it was in 2007 that I was first introduced to Ramana maharishi through "The Teachings of the Inner Ramana" taken down by Regina Dawn Akers. Putting into practice the tools outlined in that book have changed my life. However, I did not know anything about Ramana or his teachings, and even though a friend had given this current book several years ago, I was not prompted to read it until now.
It was interesting and after reading it I can readily see that my current deeper practice in "Know they Self" through Self-abidance is totally in accordance with what Ramana was/is all about.
