Rate this book
This series includes:
A Cowboy Of Her Own: Roark Callahan lives a busy life running a ranch and riding bulls on the rodeo circuit so when a beautiful woman asks to follow him around to experience his life so as to write a piece for a western magazine, he reluctantly agrees. Priscilla Butler knows working alongside the incredibly sexy Roark Callahan isn’t going to be easy, not on her senses or her body since she doesn’t know the first thing about horses and bulls but she’s determined to write the best piece she can, and get it published. What she doesn’t count on is how charismatic this cowboy is or how much her heart becomes attached to him, his family, and friends.
A Cowboy's Heart: Devin Callahan lives a busy life running a working/dude ranch with his brother. He’s always kept his private life separate until a beautiful older woman arrives with her Hollywood actor boss. Willa Foster thinks her boss’s idea of spending a month on a dude ranch in Montana is crazy but he always gets what he wants. After seeing the activity list and gorgeous cowboys, she decides to enjoy this, except her attraction to a certain cowboy/owner far too young for her is making her crazy.
A Cowboy Takes A Chance: After an accident stole the love of his life and ended his bull riding career, Jaxon Callahan is doing the best he can, working the Bur Oak Ranch with his brother, and keeping to himself. Surrounded by beautiful women vacationing at the ranch, he ignores them because there can only be one woman for him and she is gone. Presley Reynolds has a decision to make about a great job offer but isn’t sure what to do. When a friend suggests getting away, she decides to do just that. Upon arriving at the Bur Oak Ranch, she discovers it holds a special attraction—the man she cared for in the ER two years ago and hasn’t been able to forget since—Jaxon Callahan.

Sexy cowboys forever

Susan definitely has a special gift to her writing. Each story was so well developed and written. Each love story had twists and turns but love was the only outcome.

Wonderful collection

I previously read all 3 of the books in this collection, but they were so good that when the collection came out I had to get it and vfc reread each book. Better this time because there was no wait and I went from book 1 to 3 in a day. Just love how this author writes.

A Cowboy Of Her Own:
I really liked both characters. Priscilla was a kind, strong and determined woman. She represents every quality in a female character I really enjoy reading about. She was determined to make sure her story was good and was willing to go the extra mile to get it. She was willing to put in the work to help Roark around the farm. All the while being funny and quirky at the same time.

Roark was the kind of cowboy that I think of when I think of a good man and cowboy. He was dedicated to his farm and his family. He was loyal, steady, protective and a provider. Even when he was giving his family a hard time, you could see the love he had for them.

The scenes I liked best in this book and there were many were the bantering scenes. Whether it was just teasing or sexy banter, it was fun to read. I enjoyed reading where these two were just enjoying each other and having fun.

A Cowboy's Heart:
What an emotional book this was. I felt like this could be a real concern for any woman past a certain age.

Willa is a woman who works in Hollywood and is an assistant to an actor. She is still dealing with the betrayal of her husband leaving her for a younger woman. She goes on location with her boss and is introduced to a man that interests her like no other, however he is younger than her. This was a continual issue through out the book. She wants Devin but yet is afraid to get hurt again because she is convinced that he will leave her for a younger woman.

Devin was the perfect man in my opinion. He was kind, generous, and helpful. You can easily see this by the way he runs his business and cares for his employees. He has his family over for some of the dances and they genuinely seems to care for one another. You know that he would be there in a heartbeat to help a neighbor out. On top of all of this, when he turns the sexiness on, I can't imagine any woman being able to resist. He rides the fine line of gentleman cowboy and dirty talking male very well. Willa was one lucky girl.

While I understood Willa's concern about the age thing, I felt bad for Devin every time she threw it in his face. She was confusing him with her ex and not really seeing Devin for the man that he is. I'm glad that Devin was willing to go for broke and get his HEA

A Cowboy Takes A Chance:
Oh Jaxon, what am I going to do with you??? I don't know if I should hug you or throat punch you.

I liked the character of Presley. She was a woman who was at a crossroads in her life and just needed some R&R and time to think. Thanks to a friends recommendation, she heads to Bur Oak Ranch where she ends up running into a man that she hasn't stopped thinking about. Presley fell for Jax the night she met him in the ER and he barely remembers her. When they meet again, Presley wants that chance with Jax and keeps putting herself out there. Though there were times in the book I kept wondering how much more can she take.

Jax is a man who still years later morns the loss of his wife. He has no intention to move on and hasn't until a certain woman shows up and he can't seem to get her off his mind. The thing about Jax was, he would run SO hot and cold towards Presley. Sexy times would commence and afterwards he would practically throw her out. His family tried to talk sense in him but he is one stubborn cowboy.

Jax is such a good man when he wants to be, he just needs to deal with his heartache and realize that some people do get a second chance at love if he's not too stubborn to realize it.
