Evan Eight years ago, I was cast out of my family, out of my pack, out of the very land that had nurtured me since I was born. The charge? Shifting in front of a human. It might have been worth the banishment… if I’d actually done the crime. Now that my alpha is dead, I’m coming back home. I’m determined to return triumphant, to prove myself as the next bloodline alpha. Pack politics are complicated. But meeting Mike, my own sweet, eager omega? Loving him is the simplest thing I’ve ever done in my life. Too bad I can’t keep him. Mike Gypsum is a small town. Crowded with tourists in the winter, dead economy in the summer. I’ve always dreamed of roaming beyond its borders, seeing the world through the lens of my camera. When he comes to town, it’s like a little slice of that forbidden, exotic world comes with him. I know that getting involved with Evan is a bad idea… but I don’t know how to stay away. And finding out he’s my fated mate? Well, that changes everything. The Alpha Comes Back is a mpreg shifter novel featuring a brooding alpha, a small town omega, and one guaranteed happy ending. Every book in the Gypsum series can be read in any order. Get The Alpha Comes Back and 3 other amazing books in the complete Wolves of Gypsum Series Bundle!
sooo good.. i love this set.. it is interesting and fast paced.. action packed and sexy.. it has good characters and an interesting plot plus each book is a lot of fun to read. i loved it
I purchased this bundle approximately two years ago (July 24, 2019) and finally had the opportunity to relax, read, and truly enjoy it. Pack and family are central themes in all four interwoven books. It was wonderful catching up on MC Couples from previous books. It was very hard watching them make similar mistakes for different reasons. Fated makes pulling apart instead of coming together to fill the missing pieces in each others lives.
This was a great mpreg Wolf shifter series. It depicted conflicts, trust issues, fear, trying their darnest to be the person / Wolf shifter their fated mate knew they were. All the yelling, arguing, running away only led them back to each other. My reviews for each book can be found under the individual titles. I'm so glad I purchased many of Preston Walker's books while he was still writing. He has a definite flair for the dramatic. Angst all over the place.
This box set is absolutely a must have. As always well written stories with a great storylines and plots. It contains amazing stories that has a lot of chemistry and passion in them. If you enjoy romances that offer plenty of sizzling heat, dirty naughtiness and a taboo edge you can not go wrong with this very entertaining and enjoyable collection.

So Preston Walker has written some of the best books I have ever had the privilege of reading. This series is a smashing hit. Well written characters. Great over arching plot and the individual plots for each book will grab you and take you on a wonderful ride. You need to read this series and then check out his other works. You won't regret it.
i read this box set as part of an arc program. This is the whole Wolves of Gypsum series, including the books The Alpha Comes Back, The Red Omega, The Omega's Muse and The Alpha's Claim.
The Alpha Comes Back- Evan was expelled from his pack after his father, the alpha, believed Evan betrayed the pack. Eight years later, Even hears his father has died and he wants to return to Gypsum to try and to settle. When Evan returns, his brother Lance is now the alpha of their pack and the whole town is divided with their packs. Evan goes into a bar one night and he meets Mike, the omega bartender and Evan thinks he is a good distraction for now. Evan and Mike flirt and Evan eventually gets Mike to return to his hotel room. They have a connection and Evan thinks Mike might be a fun fling. Mike has never really thought much about settling down and is very attracted to Evan, even though they have decided to leave names out of their fun. Mike has never had an anonymous hook up and decides to go for it. When all the packs meet later in the week, Evan learns Mike is his enemies brother and Mike learns Evan is the town outcast with a bad reputation. They try to stay away from each other, but their attraction is too strong. Mike has dreams to be a travel blogger and wants to leave, and Evan just returned to Gypsum, wanting to make it his home again. They have a lot to work out and there is a danger coming that could change everything.
The Red Omega- Lance is the alpha of the Cook pack and he learned grey wolves were spotted in the area, so he wanted to get the ther pack leaders to work together to get the town to stop the hunting of the wolves and then the shifters would be safe from being discovered and they could run in their wolf forms freely. Lance was having trouble convincing the other alpha to work together and one night when he was supposed to meet another alpha, he saw Mason on stage at the local bar. Mason was an omega, but was often mistaken as a beta and along with his cousin, they were the only members of his pack left. Mason had raised Reese and they were the only red wolves left in the area. Mason played bass in a band of humans and when he saw Lance he was attracted to him. They talked, but Mason left Lance before things got too heated, leaving Lance wondering about him. When Mason was shot while in wolf form on his land by a group of hunters, Lance took him back to the cook home to help him, along with Reese. Mason felt drawn to Lance and thought he was his fated mate, but Mason didn't think he was good enough for Lance, and after he healed he left to go home. Mason also lied about the hunters seeing him shift, and he knew if anyone found out, Lance could be banished also for helping him. Lance was drawn to Mason, but he couldn't explain why. When Lance began to wonder more about if Mason was seen as a shifter, he knew things were going to get dangerous. The hunters were still around and looking to find Mason.
The Omega's Muse- Jim is working with Lance to unite the packs of Gypsum, but they are having problems with the bigger packs. One day while on his way home, Jim stops at the waterfalls to swim and he sees an omega he doesn't know. Henry is a writer who is a lone wolf, he doesn't have a pack, and he doesn't want one. Henry is in Gypsum in hopes of finishing his latest book, but he is suffering from writer's block. Jim has recently lost his job and he is feeling lonely at his house alone after his brother found his mate and his other brother is away working. When Jim sees Henry, he is really attracted to him and asks Henry to go home with him. Henry thinks it could be fun and agrees. They have a good time until Henry catches Jim reading his notes the next morning and sends him away. When Henry's publisher wants him to hire an assistant to help finish his book, Jom was the only one who answered the ad. Henry and Jim have an attraction to one another, but Henry is grumpy and hard to be around, but Jim continues to try to get close to him. Eventually Henry starts to make progress on the book and Jim makes progress on Henry. But Henry is planning on leaving when the book in finished and Jim is too involved with a pack for Henry to accept.
The Alpha's Claim- Sid returns home to Gypsum after he lost his leg while on tour as a nurse in the military and finds his parents not dealing well with the death of his alpha brother Malcolm. Sid is also looking forward to seeing Alan, his best friend since childhood and the alpha of his own pack. Alan wants to meet with the other alphas in hopes of joining their pack, but his brother Patrick is causing problems, making Alan think he is going to challenge him. Alan and Sid reconnect and are delighted to see they still have a strong connection. When they move to a romantic connection, they are surprised to see they are fated mates. Sid is happy, but Alan doesn't want to claim him until the issues with the packs are settled. Sid's father is also against them being together because he thinks Alan is helping to hide information about Malcolm's death.
I loved this series. I think they were all well written and flowed together well. This is a great way to read the whole series. Well done.
This series is full of angst and self-doubt, further confused by multiple instances of miscommunications, and loosely tied together with a progressive theme. Each book ends on a positive note though the journey to arrive there is overly dramatic.
The Alpha Comes Back Eight years ago, Evan's father had banished him from the pack for a crime he didnt commit. But his father has died now, and he can come back - and face Lance, the brother he always thought had not stood by him. But everything i s not always as it seems - and when Evan meets Mike, a young Omega barman, he finds that his ties to the town of Gypsum and his pack might just be unbreakable! Will people from the past be able to destroy his happiness? I loved this story! The Red Omega Lance is the Alpha of his pack - it isnt long ago that his banished brother has returned home, found his mate and had a baby, and Lance is feeling lonely - but the Alpha has many responsibilities. When he goes to a club and sees Mason distracts him - but when human hunters turn up on their land, and Mason id hurt, Lance has to act. Has Mason broken one of their most stringent laws, and revealed himself to the humans? And what about their attraction to each other? Mason and his cousin Reece are the only ones left from their pack - will they be banished from their home too? The Omega's muse Henry left his violent blood pack, where he had been abused for being an omega and had lived alone since. His wolf seemed to have disappeared, and he wad developed writer's block, which threatened gis livelihood, and unless he could fix it, he might have to go back to the pack that terrified him. His publisher is insisting that he needs an assistant to help him meet a deadline. Jim's brothers have left home, and he is feeling empty and alone. When he meets Henry, it's instant attraction, a great one night stand. When Henry advertises for an assistant, Jim applies - without either of them realising who the other is, until Jim arrives at Henry's house. Will they be able to find peace with each other? Or will the bullies in town win, and cause Henry to run again? Will Jim be able to convince Henry that not all packs are evil and violent? The Alpha's Claim Sid reluctantly comes home after losing part of a leg after an incident while in the Navy. His father is as difficult as ever - even more so, and has not let go of his brother's dearth. Alan is sill in town, though - a young alpha of his own pack, and the best friends find solace with each other. But although they are fated mates, the dramas amongst the packs in Gypsum, and the fact that Alan's brother is fighting him for control of the pack means that Sid must, for his own safety. leave the area. Will their relationship survive all of the complications? I have read each of these book separately, and have enjoyed reading them again all in one go!

I couldn't put this collection down from the moment I started on page one till the very end telling about the wolves of Gypsum. All four of the stories were fantastic. I laughed and cried during all the good times and the bad.
Evan Cook has been banished for being accused of doing something he didn't do. He comes back home 10 years later after his father has died and meets his fated mate Mike Adams. They are besieged with threats from human hunters and with Evan being pack-less till he can prove himself before he can claim his mate.
Lance the Cook Alpha meets his fated mate from an almost extinct pack, the White pack. They are hunted by the human hunters after Mason White accidentally shows himself as a wolf when he is shot while in wolf form.
Jim Adams is now all on his own after his brother Mike bonds with Evan Cook. He meets his fated mate while diving off the falls, Henry is an author who has writers block and Jim becomes his muse so that he can finish the book that he has failed to write past two deadlines. This is his last chance to finish his book before his publisher washes their hands of him. They soon discover that Henry is Jim's fated mate but Henry has emotional issues with packs as he has run away from his own blood pack when he was a teenager. Henry is bullied by an Alpha Malcolm Decker, who is from one of the Gypsum packs and his life is threatened. Jim and Henry solve the problem with a blood battle which ends tragically with human hunters killing Malcolm.
Alan Spence is the Alpha of another of the Gypsum wolves who is fighting his brother Patrick for leadership of the Spence pack. Sid Decker, Malcolm's younger brother comes home from active duty but he is injured. He has come home to heal without bringing attention to his accelerated wolf healing. He meets up with Alan after being gone since leaving for college. They were best friends growing up but soon discover that they are fated mates. They bond but live lives as if they are just friends. Patrick uses their secret relationship to try to break the pack up. Sid's father Ted is against the wolf alliance and says he will declare war on anyone who sides with the Cook-Adams packs. Alan feels that the future for the packs is better if they join the alliance.
Eventually they all live happily ever after, but there are still kinks in the alliance that need to be fixed, but hope is their one saving grace. The fated mates all have children and are very happy.

Great series with each book as good as the next and continuing to weave a beautiful story in a small community.
The Alpha Comes Back: This story grabs you by the emotions right from the beginning. The turmoil, the hurt, and looking for justice are what Evan grabs your attention with. This increases when he meets Mike and cannot resist. He adds desire, attraction, and lust to his already complex emotions. Mike is working at a bar and gives off the impression of innocence. Evan can't seem to get Mike and their time together out of his thoughts. The storyline keeps you hooked and on the edge of your seat with the intrigue, suspense, and hope. The characters are beautiful, complex and relatable in their emotions, struggles, and ups & downs. This is an amazing read and I look forward to the next story.
The Red Omega: This is a great story about Lance, alpha of his pack, who is struggling to make the other packs understand that they should join forces. He is so busy planning for the future that he is not living in the now. Along comes Mason. Lance meets him one night at the bar. Mason is singing on stage and they are both attracted to each other. The story keeps you engaged with the twists and turns, the ups and downs but also the suspense and drama. Your emotions get involved with the colorful characters, their struggles, and their real emotional needs. This is a great read and I look forward to the next book.
The Omega's Muse: This is a great story about Henry and Jim. They are both at a standstill and not sure what they need to get moving forward in their life or their goals. Great characters that grab at your heart strings and a storyline that keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat. Amazing story!
The Alpha's Claim: This is a wonderful story about Sid and Alan. Sid returns home to his parents' home to recuperate after being injured at war as a nurse. While at home, he is thrilled to spend time with his best friend Alan from his youth that he hasn't seen since he left right after high school. Sid finally gets to reveal his thoughts and feelings to Alan that he's kept to himself all these years. The characters are strong, emotional and living life to the best of their abilities while coping with stressors, wants, needs and passion. The storyline is so realistic with the daily struggles, dealing with responsibilities and obligations and trying to juggle all this along with wants and needs. Great read!

This is a great set of books. I enjoyed reading these. The Alpha comes back Evan was banished from his pack by his father for something he did not do. Mike is a member of another pack. His brother was part of the reason for Evan's banishment. He came back after his father's death. Mike and him could not stay away from each other but others wanted Mike as his. They worked it out and cleared Evan's name by exposing who actually did what Evan was accused of. In the end they have a HEA. The Red omega Lance is the alpha for the Cook family. He is trying to unite the different packs for security. He finds Mason and Reese. They are both omegas and the only two left of the White pack. Lance and Mason are actually fated mates but both are fighting it. There are some things that are going against them. When Lance finally realize Mason is his fated mate he has to save him from the human hunters who has kidnapped him. Lance and his brother find him and when he finally gets to Mason he finds out that Mason is pregnant. They have a son and begin to unite as a family. The Omega's muse Henry is an omega who writes for a living and spends most of the time by himself. Jim meets him and becomes his assistant. During a night they discovered they were fated mates. They both fight through Hennry not wishing to be a part of the pack. Troubles come in the form of human hunters and other shifters. Henry and Jim fight to get their HEA ending, which they do. The Alpha's claim Sid and Alan were friends from a very young age. Sid left to join the military. Alan stayed and became alpha of his clan. When Sid came home it was to recover from his injury. He lost his leg over seas. Alan and Sid went out to catch up on old times. They found out they each had a crush on the other. The problems were Sid's father and Alan's brother. They worked it out and had a son. With this came a HEA ending.

The Alpha Comes Back 3* Evan returns to his pack after being gone eight years. Living on his own, fending for himself, and he still has not grown up. He continues to be immature and harbor resentment toward his brother, who did not make the decision to banish him. He makes mistake after mistake. Mike I a super sweet and smart Omega. The beginning was quite slow. I wished the resolution would have been different after the confession at the end.
The Red Omega 5* I loved Mason and his younger cousin, Reese. They are both not the typical Omega and have amazing personalities to match. They are the last of their Pack and have been on their own for years. Lance is embroiled in Pack issues and leadership among the many packs. He does not see what is right in front of him. A great couple
The Omega's Muse 4* Jim is at loose ends, and his self esteem took a hit as well. Henry is only in Gypsum to write his book but it will not write itself. He avoids people and shifters alike. The Alpha's son is beyond frustrating, continues to lead the pack in trouble, and his Alpha refuses to reign him in. Their relationship is off to a terrible start, and so much happening with the packs. It's a perfect storm you cannot stop reading.
The Alpha's Claim 4* Alan is overwhelmed being the Alpha of his pack and trying to do what he believes is the best for them and not falling into his father's trials. He continually acts unsure of himself and places Sid secondary to everything. The blurb says Sid was in the Navy, but the book never mentioned he was a Hospital Corpsmen, it was all very vague reference to him being a nurse in the military.

A great story to read. Evan was banished from his pack and now that his father has died he has returned home to see what is to happen next. Mike is an omega who keeps looking ahead to new adventures. Mike and Evan meet up at there is instant chemistry. Mike is the younger brother of another pack who is not friendly with Evans pack. Can Mike and Evan make their relationship work? What will happen to both packs?
Henry is an omega, when he was a little child he lost his wolf. When Henry turned 18 years old he left his pack to tray and make it on his own. Henry did not like the violence that he saw in his pack and wanted to get away from it. Henry would stay in out of the way places and write his books. After several years on his own he was doing good, but now he was having a problem focusing and writing his latest book. While Henry was out walking he met Jim, a young alpha. Jim and Henry spent a few hours together and the Henry told Jim to leave because he was looking in one of his journals. Henry was told he needed to hire an assistant so he runs and ad and Jim shows up for the interview. Henry and Jim agree to keep it professional and they work together to get Henrys book finished before the latest deadline. For a while this works and then they cross that line one night and everything changes. Will Henry be able to get his wolf back? Will Jim be able to keep Henry safe? Will they both find the love and family they are looking for?

When I first picked up a book with m/m and mpreg in the key words, I had no idea what they meant. In the fictional world created by Preston Walker, the words mean real life emotions in a world populated by men who not only love each other, and sometimes struggle with that. These men, at least some of them, can carry and bear children, and have all the related emotions and stigma.
Gypsum is part of a rough world, where revealing shifters to humankind can mean death or exile.
Preston brings to life their conflicts, their joys, their suffering- and ever present are specters of life and death.
If you enjoy reading about romance that has little to do with hearts and flowers, and more to do with blood linking life, birth, and death- these stories might be a hot read for you.

One of the best boxsets that Ive ever read. Each book is brilliantly written with amazingly well developed characters that are truly likeable, and storylines that take you away and allows you to get lost in the world that the author created.

This set of books reminds me of magicians with their slide of hands and other bags of tricks. Just when you are sure you know how the story goes, the story reveals a different scenario... All because the story teller redirects your attention to the wrong details.

This author has managed to pull together story after story into one bundle and make sure we are enthralled in the pages. This series is a page turning, Wolf loving bundle with some adorable babies.
This is a four book bundle. It about the Cook pack and how Lance the Alpha of the pack wants to get all the packs in Gypsum to unite together. Each book is a stand alone but are also connected. I really enjoyed this series. It was well written and the characters are interesting.
The men of Gypsum each have some interesting issues to overcome. Their stories are well detailed and have well developed characters and story lines. Strongly recommend this series.
