A book for all the disciples who is curious to know about Guru- Why he does like this? or why me? or why in this way?. Patti Ji has shared her story of enlightenment and how when the student is ready Guru will appear and help the disciple in evolving in one's journey of life. End of the day she realised having money, success & a luxurious life is not everything. There's much more than that. YEah! thats when she discovered the immense joy and peace in the path of spirituality under the guidance of Living Guru "Sri Sri RaviShankar ji". She has explained in a very easy and interactive language. I have completed it in probably less than 4 hours. This is the very first time I have completed a book so fast. Its so interesting to know the story of a Guru and a disciple. How a guru can enrich one's life with proper guidance and knowledge. Guru is with us every time we just need to have faith upon him.

Read this book after Silent Retreat Camp at Boone, NC
I feel so fortunate to have this book's author Patti Montella as my teacher for my first ever face to face Silent Retreat in July 2021 with more than 120 students.
I was born in India and lived in US for more than 36 yrs and now learning from US born Art of Living teacher! What are the odds of that happening? Bought this book after retreat and finished reading in 3 days 🤷🏻♂️
Excellent book to read to learn how Pattie grew emotionally and spiritually from a Business professional to a Humanity service volunteer under guidance of Sri Ravi Shankar... really liked the flow and stories in book with words of wisdom from Gurudev.

Excellent read
Simple and beautiful narration making profound teachings explained in easy to understand way.
Gurudev’s teachings are even easier to understand and relate to, with anecdotes written in honest and heart touching way.

Great spiritual biography.
Patti's relationship with HH Sri St Ravi Shankar is a wonderful story of spiritual opening. It shows whatt a true enlightened guru can do to catalyze our growth. Very beautiful!

Things I leaned from this book: the author got the opportunity to chase her guru around the world. He put her through hell to make her "buttonproof."

A ride of transformation!
Reading this was like being with Patti Montella on her journey AND experiencing the rich learnings that she had on the path. Having read many spiritual autobiographies, this stands out as the story I connected with the most for its simplicity and down to earth narration.
Every quoted pearl of wisdom from the renowned Spiritual Master Sri Sri Ravi Shankar brought about a moment of spiritual discovery, an ‘Aha’ in me as I saw them not just tied to Patti’s life situations but verily to many of mine as well! I’d like to convey my heartfelt thanks to the author for this book and wish her all the success on the beautiful path!

Mainly for religious people.
Not much that is useful to me as an atheist. Though meditation practices can certainly be nonreligious, this book focuses on the ecstatic forms of meditation in search of "enlightenment." Most of the book describes a religious journey as the author's path of change. Little on actual application to life outside a religious context. Would likely be useful to those people with belief in some sort of higher power.
