A.K. Evans is a contemporary romance author of over twenty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.

Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!

When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”Hearing his worried tone warmed my heart, and I wanted very badly to believe that it was more than him just being a concerned police officer. I wanted to believe it was something he felt because it was me.”✨
.
Lucy Stark is on the run. She’s made a couple wrong turns. One that landed her the path of a police officer. When Carter learns she’s new to town he makes it his business to show her the town. As they become closer, little do they realize the danger she was running from is closer than she thought.✨
.
If you love:
•Contemporary romance
•Spunky heroines
•Small towns
•Dual POV
•Police officer hero
Then this is the book for you!✨
.
This book was my first by @authorakevans and I enjoyed it! It was one of those cute and sweet, easy reads! And I mean that in the absolute best way! I was drawn in initially at ‘police officer’. I’m not going to lie. There’s something sexy about authority. Am I right?✨
.
While Carter was more on the sweet side while still being protective, I actually enjoyed Lucy’s spunkiness the most. She’s got strong opinions and isn’t afraid to voice them. And she knows how to go after what she wants. While theyre are still some emotion and drama filled moments- I feel this is mostly an easy and lighthearted read. You can’t go wrong with an easy read to give you the warm hearted feels, especially here on this cold snowy day.✨
.
This is book 3 in the authors Road Trip Romance Series. It can be read as a standalone. The first two are available now and the fourth is releasing March 17th!

One wrong turn makes Lucy the witness to a crime and relocating to a town that holds happy memories to forget the bad ones and to escape the danger. The next turn she makes has her car getting up close and personal with Carter’s police car and crashing into his life

Instead of being displeased he is attracted and intrigued by Lucy and is determined that she won’t be a hit and run in his life or his heart and she feels the same way but first they must deal with her past.

These two were so perfect for each other between the heartfelt dates, the personal conversations and the chemistry between them.

One thing I really loved about this book was how Lucy and Carter first met. Literally one wrong turn turned out to be the right turn for Lucy. I loved their meet-cute, totally funny and sweet!

I absolutely loved how Carter knew right away what he wanted and went for it. And Lucy is one feisty lady, with a sassy mouth and attitude. And they were great and amazing together!

A sweet romance between a cute couple, with just enough suspense and drama, you'll love this one!

FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH ONE OF A VARIETY OF SOURCES. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

I was initially very skeptical about this new series, because there didn't seem to be much to connect them to one another, other than the theme of being in a different place in the US. This story though, had a lot of heart, and it was one I thoroughly enjoyed!

I loved Lucy! I loved her spunk, her resourcefulness, and her energy! Carter was a great compliment to her, and I really enjoyed how he didn't want to change her at all! Most other characters were secondary to them, and I appreciated that fact. It made it much easier to connect with the both of the main characters.

The romantic suspense angle was great! I loved that it was there, though I would have appreciated understanding more of the bad guys' motivations for their actions. All things considered, this was a very enjoyable read!

Dang, seeing what she saw, i would run, too! And to go to the one place you lived as a kid..... no left turns. That's crazy I couldn't imagine. But to hit a cop car of hot police man, hell yah. He was so nice, attentive, and caring. Fell hard for each other. Beaches amazing. I'm glad they got the guys from her home town Scary as shit shocked. She didn't tell Carter sooner. But she got better after the gunshot. And they got their happily ever after.

I love this author and I love this series. This is another great book. It’s not quite as good as the first two (and I’ll admit I skipped the third because the plot sounded way too intense and sad from the blurb) but still a really nice read.

Crime and love. Stupid laws lead Lucy into an unexpected officer. Will love be enough to save Lucy life? Wrong turns lead people in unexpected places.

One Wrong Turn, A.K. Evans’ newest Road Trip Romance is too cute for words!

After making a wrong turn, Lucy Stark saw the worst thing possible and left her life behind in order to stay safe, fleeing to her favorite place as a child, the Jersey Shore. Making yet another wrong turn, she drives right into a car . . .that just happens to be a police cruiser!

Police Officer Carter Downs lives to serve and protect. He never thought he’d fall for the gorgeous woman who ran into his car and then blamed the “no left turn” law, but he can’t deny that their connection is instantaneous!

Wanting to get to know her more, Carter offers to show Lucy around town and their romance begins. Falling hard and quick, both Carter and Lucy are all in, but it seems that Lucy didn’t leave her troubles behind like she thought she did. And, when it catches up to her on the Jersey Shore’s boardwalk, Carter will need to protect and save the woman he loves before her latest wrong turn in also her last.

Carter and Lucy together are just too darn sweet! I loved everything about them. Carter is such a genuine and all around good guy. And Lucy is vivacious and bubbly and quirky enough to be adorable. They seem to be exactly what the other needs. Lucy makes Carter laugh and relax and leave work behind in his off times. And, Carter is the family that Lucy has been missing since her parents died.

One Wrong Turn was just a sweet romance. But, it had enough drama and suspense to keep those pages turning quickly. Honestly I simply adored this couple. I loved they were just average people that randomly met and fell madly in love. 5 stars.

I want to start saying that I absolutely LOVED One Wrong Turn! Lucy, the heroine, and Carter, the hero, were my favorite yet, but the ending was just a tad to rushed for me. See, Lucy was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and she witnessed a crime which put her in the cross-hairs of some dangerous men. All because she got lost, like she's done so many times before. Lucy went straight to the police about what she witnessed, and it wasn't too long after that she got a note, and she left town that day. She ends up on the Jersey Shore, and after being there almost a month, she gets in an accident, yeah, she hit a police car, and it changed her life for the better. Carter, said police officer, was the definitely of drool worthy HOT, and Lucy was struck crazier than normal. Her particular brand of crazy really entertained me, keeping me laughing like a crazy person myself, which was totally part of her charm. Carter definitely wanted to pursue it, and it didn't hurt that they had crazy chemistry shooting sparks everywhere. Lucy & Carter start off on a beautiful journey together, but there's still that whole situation she witnessed hanging over her head. She thinks the men can't find her, and even more ironic, Carter is sent out to find some men on the run who are possibly looking for a female witness. So, how does it all pan out?! You'll have to hit that one click button to find out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Title: One Wrong Turn
Author: A.K. Evans
Genre: Contemporary Romance
My Rating: 5 ++

*I received this wonderful ARC in exchange for an honest review*

REVIEW:

WOW! What an intense ride this was! One Wrong Turn, was my first book from this author and she did not disappoint. Crime, danger, romance: the perfect ingredients for a stellar book.

We meet Lucy—witness to a vicious crime after making a wrong turn. Scared and afraid, she decides relocating would be her best option; though with not many in her prospects. She runs to a happy place that holds more nostalgia than a sappy Hallmark movie. While on the run she meets Carter Downs; police officer in Lucy’s new town.

Carter offers to show her around his stopping grounds. They spend time together and soon things heat up. As the temperature rises between them, trouble invades their happy bubble. Will Lucy tell Carter why she’s on the run? Will the end up together with trouble so close to home?

One Wrong Turn is an easy, fun, enjoyable read with twists and turns. You won’t regret reading this!

Oh, how I’m loving this series. Lucy and Carter take us to the Jersey shore, the glories of non-self-pumped gas (something my family still misses since leaving NJ), and the hilarity of the Jersey Left. Granted, Lucy’s not thrilled with any of these things, and her irritation with jughandles sends her directly into another car...a police car, at that. Luckily for her, Carter is enthralled from the second she opens her mouth, and their relationship blossoms from there. Amid diner goals and forgotten dangers, they find love and fun together. The only problem? Lucy may have slightly forgotten danger, but danger hasn’t forgotten her, and it’s coming her way.

This story had a fun, easy feel to it that made for an enjoyable read during the holiday rush and stress. And Carter? Well, he just so happens to be the man Lucy didn’t even know she was looking for. Even better, Carter knows that he’s not letting Lucy go, no matter what comes their way.

After a wrong turn Lucy finds herself in real trouble. She is scared to her bones and decides to run. She runs to a place that holds happy memories. After making yet another wrong turn in her new town Lucy meets Carter Downs.

Carter is a police officer in Lucy's new town. After Carter finds out Lucy is new in town he offers to show her around. As they spend more time together they find that they like each other a lot more than friends.

As time goes on and Lucy and Carter grow closer, Lucy's trouble find her in her new town. Finally she tells Carter the real reason she ended up in his town. He vows to do everything to protect her.

Lucy took two wrong turns in a short period of time. One took her to trouble and the other took her to love.

“One wrong turn or was it? 4 stars”

One Wrong Turn is a sweet quick romance about a woman who sees something she shouldn’t because of a wrong turn and runs. Then she takes another wrong turn right into a police officer. That police Officer being Carter. These two fall hard and fast for each other. But is Lucy’s life still in danger because of what she saw?

One Wrong Turn was a good quick story that gave me the feels I wanted. I will say that it’s probably not the story for most with the instalove. With that said One Wrong Turn hit the spot and I cannot wait to see what A.K. does next.

I’m a sucker for insta love and men in uniform so I completely fell for Carter and Lucy’s story. These two were just the sweetest. Carter is amazing. He’s a police officer and just a great guy. Lucy is so vibrant and full of life and I found her completely endearing. Together they’re exactly what the other needed. They felt real and relatable and I was cheering them on the entire way.

Take a road trip, insta-love, feels, an awesome hero, and a page-turning story and you have One Wrong Turn by A.K. Evans. A sweet romance with an adorable couple and just enough suspense and drama to keep me glued to my kindle until the very end. 5 stars.

One Wrong Turn is the 3rd book in the Road Trip Romance Series. It can be read as a complete standalone.

This is Lucy Stark and Carter Down’s story. Lucy is a witness to a murder. Now she is on the run. She packed up and ran to the New Jersey Shore where she literally ran her car into Officer Carter Downs police car. Also, did Lucy run far enough?

Do you believe in fate? I bet Carter does! It was a fate-filled day the day that Lucy’s car ran into Carter’s.

If you love romances then you need to read One Wrong Turn! A true romance! 4.5 stars

One Wrong Turn by A.K. Evans is book Three in the Road Trip Romance Series. This is the story of Carter Downs and Lucy Stark. I haven't yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book. Lucy is on the run after being a witness to a murder this leads her to New Jersey shore and right into Carter Downs police car. This was a fun read that did have it drama of course with the killer hot on her trail. I hope to go back and read the other books since I enjoyed this one so much.

It was a really fun addition to the story that just made me love the characters more. The suspense in the book hit me. I knew something would be coming, but it still made me tear up. Such a great story! I was sad it was over.

I’m a huge fan of this author and I enjoy reading anything she writes. This new series is a standalone so although the books don’t interconnect the theme is still there. There was danger, intrigue and love all mixed in this book and it kept me hooked from the first page to the last. Good book and series.
