A great historical novel about the Purple Gang in Detroit Michigan in the 1920's. Frankie is the young WWI veteran who is the main character. There is love in the air and family and the story of the Purple Gang. There really is a Harsens Island and the history is educational as well as entertaining. The Purple Gang is the mafia of the region.
I would recommend this story to anyone interested in a good story or in Michigan history.

Again with the editing but I enjoyed the storyline.
