The Rock and Roll Death Patrol are a group of musical heroes who have united to fight the evil of pop stars, and corporate-controlled music. This book was a blast to read with fun to be had by everyone, especially lovers of music. The story is fast-moving and action packed all the way to the end, and Rose peppers nuggets of fun musical easter eggs that play like a wink and nod to those in the know, which I love. This book is rad as heck and a blast to read. so grab a copy and I'll meet you in the pit!
There isn't many times in by book reading life that I have laughed out loud. Or bought a book after I had already read it just so I could have it in my library. Or itched so badly to highlight all of my favorite passages (which I will, once the paper version arrives). It's quick, it's funny, it's witty. And hell, I'm not even that big of a music nerd, so I KNOW there were jokes in there I wasn't catching and now I have to rethink my entire hobby lineup to include different music genres and history so I can go back and enjoy this even more. It's not often a story keeps me on my toes. So often these days (in sleep deprived/overworked land) I find myself glazing over paragraphs to get to the meat of it. Not this one. No slacking for me! Overall, 10 thumbs up. Worth it for Riotgrrl and her deathly hair alone. Thank you, Mr. Rose, for this awesome and disturbing bit of escapism.
