I despise Marcello Morano.
He’s nothing but a filthy rich, mafia bad boy… (or so I’ve heard)
So why can’t I get him off my mind?...

He’s mind-numbingly gorgeous, with off-the-charts sex appeal.
I feel something for Marcello that I’ve never felt before.
What is this…lust? No, it can’t be. I wouldn’t lust after a criminal… would I?

His lifestyle may be putting his precious daughter (my favorite student) in danger and I can’t just stand by and watch.
I couldn’t live with myself if anything ever happened to Gia.

But when I come face to face with Marcello Morano, my whole world gets flipped upside down.

Now, suddenly none of the rumors about his mafia involvement matter anymore.
It doesn’t matter that his dark past scares the hell out of me and his current reality may scare me even more.
It doesn’t even matter that I could be risking everything to be with him.
All that matters now is him. Just him and the secret I’m carrying as a memento from a passionate night in his arms.

But is Marcello’s dangerous lifestyle more than I can handle?

From contemporary romance author Alexa Hart – a standalone romance complete with a protective, bad boy, single dad that will make you HOT! And of course, a Happily Ever After ending!

Enjoyable Mafia-lite story

Marcello is the first book in the new Mob Daddies series by Alexa Hart. I enjoyed this story and the characters Abby and Marcello, along with cute little Gia. Abby is a first grade teacher at Winston Elementary Private School and one of her students is Gia. Gia's father is Marcello and boy oh boy he is sex-on-a-stick!!! They have an insta-lust for each other when they meet even as the meeting does not go very well. But a week later and she is back at his house again and there are sparks flying between the two of them which results in a steamy encounter. Not all goes well and there are a few bumps along the road which cause some drama. But there is a surprise from their first bedroom encounter which makes an appearance when Abby believes she is sick. Will she tell Marcello or will she decide to exclude him? What will Marcello's reaction be when he hears the news?
This was an enjoyable book with a nicely developed story-line, not a dark Mafia more like Mafia-lite, and interesting characters. I would recommend this book to other readers.

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Abby is a teacher bent on protecting her student. She meets student’s father by barging in the house and accusing him of violence. Abby is drawn to Marcello and can’t stop thinking of him. Their relationship is hot and cold with lots of passion.

Alexa Hart has written a 5-star book that has both Abby and Marcello dealing with their intense attraction for one another. Abby is a first-grade teacher at Winston Elementary Private School and Gia, one of her students gives her a picture that upsets her. She can't get the picture out of her mind, so she goes to see Gia's father. When she sees Marcello for the first time, she feels an attraction to him and the meeting doesn't go well. She accuses him of being in the mafia. He gets upset so she leaves. It is a week later and she is getting ready to go visit her parents, but she can't get the way she treated Marcello out of her mind. She goes back to Marcello's home just so she can apologize to him. He is surprised to see her again and asks that she wait on him since he is in a meeting. He comes back and the attraction between them is off the chart and they neither one can fight it, so he takes her upstairs and sleeps with her. Abby tells her best friend about it and her friend gets upset with her and tells her that he is in with the mafia. Abby and Marcello start seeing each other and are going fine until they are to meet for dinner and she shows up and waits for an hour but Marcello doesn't show up. His driver tells her that something had come up and that Marcello would not show and he takes her home. Marcello shows up later telling her that a deal went wrong, and he got in the middle of it and that it would never happen again. Abby tells him that he will and that she can't do it, she tells him to leave, Marcello asks her not to break up with him but she again tells him to leave and that she doesn't need him. After Marcello can't get Abby to answer her phone, he calls her best friend and tells her what happened and asks if she will go and check on Abby. Abby tells her that she will be fine as soon as she gets over the flu. Her friend asks what she feels like and Abby tells her, but her friend asks if she could be pregnant. Abby tells her no, that she was on birth control. Her friend tells her they are not 100%. Abby says she will go and see her doctor the next day if they can get her in. Her doctor tells her she is in fact pregnant. Abby's friend tells her that she needs to call Marcello and tells him about the baby.
Can Abby get past the fact that Marcello's adopted father is the head of a mafia family?
What will Marcello do when Abby tells him about the baby?
This was a wonderful book that will keep the reader on the edge of their seat waiting to find out what happens.

This book is amazing! Marcello and Abby meet when she arrives at his house to speak with him about a drawing his daugher Gia has made in class. She has heard rumors about his job and assumes the worst. He sets her straight and she leaves a bit hot for him. Right before Thanksgiving break, she's back to apologize again and the two end up in bed together. This starts a hot and steamy relationship between the two but his adopted father, Stefano, is a mafia boss and his visit to Abby's apartment frightens her. She's angry when he goes away on business but back in time for Gia's Christmas play, the two seem to be back together. She spends Christmas with them and everything seems perfect. Until it's not. They have a date for New Year's Eve that he never shows up for and she goes home drunk and angry. The drinking continues at home and when he shows up the next morning very sorry, and very bruised and battered she decides she's had enough and she kicks him out. The next few weeks are hard for them both but things turn around when she has to see him when she finds out she's pregnant. He's thrilled and the two manage to accept the love they have for each other and he promises her forever.

Abby is a first grade teacher at Winston, a private school funded by wealthy parents. When her favorite student, Gia, turns in a disturbing drawing Abby takes it upon herself to go to her father to show her concern. What she didn’t expect to happen was the insatiable attraction she developed for Gia’s father, Marcelo.
Marcello is the appointed attorney for the Rossi family. After the tragic loss of his wife, he pulls out all the stops to keep his daughter protected. When Abby shows up at his house, showing him the drawing that concerned her so much that she paid him a visit, he didn’t expect to have the feelings hit him so quickly.
As their relationship grows, secrets are unveiled. Will Abby be able to handle the truth and will their love conquer all her fears?

I loved this story by Alexa, she developed both characters so smoothly. You could feel the pain, the fear, and the love of both characters. I found myself a little sad to reach the end because I just wanted to keep seeing how their happily ever after progressed. I hope Alexa writes more “light” mafia romances like this in the future

ONE AMAZING THRILL RIDE!!!
Batter up! Alexa lays the base, lines the arrow and plows the target with such zeal and gusto, blazing a path and fusing this baby together fluidly. Securing the field, rending the rules, thrusting this baby into the eye of the storm, blasting it into a tailspin with stunning impacts. Action, drama, danger and suspense rule the roost in this thrilling storyline and gripping plot that blasts this jewel to life spectacularly. Add distress, intrigue and turmoil along with a boatload of trouble and you have one excellent adventure. Grappling with the intense chemistry and undeniable attraction, forging an soul deep connection as emotions run rampant, charging ahead full force blasting this gem to staggering heights. The realism and authenticity of the characters as their on point personalities blend and flow along with the graphically detailed scenes make it easy to interpret each scenario as they play off one another perfectly. Awesome job Alexa, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.

The story revolves around Abby, a teacher at Winston Elementary, a private school. Her favourite pupil is Gia, but rumours and gossip surround her father’s occupation...his links to the mafia. When a misunderstanding leads Abby to visit Gia’s father in person and confront him, she can’t help but feel herself stunned by his good looks and her attraction to him. He haunts her dreams until she visits him again a few weeks later to apologise for her outburst. Marcello is just as obsessed with Abby and their attraction incinerates the second time they meet. Every time they come together, their relationship deepens and Abby knows that she is getting slowly sucked into Marcello’s world despite her adoration of his daughter and her growing feelings for him. Despite being warned about what she is getting involved in, with her eyes wide open. Marcello is an excellent read that is well written with interesting characters and an engaging plot.

Abby is the first grade teacher of Gia, Marcello’s daughter. Abby has heard that Marcelo works for the mafia and is never seen at the school. When Abby comes across a disturbing picture Gia drew that day in school she couldn’t let it pass. She went to his house to confront him. Things aren’t always what they appear as and rumors can be just that. BUT do either of those apply here. Abby’s attraction to Marcello was instant but she asked a too personal question. About a week later she goes back to his house to apologize and I’m just gonna say things didn’t go according to plan, things got heated. One heart ache after another she’s done until she gets a surprise she definitely wasn’t expecting. Can Abby get over the fears she has, over the surprises he tells her and can she forgive and forget the heart aches or will she call it quits and be completely done with him. Recommend Reading!

This book was just okay for me. Abby was a first grade teacher at a fancy private school. Marcello was a never before seen parent of a student in her class and also a rumored mafioso.

Aftet she and her bestie find a sort of gruesome drawing from his daughter, she heads to his house to confront him. She was not expecting to be attracted to him or for him to be so good looking. She confronts him and then after a heated exchange she leaves.

She and her friend break into his file and discover that he is not in the mafia. She goes back to his house to apologize. Their relationship ensues from there.

Her friend Felicity becomes judgy McJudgerson and hyper crytical. Felicity doesn't believe in relationships and therefore is extremely negative about the whole thing. I think she was just jealous because Marcello never showed up for her class when his daughter was in kindergarten.

Heat level was 🔥🔥🔥.

This was a well written book that hooked me from the very beginning in terms of believable, strong characters, good plot with lots of twists and turns, and easy to read prose. It was also quite hot! Alexa knows how to craft a story that has it all including romance and mystery. Marcello is a strong, sophisticated, sexy, tender, hard-working, intimidating, charismatic protagonist. Abby is a sweet, thoughtful, caring, smart, beautiful, and loving teacher who confronts Marcello about his care and treatment of his daughter, Gia, a student in Abby's class and her favorite. Sparks fly and so begins the play between Marcello and Abby as she insinuates herself into his life. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and could not put it down until I had finished.

Alexa Hart has another fantastic book on her hands. The characters are intense in everything they do and the story is full of love and passion.

Marcelo's love and loyalty is to the man that raised him and his family. Understanding the exact business he is in and what that means for the safety of his family.

Abigail, Marcelo's daughter teacher, has caught Marcelo's eye and now she is his. Not truly understand what it means to be involved she struggles to be with him and her feelings.

As this is a great story and I loved each line on the page, it did leave me with thoughts and questions such as.... did Marcelo's really believe it was a car accident or is it why he is so protective. And Abigail why is she so upset when he had to leave to go out of town, at least he told her.

This is a wonderful read that I was drawn into and was kept engaged until the last page

Abby is deeply concerned by a drawing that one of her students Gia has done and decides she needs to confront the father involved she has heard rumours that he is part of the mafia but when she confronts him he of course denies it. Later she realises that she was rude so she returns top apologise this time they both act on the deep attraction between them and end up in bed They start a relationship but when he stands her up on new years eve and sends his driver to get her she starts to rethink the relationship he swears he will never stand her up again but she tells him she doesn't believe him and walks away. Can they have a future together and how will he handle her news when she gives it to him You will have to read to see

This was an intense mafia romance that also pulled on your heart strings a little. Abby is a first grade teacher who teaches at a private school run by a mob boss. She has a special place in her heart for Marcello's daughter who she think is involved in the mafia. Even through a lot of misunderstandings they try to make a relationship work. Their chemistry is intense and steamy...when together they cant get enough of each and its very explosive. Some things brought up throughout the story I wished was explained more but all in all it was an enjoyable read. It would have been better if the author would have included an epilogue.

I loved Alexa Hart’s writing style and was instantly sucked into this story. It was sexy, a little dangerous, and just enough drama to keep me entertained. The only reason I gave it three stars was because I was let down by the ending. I didn’t feel like anything got resolved and didn’t believe they ended up happily ever after. If the story had continued a little bit longer and made me believe something was going to change to make their future work I would have given this four or even five stars.

Absolutely fantastic! It is a well written, consistent, fast pace and emotionally deep romance. The story line is well developed with scenes that are very intense, funny, engaging, and witty. There is passion, suspense, twists and turns, and suspense. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is potent. A riveting read and is strongly recommended!

The author has again given us characters that we can connect with. Marcello is a lawyer for some unsavory people and when Abby, his daughter's teacher, confronts him with questions about his lifestyle, things go awry. They have instant attraction, but may not have what it takes for a relationship.

My...oh my! I am still reeling from this book! It was absolutely addictive! I easily give this book five stars. Marcello Morano and Abby Greene had hot and steamy chemistry! I couldn't put the book down. This was a bad boy romance at its best. It is a must read! I highly recommend this book and author!

Good but no wow factor

I enjoyed it, however i didn't like the fact this is headlined as a mafia story, the H is several times removed from the actual life, the author went forward with some sub-plot that never went anywhere, (the ruby necklace) and the well meaning janitor, lots of sub-plot that went nowhere

In a world where the mafia, bad guys and murder are supposed to be a constant threat, Marcello and Abby can't resist boinking like rabbits whenever they are in the same room. The plot is thin and totally unresolved at the end, so I guess if you don't mind every issue being unsettled and Abby being a dimwitted doormat, you won't regret the loss of your $2.99 like I do.

Daddies

Abby and Marcello have one thing in common the love they have for Gia. One is her father and one is her teacher. They come together but he is the son of a movie boss. How can Abby see he is more then his job?

a little rushed but still a sweet story

The timeline and plot felt a little rushed. It was like you were getting an overload of information. A whirlwind romance. The story was very sweet though and all in all a good pallet cleanser
