the ending?!? i stayed up till 8am just to finish this & then spent 20 mins crying my eyes out only to turn the page & read the epilogue. bitch i want my tears back!!! this book made me dehydrated for no reason wtf

yes this whole book was a fever dream and they deadass survived jumping out of a plane w/o a parachute and being shot 15 times but fuck me was this SO ENTERTAINING?!! like I have never had a plot grip me like this one there was so much drama the plot twists were crazy and I JUST HAD SO MANY EMOTIONS. I’m going to stop rambling rn it’s 3am but this was the DEFINITION of a mf rollercoaster I’m still trying to process what the FUCK that ending was...GO READ IT NOW BESTIES‼️I’m currently trying to wipe off my mascara which has gone all over my face from sobbing like shit xoxo

Even though the characters were written at the age of 24 it reads like the 17-18 YA child romance just because there's no really complex thinking of the characters. It alluded to the fact that they are incredible and the best assassins and what not but they are too perfect for their own good so it makes it a very depthless read. There was no need for "fuck" to be stated as much as it was like come up with some more creative curse words, it was just way overused in the first few chapters. There was about one sex scene but not even spicy unless sjm ch 55 is spicy for you. But it was just too cliche throughout the whole plot, and the fc and mc went so quick from I've been trying to kill you for years it's my life doing to I'm in love with you and would die for you.

This is one of the best Mafia books i’ve ever read. Love enemies to lovers? try this book. it’s genuinely good. The two heirs, the best assassins of two mafias have tried to kill each other for two years. When the russian mafia threatens to kill them and their family, they’re forced to work together. Let me just say, this book is VERY entertaining.
It has many twists and turns. The main character is a female badass who is a literal queen. This book left a few tears down my cheek(not full on sobbing). The end is really unexpected. Honestly, please give this book a try, it’s on wattpad for free. It genuinely is enjoyable.
Though i have to add, i hated the part where the main characters started singing.. like are they in a mafia musical ?

This is so bad I wanna give you a 0 but that’s not possible so I give you a 1.
Anybody that says that this book is great they’re lying.
This book had so much potential and it makes me mad because it was ruined by bad writing. It felt rushed and the pacing was just off which I will get into in a min.
So the book is about the girl name Allegra Grey the daughter of this mafia leader and Ace De Luca( which should’ve been the first red flag because why is every male lead in a mafia book named is Ace de Luca) any who Ace de Luca is from a rival Mafia. So you can guess Ace and Allegra are born enemies. The plot goes that Ace was sent on a mission to kill Allegra and Vice versa. If you haven’t guessed already they both failed and they’ve been trying to kill eachother for 8 years. ( now for them being the best two mafia assassins or w.e you would’ve thought somebody would’ve been dead already but I’ll continue) over those 8 years they have grown to hate each other to the point where the thought of other makes them angry….you get it?
Now I feel like the author was trying to go for the “there is a thin line between love and hate" mess, I for one just don’t think it true which is probably why I had such a problem when, as soon as both of the mafias were forced to work together suddenly every Ounce of hate that Ace and Allegra had for each for a span of 8 years suddenly just disappeared? I mean they were trying to un alive each-other and suddenly after one dance Ace can’t stop thinking about her? And he’s in love?
I feel as though if you were going with the enemies to lovers trope that the book would be better off as slowburn(now I know a lot of you can’t stand slow burns but it just makes sense). But what doesn’t make sense that they hate eachother one chapter and the next they’re in love and can’t stop touching each-other ?
But that’s not the worse of it, I feel as though the author just covered up the bad writhing with smut or sexy scenes to make up for it.The characters were just cliche,boring and cringe. It felt like a 15 year old wrote this book.

LIKE WTF friendship goals. this was the first wattpad book i have ever read and i cant say i regret it. there were so many 'gen z' moments i loved, even though there was the lack of 'professional'. overall the book was great. (i literally got every tiktok reference and music reference.)

This book is the best book I’ve ever read in my entire life so exhilarating it’s so good like I read it back in 2019 and oh my days it has been my favourite book ever since I read it when it was free I watched the author bring out the chapters it was amazing every inch of it was chefs kiss 10/10

i personally liked this book: the action, the enemies to lovers and the twists and turns...
the only problem is that i think it moves too fast. i’m a slowburn fan, so i was kinda disappointed on that point but then again it's a wattpad story so maybe it was a bit predictable 🙁
HOWEVER that doesn't take away from the fact that this book is great! it's really good and I don't regret buying it!

one of my favourite books ever, there’s a perfect amount of everything, couldn’t be more satisfied tbh. The final chapters had me sobbing 😭😭 and the fact that i read this with in 24hrs speaks VOLUMES.

i have been finding so many wattpad books on here damn… anywho i’m not giving the book five stars because there was such unrealistic things happening in the book(besides the whole mafia romance part) like them surviving jumping out of a flying plane??? like i’m pretty sure you would die from that. I did love the main characters and the enemies to lovers trope was pretty well done in this book. also ace’s brother is the best.

I read this a while back but I didn't know if it was published so I didn't review it on Goodreads. Is it actually possible to love a Mafia Romance this much. I loved Allegra and Ace like no other couple they were so damn awesome. Allegra was so badasssssssss it was just amazing. To everyone who loves a romance where the female lead is not a defenceless damsel in distress, this is definitely the book for you. Very steamy and I honestly have no words, this book should seriously get an award, yes it's accessible on Wattpad. What's better than having two people constantly trying to rip each other's throats apart all day and night, attempting to assassinate the other one, than going on a road filled with danger and ignited passion, am I right? Read this a while back as mentioned earlier so I don't remember all the details. What I do remember is loving the book so much, glad I read it definitely worth the read.

one of my wattpad favorites! I know this book has gotten popular over time, but holy smokes, it’s always been my favorite mafia read BY FAR on wattpad.
The author does a fantastic job at writing, but also at the concepts that she chooses to address. I love that the female MC is a real BAD ASS BITCH, and isn’t afraid of anything.
There’s a HUGE plot twist in this book that tore me to pieces, but then put me back together again, only to tear me again.
I spent a good chunk of the last few chapters CRYING my eyes out, but my heart was so freaking full (of hurt and happiness) at the end.
I won’t tell you what happens, so you must read this book!!!!! I love love love Ace De Luca (this Ace is my favorite Ace De Luca by far) and of course, Allegra.

Okay this book was not realistic at all but I guess that's what I loved about it. This book is SO entertaining!!! I loved the marriage scene at the beach -- just the two of them (after literally like almost dying), I loved the scene when they jumped out of a plane without a parachute, there were so many plot twists the whole book is just so damn enjoyable.
If there's one thing I love the most, it was the enemies-to-lovers.
I almost cried at the ending when I thought they were dead but nope by the end of the book I was shook from the plot twist.
I give it a 4.2 because I really enjoyed it and although it isn't the BEST book, it still has a special place in my heart now it's a paid story too but I'm glad we can still read it with coins.

second mafia book I’ve read on Wattpad... I am disappointed. Many people recommended this book on Wattpad and due to “hate-to-love-relationship” type I might like it. But I WAS WRONG. I mean I love Allegra personality because she was a bad bitch but the storyline went TOO FAST like I know people said “it’s been years so it’s normal” well I know it is. But still, I, as a reader still found it weird to read.
and also when Allegra dancing in that abandoned place while Ace playing piano... I just wanted to skip that part so bad, it was cringe.

I loved that book! If your looking for a good enemies to lovers with a major plot twist in the end I definitely recommend reading Over my dead body! The lead protagonist woman, Allegra Grey is everything we're seeking for: strong, dynamic and the heir of the mafia, what happens when for some reason she has to stay under the same roof along with her rival Ace de Luca?
