We got to see the HEA for Kenan and Lotus in the short bonus epilogue and it was so them!

They were there to support each other in one of the biggest undertakings that they would take on independently and made sure that it would make them stronger as a unit.

e kenan ross continua sendo o homem mais perfeito desse mundo, o homem que sempre entendeu e compreendeu os limites da lo, sempre a respeitando e estando disposto a testar seus limites e entrar em um novo relacionamento por ela.

I love this bonus epilogue because it was an extension of Kenan and Lotus's love story. Lotus is trying to get her first fashion line together while living in San Diego and having a company in LA. Her best friends Yari and Billie run the business and other parts of the company. They decided to live JP and go out on their own after Billie and the man she thought she loved the CEO of the company had a final split. He and his wife had a new baby and she resigned from the company. Anyway, this is how Lotus was able to move in with her soul mate Kenan and his daughter and mother and start her new business and on top of that marry her soul mate. Kenan and her are definitely meant to be. Wouldn't mind reading a story where we find out if she and Kenan had a child. Was it in one of the stories I read lately that had her and Kenan on a cruise with other members of this crew of people. I love to read Kennedy Ryan books, maybe one day I will get to meet her and have her sign some or at least one of her books that I have.

So happy I can finally out this horrible end to a good series out of my head. This epilogue, like the actual book, was again pointless. How can just two chapters feel like 200 chapters. I was so boredddd. I still can’t understand why this book is rated so highly. A mystery that I will never be able to solve. Don’t even get me started on the constant Cardi B references in both the epilogue and the actual book. One of the worst books of 2022, for sure. Even though the year has just started, the point still stands. I highly doubt that I’ll pick up another Kennedy Ryan book. I dislike her writing style and I’m not a big fan of her characters. So happy that I pushed through the last book though so I could say I finished this book, if you could call it that.

Kenan is starting new chapter in his life. He is retiring so that he can spend it with the women he loves in his life. Lotus is preparing to launch her clothing line and Kenan has a lot of free time on his hands. He takes on the task of planning a dream destination wedding for his wildflower. “I have found the one whom my soul loves.” The perfect end to the best love story is an impeccable wedding. Kenan is Lotus’s gladiator and her gris gris.

Weirdly enough, I did not enjoy it as much as I did the others.

“Maybe I’m your gris gris now,” I say, my voice cracked with tears and awe.
He doesn’t ask if I’m reminding him of his words to me from before or declaring it to him right now, but his reply is in perfect harmony with either, with both.
“You are,” he whispers into a kiss of mingled breaths and promises, his fingers, his future locked tightly with mine. “And I am.”

Oh!! Kenan retires from basketball and she’s starting her clothing line. Yeah!! This dude with the help of her friends plan an awesome destination wedding! Honeymoon on a private island. Oh yes!! The soul ties these two have is unbreakable… real short read and so worth it.

Should this also before the Close Up, cause it all ties in.
