * Leo XIII, Encyclical "Etsí nos", 15 February, 1882; * Leo XIII, "Ab Apostolici", 15 October, 1890.
I think the booklet has some good info, though it only has a small excerpt of the Alta Vendita. It also has the scent of sedevacantism. If one is doing some research into Masonry, this booklet has a decent bibliography that one may avail themselves to. I believe the leads contained in this book through the bibliography is the only redeeming quality between its covers.
The secret documents of the Permanent Instruction of the Alta Vendita was written in the early 19th century and fell into the hands of Pope Gregory XVI and published at the request of Pope Pius IX. The Alta Vendita is the highest lodge of the Carbonari, an Italian secret society linked to Freemasonry, lays out a blueprint of subverting the Catholic Church. Bishop Rudolph Graber quoted a Freemason in his book Athanasius and the Church of our Time, "the goal [of Freemasonry] is no longer the destruction of the Church, but to make use of it by infiltrating it."
"Since Freemasonry cannot completely obliterate Christ's Church (Matthew 16:18), it plans not only to eradicate it's influence of Catholicism in society, but also to use the Church's structure as an instrument of "renewal," "progress," and "enlightenment" to further many of its own principles and goals."
Their end goal to indoctrinate the generations with the principles of the French Revolution's Declaration of the Rights of Man (equality of religions, separation of Church and State, religious pluralism, etc) so that eventually the hierarchy of the Church's clergy would be infected with the ideas of "liberal Catholicism."
Informative but I'm now unsure what to believe. I'd like to read more about the French Revolution first in correlation with the Catholic Church and re-read and re-rate this booklet again. I just don't get why we shouldn't love other people of different faiths knowing how human minds can be conditioned and finite; almost "countersyllabus" to Jesus' greatest second commandment.
An excellent short essay on the aims of Freemasonry, and the condemnations by the Church up to the second Vatican council. The book aims to inform the average Catholic on the efforts which the Freemasons are undertaking to undermine and infiltrate the Church (which the book asserts came to fruition at V2) - however there is evidence (which the book provides) as to their "ultimate end is that of Voltaire and of the French Revolution - the final destruction of Catholicism, and even of the Christian idea." p.6
The book invited further study and reading, and provided ample notes and texts for this.
"In effect, those whom Pope Pius XII considered unfit to be walking the streets of Catholicism were now in control of the town." p.21 (On removing restrictions on heretical/modernist theologians who then served influential roles at the council.)
"It was obvious, to anyone who had eyes to see, that the council opened the door to many ideas that had formerly been anathema to Church teaching, but which were in step with modernist thought. This did not happen by accident, but by design." p.22
"Let the clergy march under your standard, always believing that they are marching under the banner of the Apostolic keys." p.10
Easy 20 minute read. Explains the position of the Church and its fight against modernism, progressivism, and freemasonry. Covers the pope's successes and failures in this fight.
No es ni siquiera una fracción de la "Alta Vendita". Es puro fárrago con información que uno puede conseguir en otros sitios. Una completa pérdida de tiempo.
----------------------------------------- Read in conjunction with Msgr. George F. Dillon's book, "The War of Antichrist with the Church and Christian Civilization" where the "Permanent Instruction" was first published in English in its entirety. This little booklet is more a commentary of John Vennari on the substance of the "Permanent Instruction", with only the most significant passages being quoted. It's a really excellent little discussion and exposé of the plot to destroy the Church. The bibliography is superb and can be an incredible resource for further study.
