Violeta -- It’s been a year since I was brought to the US and given to Rocket. I’d thought he was like the others and would only cause me pain. I was wrong. Rocket is the kindest, sweetest man I’ve ever met. I arrived an abused, pregnant teen. Now I’m a more confident woman, and I have Rocket to thank. Falling in love with him was inevitable, but now I need him to see me as a desirable woman and not a girl who needs his protection.

Rocket -- The young girl who came to live with me was more broken than I’d realized. The horrors she faced have made her stronger, but it didn’t happen overnight. It’s hard not to watch her, to want her. I shouldn’t. I’m too damn old for an eighteen-year-old woman. She’s not as fragile, physically and emotionally, but I can’t shut off the protector inside me that wants to shelter her and keep her safe. When she’s taken, I know that the men responsible will die. I only hope that side of me doesn’t scare my sweet Vi, but nothing will stop me from spilling their blood. I just don’t know if we can end the war before it starts, or if this will only be the beginning. I’ll keep her safe, no matter the cost, because she’s mine whether she knows it or not.

WARNING: This book contains violence, strong language, explicit sex scenes, and an abused woman. But it also has a biker who will protect the woman he loves, no cheating, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.

Harley Wylde is the International Bestselling Author of the Dixie Reapers MC, Devil's Boneyard MC, and Hades Abyss MC series.

When Harley's writing, her motto is the hotter the better -- off the charts sex, commanding men, and the women who can't deny them. If you want men who talk dirty, are sexy as hell, and take what they want, then you've come to the right place. She doesn't shy away from the dangers and nastiness in the world, bringing those realities to the pages of her books, but always gives her characters a happily-ever-after and makes sure the bad guys get what they deserve.

The times Harley isn't writing, she's thinking up naughty things to do to her husband, drinking copious amounts of Starbucks, and reading. She loves to read and devours a book a day, sometimes more. She's also fond of TV shows and movies from the 1980's, as well as paranormal shows from the 1990's to today, even though she'd much rather be reading or writing.

Rocket is such an honorable man which some make think is an oxymoron for a biker, but the brothers of Hades Abyss are a whole different breed of bikers. I think the characters and Hades Abyss world are developed superbly to give the reader a clear understand of the MC life and the concept that monsters may wear suits and the saviors wear leather. Violeta is more than she thinks, and the reader gets to witness her rise from the ashes. Rocket and Violeta’s story is one no romantic and MC fan should miss.

ROCKET DIDN'T ROCK ME
Rocket and Violeta make a sweet couple but they don't have the fire like the others. Violeta's character is really sweet but even though she's young she's lived the a nightmare of a life, forced to be used, abused and tortured by hundreds of men by her father she doesn't seem quite mature enough. Since moving in with Rocket she's started getting herself settled and she is falling in love with Rocket. Rocket is attracted to Violeta the first time he sees her but she's only seventeen so he never acts on it. He hides his feelings but his brothers see it. He's falling in love with her. When Vi finally turns eighteen Rocket makes his move and in one night they're madly in love and engaged. Then Vi is taken and Rocket and the guys go to find her. Unfortunately they don't find her before she's hurt. Rocket is bad@ss and he tortures one of the men who took her. I was kinda disappointed there wasn't as much excitement and action in this book as the others. We get to know a few of the other brothers a little better. Dread and Fox and Teller in particular. They need their own books. I was hoping to get moore on Spider and Luciana's new baby girl also and I would've liked to have heard if Addy made it back to her mother. It's nice that Rocket and Violeta get a nice surprise. I don't really know what to say except this book just didn't do it for me. But I still highly recommend this series to everyone.

As MC books go this one has a lot going for it, it’s hot and really dark in places. I didn’t understand some of the H actions, they seemed to contradict what he said to what he did. He went as far as to fight his Pres not wanting to leave her side, but then takes off suddenly leaving her unprotected and completely alone without even telling his brothers. Just doesn’t make sense.

Rocket is such an emotional, intense read, and it completely pulled me in from the start. Violeta’s journey, from a frightened, abused teen to a confident young woman, was handled with care, and I loved seeing how much of that growth came from Rocket’s steady, patient support. Their relationship is layered with tenderness, restraint, and simmering tension, which made their connection feel earned and genuine.

Rocket himself is the ultimate protector. Yes, there’s an age gap, and yes, he struggles with it, but that inner conflict made his character even more compelling. He’s rough around the edges, loyal to his MC, and absolutely ruthless when it comes to keeping Vi safe. The no-cheating and guaranteed HEA made it easy to sink into the story and trust the journey.

I listened to the audiobook, and once again Umi Markkanen did an amazing job. Her narration added so much depth and emotion, especially to Rocket’s protective instincts and Vi’s vulnerability and strength. She really brings the story to life.

This book has dark moments, but it’s also filled with heart, healing, and fierce devotion. If you enjoy biker romances with strong emotions, protective heroes, and powerful character growth, Rocket is a must-read (or listen).

A Change of Plans

Harley Wylde Hades Abyss MC bk 02 Rocket

In the first book of the series, Spider, we were introduced to Violeta Gomez and her sisters and some of the horrors they endured while in their father's care. While those events are referenced, they aren't revisited. Instead something equally bad rears its ugly head. This is your warning to check your triggers.

He may have been manipulated a smidgen, but I love how Jesse "Rocket" Jones finally gets his act in gear even if things go off the rails. Heck, he goes off the rails a couple of times. Even so, I do like him, her, and their battered and bruised but never broken story. This is far from a rainbows and unicorn ending, but it's befitting them.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator is the talented Umi Markkanen. She always does a good job with accents and the different male / female roles.

Love the narration of Umi Markkanen

Violeta even though she has been gone through a nightmare of a life, being abused and tortured by hundreds of men by her father, from a young age. Violeta is still a kind and caring person. Since moving in with Rocket she's has been falling in love with Rocket. Rocket is attracted to Violeta the first time he saw her but she's only seventeen so he never acts on it. He hides his feelings but his brothers see it. Once eighteen Rocket and Violeta become engaged. The guys who used her take her , but Rocket and find them and cause them pain.

This one is told in the POV of a trafficking survivor who is wise beyond her years, for the worst possible reasons.

Written in alternating, first-person POV.
Past tense.

It packs:

Bikers.
Rival gangs.
Danger.
Abduction.
Fresh starts.
Second chances.
Vengeance.
Lowkey br33ding vibes.
Mentions of m|sscarr|age.
Instalove.

Overall:
A quick, fast-paced read with lots of sweet moments and some suspense. Fun!

4 stars.

Excellent. Despite the age gap, this biker falls hard for his new charge and when trouble comes to the door he has to balance care and the need to pay back the ones causing his woman harm. He does the right thing in the end. Recommended reading

Rocket and Violetta are in a difficult situation. Violetta has been abused and was literally given to Rocket. Expecting the worst, Violetta finds the best and I love that. This book does deal with some sensitive topics, so make sure you read the warnings before listening.

I'm taking a break from Harley Wylde's biker series. Although the plots are interesting enough, I'm just sick and tired that every single one of the heroines (expect maybe one or two), end up knocked up by the end of their book. Basically all the heroines are popping kids like it's Christmas , playing "barefoot and pregnant" , almost never leaving their compounds. I can't seriously be the only one to want to see at least one heroine want to wait before having kids or not wanting them at all, and maybe even have a job and bring home her own money....

I really don't get why the authors of those biker series only focus on knocking up the heroines but never trying to help them get a life outside the compound, with a job that would give them some independence and the freedom of earning their own money and learning some professional skills...

Anyway. Taking a break from all those pregnancies and going back to other biker romances where they use condoms and the heroines have a life and a job and don't just play house and lean on their men for money. The authors have tried to create a few heroines that didn't want to accept the money and want to be kind of independent but in the end they always cave and once they are pregnant they just don't care anymore... it's frustrating.

We met Violeta and her sister’s a few books ago. Violeta is the youngest of them and is being taken care of by Rocket. Rocket has respect for her and would never to anything to hurt her. These two have feelings building up and not that she is older, she wants him to see her as something more than a kid. Rocket nothing more than to protect her but if anyone is to harm a hair on her head, Hell will be unleashed.

You have to love these guys. From the Dixie Reapers to Devil’s Boneyard to Hades Abyss. All these guys are older but they also protect these women like no other. This is why I fell in love with this series. Ok, now WTH! You will understand why I made that comment when you get to that part of the story. Serious, who does that and did you not think it wasn’t safe to do. That being said, Chaos is has been a real “PITA” with all the clubs. I like that we get to read about the other clubs. I sure soon we will be getting more stories about Reckless Kings next. Vi finally found her HEA with Rocket. And the stories are always steamy. I can’t wait to find out who is next.

Rocket is book two in the Hade’s abyss series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline entertaining. This story is Violeta’s story, whom we met in the previous book. Violeta is a seventeen year old girl that has been abused by her father and his men all of her life. When she is sent to America to stay with a MC, she is understandably scared. She soon learns that the bikers are not like her father of his men.
As months pass, Violeta develops feelings for Rocket, the biker she is living with. The only problem is, Rocket won’t make a move because of her age and his stubbornness.
The chemistry between Rocket and Violeta is clear to see and I liked the build up to them becoming a couple.
I really liked the ending to this book.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Rocket and Violeta's story has played out a smidgen in Saint and Spider. Violeta's past along with her sisters is one of pain and torture. Again Ms Wylde handles their trauma in a way that allows you to know the horror but insulates you from all the details. Violeta is the youngest but just like her sisters before her, she has a core of steel. She is so into Rocket, he is the only man she has ever been attracted to. When he keeps a distance between them because of their ages, she gets frustrated. Luckily he pulls his head out of his butt and shows her how he really feels. Too bad that things go sideways and Rocket is torn apart by his inability to keep her safe, even when it wasn't his fault. Their love is sweet, so darn sweet but the heat isn't missing between them either. I love the pure escapism that I find in Ms Wylde's books. I can open one of her stories and dive right in. Loved Rocket and I can't wait to meet more of the Hades Abyss MC members, I hope Bear gets a book soon!

This is such a great book. I love it! Violeta has blossomed into quite the confident young woman. Rocket is perfect for her. He worships her, and that's just what she needs.

Several characters from other series make appearances in this installment of Hades Abyss, I love interconnected series like Miss Wylde writes, it makes the books even better to me. There are also quite a few little nuggets about character's whose story has yet to be told.

My only complaint is that it's over all ready. I could have read at least 25 more chapters.

This book contained some triggers.

The 3 sisters story concluded here. Violetta's story was as beatiful and as heart wrenching as her other sisters. Still circling under the same topic of survival, inner strength, family, protective alpha, abuse, and coping. All blanketed under feelings of understanding and acceptance.

Though compared the last 2 books, this one a bit fell short. I found some inconsistencies in the story. Yet, the whole story still managed to fascinate me.

Really fantastic

Harley is branching out in with great new ideas for our MC brothers and sisters. This book was decidedly longer in a pleasant way. Loved Violetta's and Rocket's love story! Very intriguing what is coming up with the other clubs. Will it be Addie and Shade at the Devils Boneyard? Can't wait!

Perfect mix

Let’s talk sexy, dirty hot guys with a sweet girl with a bad past. Vi an rocket(Jessie) where perfect for each other even though rocket has stupid moments. This book gave me everything I love with the older man younger girl, the sexy biker who was a alpha and knew what he wanted but needed a push. Can’t wait for what’s next.

An amazingly captivating, entertaining, and heartwarming journey to go on with Violeta and Rocket. We go snippets of them in Spider and Saints stories which left me intrigued by them I wanted to know what was going on. This story captured my attention, kept me riveted, and left me with a smile on my face. I absolutely adore, and love Harley Wylde’s books. Can’t wait to read what comes next.

He’s a rocket man

Rocket and V, this is another book in the series of hades abyss but we get a couple of visits from the other mcs that Harley Quinn has written as it does all sort of intertwine but can be read as a stand-alone although I think I’m happy I’ve read most of the others,

Amazing story from an amazing Author. Loved the characters, dealing with real life issues. Puts a spotlight on human trafficking, and focusing on satisfying solutions without loosing sight of the story.
