Weightless #2

Counting Curves

Rate this book
SEAN:

I’m watching my weight, but my nutritionist is watching me.

My breakup is behind me, but the stress eating is hard to kick. I need a nutritionist to get my habits in order, and Thomas knows exactly what my body needs to take the weight off. Forget the sweets; now I’m craving him. Thomas and I started as workout partners, but we soon found out we prefer at-home cardio—preferably in bed.

When I get a job offer across the country that could pull us apart, it’s time for a tough choice. But if Thomas is teaching me anything, it’s how to make smart decisions in food and in men.

He’s the one indulgence I don’t feel guilty about.

THOMAS:

He’s trying to eat less, but he keeps coming for seconds.

Sean hired me to help shape his body, but he already looks delectable to me. My ideal meal plan involves a balanced serving of him with a side of fogged-up windows and dirty words. I don’t care about his clingy ex; Sean’s worth fighting for. After a scary break-in, I bring him home, and it doesn’t take long to realize I want to keep him here.

He’s sensitive about his weight, but his body is perfect to me. I’ll show Sean I’m committed, and that could mean some serious decisions—in and out of the kitchen.

He may be dieting, but I’m hoping he’ll feast on me.

This is the second book in the Weightless series. It can be enjoyed as a standalone with no cliffhanger. Readers can expect a spicy MM romance with several steamy scenes.

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author and have voluntarily chosen to review it.
After having had some issues with the first book of this series I have to say I was a little nervous about reading this one... but no worries as the author has done an extraordinary job!
Absolutely adored Sean and Thomas, loved how they stuck together in spite of the hardships Drew caused. I believe there is one character in this book that made it 5 stars... she was great in book one, but she shines like a supernova in this one... GERTIE!!! This book is all kinds of sexy, sweet and hopelessly romantic. Loved it!

I am absolutely loving this series from Jason Collins and this is such a feel-good, heart-happy addition! Right from the start I completely adored Sean and Thomas, they are such great characters! I could totally empathize with Sean and how he handles his anxieties, along with wanting to improve himself. And Thomas is just the perfect match for him! It's sweet and fun and a lot of hot and I really enjoyed their story.

Sean is coming out of a rough break-up with an ex who, a little crazily, can't seem to understand that he's an ex. He copes with junk food, he knows it isn't good for him, but it's what he does. Thomas is a nutritionist and the wellness center and has had his eye on Sean for a while. When he hears he's single, he knows it's time to get to know him a little better. It's perfect timing for the two, since Sean has decided it's time to give the junk binge and Thomas is the perfect person to help him.

It's clear right from the start that these two connect. They are natural and adorable and wonderful together. I loved them in the kitchen together, that was always great. I loved seeing how they supported each other as well. And, as life does, there is a curve ball thrown at them, and these two really learn how much they mean to one another. I really loved the way it all came together and their story left me with a big happy smile on my face! Another great read from Jason Collins!

SOME HABITS AND PEOPLE ARE HARD TO GET RID OF

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review

A story about making oneself feel good and doing something about the current situation. It gives curvy people hope as shown in Sean and Thomas’s situation. It also gives one hope to do what they feel is right for love and to pursue their dreams.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Weightless series. In this book, Sean was recently broken p with his ex Drew and has been a little depressed and started to eat junk food to cope. Sean works at the wellness centre as a massage therapist and decides to go to Thomas, the nutritionist for help. Sean has a little crush on Thomas and is a little nervous to ask for help, but Thomas puts him at ease and offers to help teach him to cook nutritious meals. Thomas likes Sean and would like to have more with him, but he knows Sean just broke up with his ex. Thomas and Sean start to grow closer as friends and work out together, and soon they become more. Sean and Thomas start seeing each other, but Drew returns and starts to cause trouble. Also Sean is offered a new job and has to decide if he wants to stay and be with Thomas, or move away and have a long distance relationship. I loved this book, I love the characters and thought they were great together. I loved Sean and related with his stress eating, Thomas tried to make Sean feel good about himself and not to focus on weight. I thought it was also good Thomas understood the importance of eating unhealthy at times and didn't make Sean feel bad, he stressed it was about balance. I like that about this series. I liked seeing Gertie again too, she is too funny. Another great one from Jason. Well done.

I know the book is about Sean and Thomas and they are GREAT, but Gertie is really the star of this series. She is a hoot and always seems to know how the guys are really feeling and doesn't hesitate in offering advice. Sean recently broke up with his boyfriend and has some binge eating issues. Not really bad, just enough to make him feel bad about himself. Thomas is the nutritionist at the gym they both work at and has been interested in him, but Sean was in a relationship so nothing was said. When Sean goes to Thomas for some advice and help in changing his eating habits, Thomas is excited to find out Sean is single. Their relationship takes off and Thomas is super supportive of everything Sean is doing. They work through all of the mean, harassing things Sean's ex, Drew, dished out. I loved this book and the characters resonated with me. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Engaging, steamy, romance that will make your heart smile.  I really enjoyed this story and the characters were both touchable and felt real in their interactions with each other.  I enjoyed the delicious food that they created and how they made healthy look good.  The story-line was interesting and the writing flowed well.

Sean and Thomas have really amazing chemistry and will steam up your kindle.  They made lots of time for cooking up all kinds of steamy ideas.

This is book two of the Weightless Series and can be read as a stand-alone.  However you do see the characters from the previous book and it having read book one, i enjoyed seeing the MC's from that book and the other supporting characters we got to know.

I  was gifted this book from the author and i freely give my honest opinion and review.

Sean is dealing with a spiteful ex and his crush on his co-worker. I understood his coping mechanisms of eating his feelings and I applauded him for realizing his bad habit and seeking help. I liked that the first thought we get from Thomas is his excitement when he realizes that Sean is single. His support of Sean is unwavering, from helping him with better habits to dealing with the ex. Even when he doesn’t like the thought of being separated from Sean he supports his dreams. My favorite part is them crossing paths at the end of the book.

A spiteful ex causes all kinds of problems for Sean as he is just discovering the man of his dreams, Thomas. Both work at the gym and health center and their paths cross often although neither one has the courage to talk to the other. Then one day Sean realizes he has been binge eating because of his ex and approaches Thomas to help him out with a nutrition plan. Their relationship evolves and Sean's ex causes problems for the two. Will they get back together or will their paths take different directions. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC book.

I really enjoyed this story because the narrative hooked me. I liked the first story in the series but I loved this one. The characters are relateable and very realistic. The main character Sean comfort eats after being hurt by his nasty ex. Who can't relate to him and his feelings? I know I can. This is one of the best thing's about the author's characters. Thomas just does something for Sean. Maybe he brings a fresh air to him. The chemistry between them is really hot.
I really enjoyed it.
I received this as an arc and freely reviewed this story.

Thomas is just what Sean needs to turn over that new leaf & get right on that track. Amazingly Sweet!

Another incredible read by Jason Collins. This time we have Sean and Thomas at the Wellness Centre, a masseuse and a nutritionist. They connected so fast, fit together so easily. Their relationship felt very natural. I enjoyed every page, and was quite pleased to see familiar faces from the first Weightless book, including Gertie. Gertie is such a fun character!

Looking forward to reading the final book in the Weightless trilogy.

Thank you! 🥰

A great follow-up to the first in the series, Sean and Thomas have amazing chemistry and steam up the pages. It's a relatively light and fluffy read, with a touch of angst as they sort out some tough decisions together. Definitely good for when you're in the mood for a sweet and raunchy story with likeable and well-written characters.

Sean is trying to kick bad eating habits and he has the perfect nutritionist right at work. He has an annoying ex to deal with but he is determined to keep him out of his life. I like that strength in him. Also, he is shy but brave enough to follow through and find real love. Thomas goes right along for the ride. They are so great with each other. Another sweet hit from this series.

It’s OK

In spite of the grammatical errors, the storyline has some appeal - Thomas and Sean are interesting characters and well presented. There is a lot of erotica and most of it was not worth the time, but I guess that’s all some readers care about.

Thomas & Sean

Counting Curves was every bit as much fun as book #1! I absolutely loved the chemistry between Thomas and Sean and found myself grinning whenever I read their back and forth dialogue. It was just enough quirky, sweet, and sexy to keep you warm inside. It also carried enough "Dudes," to make Bill and Ted feel "Most Excellent!" That is until the MCs found their emotional connection with each other was reciprocated. Then the endearments changed a bit...but every once in a while Thomas was embrace his inner Keanu and another "Dude," would escape! 😂

If you are a fan of steamy romance with adorable nosy and well meaning side characters this is definitely one you should read! Oh and that climax at the end...that would soooo happen to me! 😂
