You're probably wondering what I’m doing hanging off the edge of London's tallest building, The Shard.
I can explain. Kind of. Because I’m not even sure who the invitation came from to join the Dare Club.
But I’ve narrowed it down to two
Max Marquis, a tall, gorgeous Brazilian lawyer with an accent to die for and Nick Banham, a dashing English athlete who may have just broken my heart. Their reasons? Could be love. Could be a desire to watch me suffer. Or maybe those two are the same.
Oh, yeah, and they’re half brothers.
And I’m in love with both of them.
So you see, thrill-seeking is just what I might need to sort this all out.
If I don’t fall to my death first.
But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, when it comes to love, you have to hang on tight.

Maximum Dare is a stand alone, feel good romance by Vanessa Fewings. This is one of those books that you can’t help but to fall in love with the characters and their antics, which were never intended to be antics at all, but always seem to turn out that way.
Daisy Whitby is twenty three years old, works in a high end store helping wealthy women choose gowns, and is suffering from a broken heart. Her boyfriend, whom she had been living with for the last six months, Nick, suddenly left her for a social media influencer. A woman that Daisy knows is going to hurt him eventually. All Daisy wants to do is to warn him, tell him what this woman is really like, and maybe convince him to give her another chance. Let’s just say that none of her attempts go as planned. And little by little, she realizes she didn’t know Nick at all. But one thing good came out of it, meeting Nick’s big brother, Max!
Max Marquis is Nick’s half brother but where Nick grew up in London, Max grew up in Sao Paulo. He always felt protective of his little brother and would do anything to help him. Max is in London to visit his brother and mother, is on his way into a pub where he is supposed to meet Nick when he is literally run right in to by a beautiful woman. A woman that clearly his brother was blind to ever walk away from. A woman that Max can’t seem to now stay away from or stop thinking about.
“Max Marquis’ kisses were a love letter to the soul…my soul.”
Daisy is not an adventurer, she is not a risk taker. But she receives a mysterious invitation to join a “Dare Club,” where the members are given tasks way out of their comfort zones, to make them more confident. Maybe this is what she needs to be able to move on, to go after the things she wants in life. Somehow, though, Max keeps showing up at the challenges. The more time these two spend together, the closer they get. Max knows he should walk away. This is his brother’s ex. But he just can’t seem to make himself do it.
“This felt like an impossible dream might be coming true at least, a chance at something profound that had always seemed out of reach.”
Both Daisy and Max have events in their pasts that have influenced their lives, things that hold them back. Somehow, together, they are able to finally see this, and maybe start to believe that their dreams might be within reach. Maybe.
I loved Daisy and Max so much. I loved watching the way they reacted to each other, watching the effect they had on each other. I felt so bad for Daisy, for how some of the things that happened to her turned out. But she was so much stronger than she gave herself credit for.
This was such a fun, sweet, sexy book. I want to mention that you need to make sure you turn the pages ALL the way to the end. I loved the little extras Vanessa added there. It was like the frosting on the cake. This was such a wonderful book and I can’t recommend it enough.
Maximum Dare was a hilarious need which is just what the doctor ordered at this time in history. Daisy was a hilarious heroine who I couldn't get enough of, especially since she got into the craziest situations in the name of love. I don't want to get into a ton of details as that wouldn't do, but she comes across a man who she didn't know would be perfect for her while trying to deal with the man who dumped her for another. It makes for a slight angst edge which hurt my heart, and yet, she's still so amazing & I will totally read this sexy, super fun story over & over & over again just to get away from the heavy which is life. Vanessa Fewings did a brilliant job with Maximum Dare with colorful backdrops & amazing leads, and now y'all NEED this story in your lives so hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
I can't wait for you to meet Daisy! I loved writing this novel so much. It's the funniest book I've ever written. I'm so looking forward to it being finally in your hands!
I really enjoyed this foray into the world of romcom by Fewings. The story was smart, funny, emotional, and sexy.
Max and Daisy had an amazing connection and she, alone, was one of the most fun characters I've read. Her humor and comedic timing is mostly the klutzy physical comedy and had me laughing out loud. It was a good lighthearted read, which is something we could all use right now.
𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐞 is funny with clever witty dialogue. Daisy is the kind of heroine who always plays on the safe side of life. She never takes chances. That's why when her boyfriend dumped her, Daisy thought he left because she's boring. But Max, the sexy stepbrother of her ex, assured her that's not the reason. Daisy still believed that's the only reason, so when she got an invites to the "Dare Club" she accepted it because she knew this will stretches far outside of her comfort zone. The situations she finds herself in are hilarious. It's been a while since I have literally laughed out loud and I did several times while reading this. You're going to fall in love with Daisy and relating to the courage that it takes to put yourself out there. Will the new adventurous Daisy get her man back or a new man will come along named Max?
I enjoyed this book. The author gave me many good laughs. This is what romantic comedy should be. The humor and romance was lovely. I was satisfied with the ending. Looking for something light and funny chick-lit book? I recommend this one.
I didn't realize how badly I needed this book in my life until I read it. I think with everything going on in the world and information overload, I just needed a perfect escape.
When Vanessa Fewings announced this story and that it would be witty contemporary, I was excited. I mean supercited. She brings depth to her storytelling now it was time to stretch her wings to something funny and endearing.
What I wasn't prepared for, falling for Daisy. Max was the ideal hero. Tall, dark, protective, and caring. Oh, and the part about being Brazilian - oh my panties. That was a given I'd fall in love with him because of Ms. Fewings writes strong, protective alpha males to die for. However, this time, Daisy stole my heart. She is every woman. Just wants to be loved for her. Not the dressing she wears or the popularity she carries - just as herself. She was quirky, could laugh at herself. That person you say "Wanna grab a cup of coffee and be best friends?" So when you love the heroine, you'll hope she gets the Brazilian knight-in-shining-armor.
The story is fluid, joyful and everything for the perfect lost in a book you need. My recommendation is you buy this book and sit back to be swept off your feet.
Daisy and Max are my new favourite couple, they are caring, kind and perfect for each other. I spent half the book with tears in my eyes, not all of them sad, but my heart broke for both of them at times and poor Daisy suffered more than any one should have to, but the highs were oh so great! It is hard to put this book down once you start it is captivating; another Vanessa Fewings triumph!
I received an eARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
5 Stars!
The Review: I absolutely loved this read! From the enticing cover to the gratifying last page, this whole book is filled with swoon and fun. I couldn’t get enough, and when I finished the last word, I was left with an insatiable desire to start it all again.
The characters were vibrant and real. The banter was undeniably delightful. The chemistry was impassioned and tension-filled. The story was perfectly paced. Maximum Dare is a must-read romance!
Story/Characters... Daisy Whitby is a twenty-three-year-old shopgirl who dreams of more. She’s sweet and loving if not a bit introverted and shy. And she’s just been dumped. It was so unexpected, she’s left in a tailspin of “what did I do wrong?” and “how did this happen?”. Now she’s on a reckless mission to expose her ex’s new girlfriend to be the shallow boy-hopper she believes her to be. There’s only one thing standing in her way - the irresistibly hot older brother who came out of nowhere... and who she can’t stop thinking about.
Max Marquis is an extremely successful lawyer in Rio. He has taken time away from his busy schedule to visit his home in England, set to have some quality family time and a bit of relaxation. But what he finds instead is a bright-eyed, sweet and adorable girl left heartbroken by his younger brother. There’s an immediate connection and sizzling chemistry... and a whole lot of complications in between.
A sexy older brother, a willful girl, and an invite to Dare Club, where you are encouraged to look past your inhibitions and explore your hidden wild side.
From the moment Daisy and Max have their meet-greet, we were taken on a fun-filled road trip of lighthearted entertainment and slow-build romance. Daisy’s desperation and life-affirming dares both broke my heart and had me laughing out loud. The situations she puts herself in were awkward and hilarious. She was beautiful and batty all at the same time. I simply adored her! Max was patient and kind, sexy and cuddly. I loved this man! And the story itself? Just a perfect, PERFECT romance!
The Wrap Up: Every time I dig into a Vanessa Fewings book, I find the meaning of “indulgence”. She writes beautifully, taking the reader on an incredible journey with vibrant backdrops and colorful characters. This authors books ALWAYS intoxicated and beguile me.
Maximum Dare is an upbeat, addicting romance loaded with witty intelligent banter, playful, flirty characters and a sweet, well-written truly romantic story.
What do you do when your boyfriend dumps you out of the clear blue and moves in with an Instagram model sensation. You have to move in with your aunt because you have no where else to live. You find out he hid you from his family the whole time you were living together and now has blocked your calls so you can't even find out why he did this to you. You resort to stalking just to try to talk to him but everything seems to go wrong. Crashing into a tall, handsome Brazilian who happens to be his half-brother and being attacked by his bodyguard. Walking across a covered swimming pool, no, that didn't fare well either.
Daisy just wants the best for Nick, but he won't listen to her. He thinks she is too boring and he wants more excitement in his life. So now Daisy has somehow become a member of the Dare Group and finds herself having many harrowing adventures she would never have imagined. She seems to have acquired a partner in a lot of these adventures, and finds she is having the time of her life. Max, the half-brother, finds he is enjoying Daisy's company more and more.
I laughed, I cried, I got mad at a certain someone or two someones, but I LOVED this book so hard!! It was sweet, it was funny, it was heartbreaking, it was about family, loss, love, all the emotions were there. And little Daisy just tromps through life with her big eyes and heart wide open. And Max. What can I say about him, except I want one for myself.
Cudos to Vanessa for writing a love story about self discovery and opening oneself to the possibility of love. I would give this book 25 STARS if I could!!!
I really enjoyed this story. It’s literally what’s needed during this time. I loved Daisy and Max and their banter brought a smile to my face more than once. I loved how Daisy came out of her comfort zone and the fact that Max not only helped orchestrate that but also evolved in his own right. There’s a lot more to this story and I recommend reading to delve into the hearts of these truly likable characters!
I could not stop!!!! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic's Read
This book was a story of healing and rebirth. Daisy is in grief over her life and the breakup with her boyfriend Nick. She does not know why, she stood by him thru everything in the past year. Now that he has made it through his darkness, he decides that he needs a fresh start without Daisy. Nick’s brother, Max comes to visit and feels sorry for the way Nick has thrown over his girlfriend for another more daring woman.
Daisy decides that she is going to be more spontaneous and less boring than she has been in the past. But is seems through her journey and new friendship with Max she is finding a new road to her innermost self and finding true happiness. Then, Max and Daisy become something more.
When something tragic happens and Nick wants her back, Who will she decide is the road to her happiness?
Such a funny and sweet story! I adore Daisy, she is an incredible character and of course there's the very lovable Max who is just super swoon worthy. Loved every page!
I'm all for asshole male characters in books, but there's something about characters like Max as well. The considerate kind, loyal, loving. The kind of person you can count on. He was absolutely swoon worthy! Even though he had demons on his own. he didn't let them control him. He was mature and confident and SEXY! Daisy was hilarious more than anything. I felt very bad for her so many times because luck was definitely not on her side most of the time. But she was the kind of character I learnt to admire and respect really quickly. She was brave, fierce and spirited. She faced each challenge, each dare face on.
The story is very intricate. Lots of situational humor! There was a bit slow, but very naturally flowing progress and development to the characters and to the story line. If you are looking for less dramatic, more humorous leisure read, then this is definitely the right pick! As Vanessa's fan I found it quite different than her previous books, but very refreshing!
4.5 This is the first book that I've read by this author and I didn't know what to expect. This book is this is a slow burn romance book that you will really enjoy. From when I first started reading this book I knew that I was going to like it and it does not disappoint it was a great read and I was glad that I picked it up and have now found another great author.
Nick is the man that cheats on Daisy with in his words with a woman that is more adventurous and willing to try new and exciting things. Daisy is a beautiful woman that has just had her heart broken by her boyfriend Nick and she still wants to try and help him. Daisy knows that Morgan is going to hurt Nick and tries to warn him and she's hoping that he'll change his mind about her. But life never goes the way you planned it to and now Daisy has bumped into Nicks brother Max.
Max is a lawyer and he's a very sexy and protective man who is also dealing with some of his own issues that he is trying to cope with. Daisy and Max start to spend time together and she realized the feelings that she is having she didn't have them for Nick. For some reason Nick kept Daisy from his family and now has you wondering all sorts of things.
Max convinces Daisy to join a Dare club and to help her to come out of her comfort zone and go on some adventures that she would never normally dream of doing and what they both didn't expect was the connection and the sizzling chemistry that is happening between them both. (NO SPOILERS)
I absolutely loved Max and Daisy, they were so beautiful together and they have so much love for each other that you cant take your eyes of of them both and the banter that they share is so good. Daisy is a really nice woman that you can totally relate to and all of her embarrassing moments will have you laughing out loud. This book also has moments that you wont see coming and moments that will having you really feeling for them and what they have been through. I loved how strong and brave that Daisy is and the fact that she didn't need Nick the d**k and instead the love that grows with her and Max is beautiful.
I enjoyed reading this book and I will certainly look for this authors work in the future.
Thank you to the author for allowing me to read a copy of this book. This book is out now.
Sometimes, the best things in life come from making the craziest decisions and taking the nuttiest leaps.
Or in the case of Max and Daisy? Hanging off of the tallest buildings. Without jumping.
This book is lighter than the usual titles by Vanessa Fewings, but don't let that be a reason to skip it. The things you love about this author; the strong characters, the believable stories, the snappy dialogue are all in this one, even though it's less "serious" than her other books.
I loved the way they met, even thought it was a little embarrassing for Daisy, and the way the story evolved made the way they met and the fact that she was involved with his brother into something that ceased to matter, which is good as I was a little concerned with how that would be handled.
It was handled well, while maintaining the overall lighter tone of this title.
And, honestly, isn't a little lighthearted fun something we can all enjoy right about now?
After I saw a friend post about the upcoming release of this book, I got hooked on the book summary and couldn’t wait to read it! I was so stoked when the author released the book early and here I am, finished with it in a day, and I absolutely loved it! Max and Daisy were too cute and their whirlwind romance was a page turner. I just couldn’t put this book down.
Maximum Dare is a fabulous romantic comedy with a swoon worthy Max and a sweet, lovely Daisy. Daisy has decided she has reached a relationship bottom . When her footballer boyfriend Nick leaves her for a media loving socialite she still feels obligated to keep him safe. She shows up at a party and they treat her as a stocker but in the mean time she runs smack into Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome . Max is a lawyer and is in town to visit his brother and family when he literally runs into a beautiful woman. They both are a bit surprised to have a common ground....Nick . Daisy proves herself over and over as caring, loving, sweet woman. She is deserving of love only to be knocked down by the self centered ego maniacs of the world . Max does his best to let her be but the draw to her and her amazing down to earth personality is too strong . They soon find themselves on an amazing adventure that they never saw coming …..Each other. I loved it ! ~~Michele McMullen ~~
Maximum Dare was such a fun read about embracing life and putting yourself out of your comfort zone.
Daisy's boyfriend Nick, an up and coming footballer, cheats on her and then dumps her unexpectedly for popular social media star Morgan, claiming he likes her spontaneity and adventurous side. Daisy is fairly shy and keeps to what she knows, working as a shop assistant. But she knows that Nick is set for heartbreak himself, so tries to warn him about Morgan's man eater ways. But the night she tracks them down the night of Nick's birthday, but before she can talk to Nick she runs into, literally, Nick's older brother Max. Max is over to visit from Brazil and they've never met. They have an instant attraction and can't stop spending time together in the few weeks Max is in London, although both find it strange that they didn't know about the other, let alone met.
Max shows up to help Daisy in times of need, and gives her an envelope, which was meant to be for Morgan, which contains an invitation to join a secret dare club. He convinces her to join, to push herself out of her comfort zone and show that she can be daring and spontaneous too. The dare club have Daisy do all sorts of wild things which she would've been too scared to do before, but with her new way of thinking, and Max supporting her every step of the way, she dives into the activities. Daisy and Max's connection continues to build, and when they finally give into it, it's explosive. Daisy, realising she never felt this way about Nick and that she wants to be with Max. Max feels guilty for falling for his brother's ex, so what happens when all is revealed? And why did Nick keep Daisy from his family? What other secrets have been kept from her?
Max and Daisy were great together, they pushed each other to be the best they could be, but also allowed them to completely be themselves. Daisy was so sweet, she really just wanted the best for Nick and for him to succeed in his dreams and not get hurt by Morgan, she didn't want him back. Max helped her realise what she was capable of all along, he didn't want to change her just opened her eyes to her true self.
Max is such a protective man, he has always done what he believes is best for his family, even if that means it's not best for himself. Daisy was the first time he was selfish in some way and took what he wanted, and really Daisy was never Nick's to begin with. His affection for Daisy grew and he just couldn't stay away from her. There were so many sweet and swoony moments, I loved seeing how they opened up to one another, and she made him realise his own dreams too.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. The ending was so sweet. Although there was meant to be a forbidden feel to it, with the whole brother's ex situation, it never really felt that bad because Nick had ended it with Daisy and cheated too, so you were cheering Daisy and Max the whole time. There was minimal angst and I was so hooked to see how the story came together. This was an easy read with heat, sweet moments and a whole lot of dares!
*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.*
My heart is full of so many extreme emotions but the first and most dominating one is HAPPINESS. Maximum Dare by Vanessa Fewings is a funny, sweet, sexy, heartaching, swoonworthy and soul deep romance that will brighten your day no matter what you are feeling. I am glowing from all the beautiful feelings. This is escape through stories at the very best.
Daisy is on a mission. To warn her ex Nick about his current socialite aka influencer aka social climber girlfriend Morgan. And win him back. And while on the mission, she "accidentally" meets Nick's half brother, Max Marquis. The hotshot lawyer from Brazil. Max has the biggest heart and he is determined to help Daisy to move on from the heartbreak. Is this a dare he should take? Will Daisy get back her ex or someone else will steal her heart?
This is so different from the intense stories Vaness Fewings writes. Yet it holds the same beauty and magic in words. I am so excited and relieved to meet a heroine who is far from perfection in society's eyes and someone simple folks like me can identify immediately. I cannot tell you how many of Daisy's embarrassing moments I have shared. Trust me, we all have been there! And her clumsiness, frank honestly, beguiling simplicity, big heart and natural beauty makes her a real and relatable character. I cheered for her as she pushed her limits and found new courage for herself. And Max was there with her at every step. He is just so dreamy! He is gorgeous, charming and worthy of every swoon and sigh! He is the right kind of arrogant, attractive and attentive. He puts "man" in Romance. Falling for brother's ex is not an easy situation, specially if that brother looks up to him. Their connection starts at an awkward state and soon the excuse of helping Daisy turns into something more. The heat. The easy camaraderie. The stupid things they did together. The banter. The way they understood each other overcoming their social status differences. Just perfect slow burn with optimum effect. Of course it's Vanessa Fewings we are talking about. So I had a good old dose of heartbreak and angst that only sweetened the deal for me.
Maximum Dare by Vanessa Fewings is a perfect combination of a rom com and an angsty contemporary romance. The chemistry and the emotions just owned me. I loved every second of it. It made me smile like crazy and made my heart ache in best possible way.
***ARC received in exchange of an honest opinion***
First of all, I have to say it was a pleasure to see a Brazilian characters portrayed as Vanessa did with Max. I really liked him and it was a pleasure to give her some pointers on all things Brazilian in the book.
That being said, I really enjoyed the story. I have a thing for a jerk kind of alpha male and Max fits those categories (and some others). I really liked Daisy too, specially her sense of humor and how she bounced back from a shitty situation.
I really like the way Vanessa writes her stories and her characters. Everything flows so well that when you realize it you're finishing the book. And she definitely made me want more. Max and Daisy definitely have chemistry and I could feel their connection from this side of my kindle screen.
I also liked how Vanessa showed how resilient Daisy could be and her vulnerability only made her more real to me. That went very well, alongside with Max and their interactions. I love their banter and specially their connection.
Overall I enjoyed this book a lot and I wouldn't mind if it was a bit longer too!
Why had I not read a Vanessa Fewings book before? I loved this book!!! I actually have a few of her books in my TBR and I simply hadn't picked them up yet.
After reading Daisy and Max's story? Oh that is most certainly going to change!! Time for some more Vanessa in my reading lists!!
Daisy has become super careful after her beloved brother's death. Her boyfriend Nick has dumped her for someone more glamorous and spontaneous. And an invitation finds its way into her hands that pushes her outside of her comfort zone.
She also finds herself falling in love with her ex's half brother, Max.
The two of them have a tendency to put others needs before their own. Daisy isn't the only one needing a little push towards happiness.
I absolutely loved this book!!! It was not quite what I expected. I was expecting more of a love triangle but it isn't really. It is definitely Daisy and Max's story. Nick is a part of their story...but more because he's Max's brother and her friend.
I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I loved this story. I started reading it thinking I might get a chapter or two done in a sitting just to break away from everything else and wouldn't you know it, I was more than half way when I checked my progress. I stopped and said, wait a minute, I'm not ready for this to be over yet!
I have to say, I went through many emotions with the characters. I didn't agree with Daisy and her desire to win Nick back. Right from the start, I viewed him as a grade A a**hole. His treatment of Daisy was disgraceful. It was clear that despite her best efforts, he was over their relationship. I was glad when she focused on herself rather than Nick. Maximus was an interesting individual. He comes off as a stuffy suit but really he is a funny and charming gentleman. While reading, I was reminded of the movie Sabrina.
There was a slight twist that I sort of saw coming but not in the exact way I thought. That's when I warmed up to some of the characters but I was still a bit miffed with them. I loved the story. It's about taking a chance and going beyond your comfort zone. I loved Daisy's bravery and her seeing her dare quests to the end. But it's also about being okay with who you are and knowing that the right one will love you, quirks and all.
This was a refreshing story that I enjoyed, full of emotions, humor, and steamy scenes. Daisy and Max's story doesn't start as most stories, but when they find themselves meeting under interesting circumstances it brings Daisy to a whole new world to her, one she never expected and she finds pushing herself beyond her comfort zone. This book definitely has a different appeal and I would totally recommend it. You will find yourself laughing and your heart wrenching throughout the pages. I wish for an audiobook in the future to experience it again.
Love, love love this book! Daisy is an absolute delight and Max a worthy hero combining charm, empathy and loyalty. A romance to savour, Maximum Dare pits Daisy against a world that seems to have abandoned this sweet, funny, giving woman in favour of the cold and self centered. Max and Daisy have completely won my heart and Vanessa Fewings had written a book to make you feel wonderful and leave you with a huge, happy smile. This is book which gives you an enormous hug and tells you that kindness and caring are what truly matters in this world. Just what this reader and the world need. Wonderful 💖💖💖💖💖
I don't know where to start. Max and Daisy are everything. This book has all you can want - moments that make you laugh out loud, some that make you cry, some where you feel the love, loss and all the amazing moments that Vanessa Fewings has written for our enjoyment. I couldn't put this book down and read it all in one sitting. Just wonderful. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Daisy Whitby’s life turns upside down when her live-in boyfriend all of a sudden breaks up with her and starts dating Megan Hawtry, a popular blogger. Daisy will do whatever she can to protect Nick Barnham from the heartache she predicts he will soon have but soon Daisy finds herself humiliated in front of everyone. Now Daisy finds herself invited to the Dare Club where she will learn to live life a little more on the wild side. Supporting her through her adventures seems to be Max Marquis, a Brazilian lawyer, and Nick’s ½ brother. As Daisy finds herself becoming attracted to Max she must figure out who her heart really wants but soon she discovers that following your heart isn’t as easy as it seems. This was a great book and I enjoyed it from start to finish! I liked that things constantly surprised me and I was never 100% sure how things would turn out. I liked Daisy and I felt horrible for her and how quickly she was replaced by Nick. It also surprised me how Nick described her and how she just wasn’t adventurous enough for him and didn’t live her life enough on the edge, yet with everything she had gone through with her brother, I really wasn’t surprised. At first I thought both brothers were patronizing towards Daisy and I hated how each of them looked down her. It seemed like a pity invitation when Max handed Daisy the pink envelope that had belonged to Megan but I liked how much it began to push Daisy out of her comfort zone. I liked seeing a change in Max but he was still very devoted to his family and although he was torn I could see that he was still going to return to Brazil. It was also apparent that Max did what was expected of him. Nick on the other hand grew up used to getting what he wanted and had a goal of following in his father’s footsteps but wondered if it was his talent or his father’s name that was opening doors for him. There were so many OMG moments that involved Daisy’s terrible luck that had you laughing but also at the same time had your heart breaking over every humiliating event. I knew deep down that every event made her stronger, but it still just made my heart break at those who were laughing when she was down. There was a huge moment involving Nick towards the end of the book and it made me sad how everyone reacted to the events and dealt with it in their own way. I was so mad that Max never said what he wanted and in fact did the opposite and from that the position that Daisy was placed in. I was absolutely shocked at the end when the brother’s mom did something totally shocking but I wasn’t sure that Daisy was going to be able to do what she did because of what had happened to her brother. The end was so awesome and I was so happy with where and who Daisy ended up with!! By Rebecca

After Daisy is dumped by Nick, her cheating boyfriend, for her lack of excitement and adventure her only concern is ensuring that he knows that his new girlfriend is a heartbreak waiting to happen. He wants nothing to do with her and has cut off all avenues of contact so what could be better than showing up somewhere that she knows he will be but the surprise is on her when she meets his brother Max.
Max is a lawyer who is in town to see his family when he meets Daisy. He is enchanted by her from their first meeting so he anonymously arranges for her to get an invitation to be part of the Dare Club. He hopes that this will be her opportunity to realize that she is perfect just the way she is and doesn’t need to change for anyone while allow them to spend some time together as well.
These two were so perfect for each other. He gives her the support she needs when she feels like she isn’t enough while she has a way of making everything they do together fun which is something he needs in his life.
This was my first book by the author and I must say the cover model is the biggest reason I wanted to read this book. I mean look at him, he's gorgeous! I read the blurb and it sounded good so here we are lol. Max and Daisy were adorable together! Nick... Oh Nick, what to say about him? Broke Daisy's heart, rubbed a new relationship in her face and acted like the didn't even like her. He somewhat redeems himself by the end. I loved the Dare club that Daisy joins! I mean how fun and scary would it be to do some of the things that she does? I mean sliding down a tube 100 feet in the down(It may not be that high, I just can't remember). Daisy is a tad bit naive but there's a reason for that. Her and Max challenge each other and it brings both of them exactly where they need to be. Daisy definitely brings the fun to the party and lunches, that's for sure! This was a fun book to read!
