An alternative story to the first novel in the Dragonian Series Firebolt. What if Herbert Watkins, Elena's guardian and father, made the ambush. How different would her life at Dragonia Academy be. In this novella, you get a taste of the events. Dragonian Series should be read before this novella.
Adrienne Woods is a USA Today Bestselling author, living in South Africa.
She’s been in love with books all her life and knew at the age of 13 that she is going to be a writer one day.
That dream happened in 2009 and she started to pen her stories down on paper. Firebolt, her debut novel, were released 4 years after that, and she hasn’t stop since.
She has written more than 20 novels and she is still busy writing more.
It was a cute story...regarding a what if timeline. It just went very fast. I think it would have been more interesting to make it a longer book from multiple characters point of view other than Herberts -like other minor characters to encompass more of the story. This short story takes you all the way up to the day of the claiming...that encompasses like multiple books -again I know it’s from an alternate time line but I think the story felt rushed - not enough detail. But I would give it three stars cause I wanted more when it was over and it was a fast read for me -kept me engaged.
I enjoyed reading this story A LOT!. It shows us (in a rather short way) how the story would of have started/continued if Herbert Watkins had still been alive.
I'm not going to lie, I expected a much longer story than this. Much more detail and maybe different p.o.v. 's throughout the story. It definitely would of have been much more exciting.
I would definitely recommend this if you're wondering about the what-ifs ?!
Finished this so quickly! If you’re obsessed with dragons or iron flame I think this series is such a good read. I found this series on a whim and was surprised at how obsessed I was with this whole plot.
That was a great change. I prefer the way it happened in the first books. This was an exceptional alternative though. Well written. I loved every single page.
…but it was waaaaay too short. 🥺 I would have loved it if this book was a full length novel, or better yet, a rewrite of all the books so that we would have two complete versions of this series.
