Growing up, Scott Nickel wanted to be a comic book writer or a mad scientist. As an adult, he gets to do both. In his secret literary lab, Scott has created more than a dozen graphic novels for Stone Arch Books featuring time travel, zombies, robots, giant insects, and mutant lunch ladies. Scott's NIGHT OF THE HOMEWORK ZOMBIES received the 2007 Golden Duck award for Best Science Fiction Picture Book.
When not creating crazy comics, Scott squeezes in a full-time job as a writer and editor at Jim Davis' Garfield studio.
Held my seven year old's attention for the most part. Had some good points and we talked about them. I think my son has radar for anything educational that might impart knowledge and it repels him. So hiding good info in the Garfield book was brilliant, but by the time we to the q & a at the end he knew what was up and began to whine and say no. He was not going to listen to and or read the informative q & a at the end lol. Oh well, we got most of the book read!
This was a decent book about safe downloading. It would be good as an introductory book for kids when given more internet access to lead parents into a conversation about not downloading anything from sites without parent permission and without knowing something is safe to download and the dangers of what can happen if you misuse internet privileges. Not the best book but a quick and simple read with an important message.
