Enjoy this fun, action/adventure-filled romp full of mystery, romance, and a little help from the Time Master’s friends.
Geralyn Beauchamp is a fantasy/romance/action-adventure/fractured fairy tale author who likes to spin whimsical yet epic tales! A book reviewer for five years, she read voraciously (why do you think she wanted to become a book reviewer? It was the perfect excuse to HAVE to read!) and, well, one thing led to another and now she's a best selling author on amazon's kindle. Her first book, Time Masters Book One; The Call, was actually written at the urging of author friends, most of whose books she reviewed. So, on a dare from Julia Quinn that went something like, "Oh c'mon, I know you can do this, I DARE YOU!" (It was a simple yet effective dare) Geralyn went on to write her first book. That was in 1995. After which she simply proclaimed, "I did it!" Just to prove she could, and then stuck said book in a trunk where it sat... and sat .... and SAT... until Christmas eve of 2007, when it finally hit the book store shelves. Better late than never.
When someone suggested she turn it into an e-book she did. But the original Time Masters she wrote back in 1995 was quite long, (so say reader reviews proving it) and she always wanted to give the story a little face lift. So into revision it went and the 2nd edition of Time Masters is what is available as an e-book as of 9/16/2012 on amazon.
Be watching for Time Masters Book Two; The Prophecy, coming this Holiday Season!
Geralyn divides her time between the Pacific Northwest and Northern California. Other than being a bibliophile, she's a yarn dabbler, of the string variety, coffee lover and chocolate snob.
I loved, loved this story about Dallan and Shona’s first assignment in the Time Masters series. This was such a fun one to read as they are going to Clear Creek a favorite fictional town of many readers. Plus their assignment is getting two favorite characters together as a Duncan and Cozette must marry, as she is not human, indeed these two are very compatible. So much fun, and out loud funny, and since it’s Dallan and Shona’s first time to time travel on their own and open the doors to travel through, and the first time he opens the door, well it’s hilarious. There is definitely a lot of time travel of course, lots of adventure, lots of fun, lots of craziness, lots of favorite characters in one of the wackiest towns in the west, and lots of aliens. This is a must read, but if you haven’t read the first three books in the Time Master’s Time Travel series you should read them first to understand it all.
I emensly enjoyed reading this captivating story of what "really happened" or behind the scenes of "His Prairie Dutches" ( Prairie Brides bk 3 in Clear Creek) through the eyes of the Time Masters. Love the characters dialogue that gave that needed comic relief during an action packed or dramatic scenes. Well written and kept me wanting more. I'm excited for the next book. Though this book isn't really a romance book more sci-fi with the undertone of romance, it did have a HEA so to speak. There were no cliffhangers but a hint of something to make the reader want and excited for the next story.
I really enjoyed the prequel to the "Prairie Bride" series by Kit Morgan, the story behind how Duncan and Cozette meet. It puts all the pieces together for the new "Dear Mr." series by Kit Morgan with Duncan and Cozette in them. The continuity is great throughout and the characters are great, however I didn't think the intensity was as high as other "Time Masters", Geralyn Beauchamp set standard high with previous books. I highly recommend this series. It is awesome.
I loved this story! I have wanted to be able to read this for a long time and it did not disappoint me. I highly recommend this story as well as the rest of the books in this series. Also check out Ms. Beauchamp 's alter ego Kit Morgan for wonderful historical western stories. Thank you Geralyn Beauchamp for another wonderful book!
So exciting!! I can’t wait for the next one. If you haven’t read the first three, I recommend you read them first. Such an awesome series. They also tie in with some of Kit Morgan’s series. I recommend you read those also. It’s hard to say which one is best to start with. They keep getting better and better.
This is a great story! So much going on. His Prarie Duchess by Kit Morgan (pen name for Geralyn Beauchamp) is the story about Duncan and Cozette. This is the same story told from a different perspective, and it is really good. Kitty (in this story) becomes a writer and writes the books by Kit Morgan.
Wow! I love this series! It has fantasy, romance, suspense, and good looking men! What more could you ask for. It makes me want to time travel to their home! A clean must read book!
I was unsure at first of reading this as I had already read “Kit Morgan’s” version. However I am so glad I read it! Such a great storyline, lots of suspense. Absolutely loved it!
I love this series. The time travel, with romance, mystery, and adventure keeps me coming back for more. The stories are riveting and full of suspense as well as showing a depth of romantic connection between the characters...love love love
Its book is a continuous story of their beginnings. About their first assignment. It gives more of a background into their world. The ups, down and everything in between.
So adventurous I loved it! Duncan and Cozette have to meet and be joined but there are always the bad characters trying to stop it both human and not. - Babs
I had such a fun, delightful time traveling along on Dallan’s and Shona’s First Assignment, the fourth title in the ‘Time Masters’ series – and we get to go back to Clear Creek for a visit as well. Two favorite authors (one person), two favorite series – I’m in book heaven right now. And I get the feeling that we’ll be returning again one day for more insight into one small town in the growing West of the 1800s, now that I’m looking forward to.
Just like the town of Clear Creek has grown and developed over several series now, the same can be said for the ‘Time Masters’ series… in that Dallan and Shona’s world is built story after story, and to step in mid-stream (so to speak) might be jarring for some readers. Oh, you could step in at First Assignment and enjoy yourself. But you wouldn’t get all the background, all that has brought this couple and their friends to this point. Some previous events are mentioned, but only in a general fashion. My suggestion? Just dive in and enjoy yourself, what you really need to know from either series is mentioned in some small way so you won’t be lost. But if you have the time, or if you’re like me and need to start from the beginning of any series, then you’ll enjoy seeing how Dallan and Shona began their epic love story.
It was fascinating to see a story that I’d enjoyed (His Prairie Duchess) from a different viewpoint, that of time travelers with a mission. It’s the same story in so many ways, yet there are nuances that enhance that original story greatly. Cozette’s and Ducan’s story was one that touched me when I first read it, seeing their love match from a different perspective was a very enlightening experience. I loved seeing old book friends with a different ‘eye’, and there were laughs, tears, suspense, and some adorable creatures to enjoy as well. (Loved the cameo as well! *wink*)
If you love a good Time-Slip, if you enjoy heading to the West when it was wild and untamed, or if you simply love a good love story – then everything you could possibly want and already enjoy can be found in Time Masters: First Assignment. I had a blast, and yes I’ve been vague for you should experience this firsthand. Pick this one up soon and get caught up in the adventure – I bet you’ll be hooked onto both series (if you aren’t already).
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
It's nice to read Duncan and Cozette's "backstory." There is a lot added that makes it much more interesting. Now, when do we get Kitty's story? Kwaku hinted that she, too, has something special about her in book one, The Call.
