New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Jane Porter kicks off her brand new cowboy series with a modern twist on an old-fashioned way of finding a wife.
After the only woman Joe Wyatt ever loved marries another, the Montana rancher swears off romance. He's done playing the game. Only problem? He needs a wife, and kids he can pass the Paradise Valley cattle ranch to. So Joe takes the same no-nonsense approach to marriage as he does to running his family’s business...he places an online ad for a mail-order bride. The ad is a lot like Joe, straight-forward and to-the-point: Wife Wanted.
When Sophie Correia is left at the altar after her groom runs off with her maid of honor, she wants to get as far away from California and her dairy farming family as possible. Sophie doesn't need hearts and flowers, but she's fed up with men who can't commit. And at thirty, she's more than ready to start a family. When she comes across Joe's ad, she thinks she's found the perfect solution — head to Montana, get married, and move forward.
Can a contract for marriage lead to love, or will the arrangement cost them their hearts?
Born in Visalia, California, I'm a small town girl at heart. I love central California's golden foothills, oak trees, and the miles of farmland. In my mind, there's nothing sweeter in the world than the heady fragrance of orange blossoms on a sultry summer night.
As a little girl I spent hours on my bed, staring out the window, dreaming of far off places, fearless knights, and happy-ever-after endings. In my imagination I was never the geeky bookworm with the thick coke-bottle glasses, but a princess, a magical fairy, a Joan-of-Arc crusader.
My parents fed my imagination by taking our family to Europe for a year when I was thirteen. The year away changed me (I wasn't a geek for once!) and overseas I discovered a huge and wonderful world with different cultures and customs. I loved everything about Europe, but felt especially passionate about Italy and those gorgeous Italian men (no wonder my first very Presents hero was Italian).
I confess, after that incredible year in Europe, the travel bug bit, and bit hard. I spent much of my high school and college years abroad, studying in South Africa, Japan and Ireland. South Africa remains a country of my heart, the people, the land and politics complex and heart-wrenching.
After my years of traveling and studying I had to settle down and earn a living. With my Bachelors degree from UCLA in American Studies, a program that combines American literature and American history, I've worked in sales and marketing, as well as a director of a non-profit foundation. Later I earned my Masters in Writing from the University of San Francisco and taught jr. high and high school English.
I now live in Seattle and Hawaii with my three sons. I never mind a rainy day, either, because that's when I sit at my desk and write stories about far-away places, fascinating people, and most importantly of all, love. I like a story with a happy ending. We all do.
Let's face it....the title alone screams predictable. And you know what? That is fine by me. That said, while there aren't many surprises, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. The characters were my favorite part of the book. Not just the main H/h, but any secondary character that showed up made the story better.
I have read so many Montana Born novels from Tule Publishing that I'm a bit embarrassed to say I can't remember every character, every story. But in many of the books, we will get an on page visit or mention of past characters from past books. And that always puts a smile on my face. In particular, I have read many books by Jane Porter. Her writing is very relatable to me and I easily connect with her characters whether or not, we have commonality. This book was Joe and Sophie's story. The best part? There are two more Wyatt brothers that will get their chance at love. I am looking out for those books. I wonder what those premises will be.
I am not going to go into the specifies of this story as the blurb says it perfectly; as I mentioned earlier in this review, that a lot of the book is easy to infer. I most definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a refreshing, sweet story with likable characters and an endearing happily-ever-after.
This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)
Joe Wyatt gave up a successful rodeo career to run the family cattle ranch in Paradise Valley. His grandfather is getting up in years and said he needs help. Joe accepted that this was his duty as the eldest son. I liked his sense of responsibility but felt sorry that he had to make this sacrifice. Joe was lonely. He wanted a wife and children, but the ranch took all his time. He had no social life which is why he advertised online for a wife. When Sophie answered his ad, they made an agreement to marry for convenience and practicality. Now that she's in Montana, their relationship hits a few bumps. Their chemistry sizzles which unsettles Sophie. She's been hurt by an unfaithful fiancée. She's afraid to believe in a HEA, but she's fallen in love with Joe. I wanted them to share what's in their heart, but they're afraid to be open. I was pulled into their romance. Jane Porter wrote a wonderful story. Her characters are relatable. I was drawn to them and wanted them to find the love and happiness that they sought. It's always a special treat to visit Marietta and the Paradise Valley. I love the caring people who live here. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the Wyatt brothers find their future.
Porter kicks off a brand new series featuring the Wyatt Brothers of Montana with her usual honesty and charm and leaves readers satisfied with a beautiful romance to warm their hearts. Montana Cowboy Romance takes us along on a wonderfully romantic ride as Joe Wyatt and Sophie Correia meet for the first time through a Wife Wanted ad and slowly but deeply fall in love. Well-written, as always, and full of her signature complex characters and intense familial relationships, Montana Cowboy Romance is the perfect book to enjoy on a quiet evening. It's time to fall in love with Jane Porter's writing all over again and I, for one, can't wait to meet the other Wyatt brothers - hopefully soon!
Montana Cowboy Romance (Wyatt Brothers of Montana Book 1) by Jane Porter This story starts out with Joe Wyatt and he's just meeting Sophie in person at the airport. She had answered his wanted bride ad and they spent some time online getting to know one another. She moves to the nearby town because of the cold welcome from his ailing mother who lives with him at the ranch along with Grandad. She gets to know the area well as she has a lot of time on her hands as Joe is so busy with calving season and tending to the ranch and all house chores including cooking for everybody. She ends up friending a few and gets a job at the salon answering phones and making appointments. As her time with Joe comes to several weeks and she slowly moves back to the house with the reluctant agreement to allow his mom to help with wedding celebration.. They had each wanted just a quick and easy ceremony. They each have major secrets they have to share to clear the air... Enjoyed this read because it brought us to a familiar area and it's learning about people in the area more deeply. Love learning about the calving and all the details. Didn't see them staying together and love hearing of the detailed descriptions of the area. Can't wait to read more about the other brothers from this series, we had just met them for a quick glimpse. Can be read as a stand alone. Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
Who would have thought to write a modern day mail order bride book? Jane Porter, that’s who! This was a lot of fun, filled with all the missteps you can imagine due to a mail order wedding. I loved Joe, although there were times I wanted to shake him. Sophie was so sweet, though I felt like she was running away at first, rather than running towards something. And Summer was so awesome - best mom ever!
I voluntarily read a advanced reader's copy of a honest opinion
Montana Cowboy Romance by Jane Porter. A great start to a new series Wyatt Brothers of Montana. A story of mail order bride, family and coming together. Can't wait to read more by Jane Porter and more in the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series.
Joe Wyatt is a handsome cowboy that just doesn't have time to date. So his solution is to advertise for a wife! Sophie Correia is left at the alter but wants to get married and have a family. She is looking for a steady guy who is honest and a family guy. Sophie answers his ad for a wife. She has grown up on a dairy farm and with a large family so has some experience with the life he is looking for and the importance of family. Can they make this work? What about Joe's mother who thinks this is a terrible idea? Realistic obstacles that they have to confront and a great western setting.
I struggled to finish this one, in fact had to put it down for a few days, read a different book then come back to it. While the plot itself wasn't bad, the pacing was kind of weird on the one hand they rushed into a commitment, yet did everything else at a snails pace. Overall, an OK story. *I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Montana Cowboy Romance is a cute and lighthearted diversion. Nothing deep or terribly memorable, and that's okay. The title is a bit clumsy and some of the writing is unnecessarily repetitive, but the story is enjoyable, and the love scene isn't gratuitous. Because I'm a sucker for these western themed romances, I will likely read the next installment in the series.
I liked the main characters in this novel, but there was too much narrative writing and not enough dialogue which made the plot seem to drag on and on.

Her gaze scanned the crowd and, as she impatiently pushed a long strand of dark hair back from her forehead, she reminded him of a California movie star, young, glossy, pretty. Almost too pretty, and he felt a kick of disappointment because he had a sinking suspicion that she’d hate the ranch. The Wyatt ranch was remote, high in the Gallatin mountains, thirty minutes from anything. He cut through the thinning crowd. “Sophie? I’m Joe Wyatt.” She looked up at him, lips curving into a smile. “Nice to meet you in person, Joe Wyatt.” Joe Wyatt rocked on his heels, trying to stay relaxed as he waited for his soon-to-be bride to enter the terminal. I was privileged to receive an advanced copy of Jane Porter’s Montana Cowboy Romance. It is book #1 in her new Wyatt Brothers of Montana series. The story is set in and around our favorite town of Marietta, MT. Joe Wyatt is the oldest of Summer Wyatt’s four grown sons. Joe’s father was tragically killed when Joe was a young boy. Afterwards, Summer and her boys moved back to her father-in-law’s huge ranch. Summer, and the boys had a hard time adjusting to ranch life… life without her husband, without the boys’ father. All four boys grew up to be champion rodeo cowboys, but six years ago, Joe left his brothers and returned to the ranch to help his ageing grandfather, and his arthritic mother. It was his duty. He was the eldest… the ranch had been in the Wyatt family for generations.
Years before, Joe had been in love, but she would have never been satisfied living on a remote ranch away from town or city life. It ended badly, and Joe swore he would find a practical woman to marry. Enter Sophie Correia, daughter of a California dairy family. Sophie had recently been left at the altar by her longtime fiancé. Who needed love? Certainly not her. One online advertisement for a wife by Joe, and an answer by Sophie, and our story begins with an awkward first meeting at the Bozeman airport. What follows is their mutual attractions, their emotional walls coming down, a resistant mother-in-law, an all-knowing grandfather, a secret plan, more suspense than most espionage novels, unexpected love, and two weddings!
I thoroughly enjoyed this heartfelt story. I was “hooked” from the first sentence. It was great to be back in Marietta. The Main Street Diner, Married in Marietta, the Graff Hotel, and the Bramble House Bed and Breakfast all make appearances. Jane’s depictions of Marietta always soothe my heart. There is so much to love concerning this story… Marietta, the dialogue, the story lines, but especially the characters. Sophie is a gem: beautiful, compassionate, and strong-willed. Joe is John Wayne in print form… big, strong, hard-working, duty-filled, and not afraid to take a stand! Grandfather Melvin Wyatt… just think Charleston Heston, Gregory Peck, or Henry Fonda. Summer Wyatt has her physical struggles, but she proves she is no pushover.
I usually foresee most story lines as I progress through a story. That was not the case with this book. The ending was the icing on the wedding cake… or maybe it was the topper! I loved this story!
4.5 stars CW: disabiity, loss of a parent, infidelity, betrayal by family
Jane Porter is a comfort read for me. Her stories are filled with heart, as she explores the emotions of why her characters make their choices. In Montana Cowboy Romance, Porter takes the mail order bride trope to Montana. Joe is a rancher who just wants no fuss, no muss, get married without all the dating shenanigans in his small town, and have a family. And oh yeah, his mom and grandad better like her, too. Sophie is from a California farming area, which makes the Montana situation both relatable and completely different. She is looking to get away from her family, take control of her life, and oh yeah, get married without all the dating shenanigans, and have a family. Sophie answers Joe's ad and away we go.
It's an interesting premise to use in a contemporary romance, as it feels like an old fashioned premise. How was the west settled? Male settlers posted ads for brides. So doing this in the now well known Marietta, Montana-verse, is a fun choice. I think the premise works here. Both characters have reasons to follow this, and we have a little bit of a call back to the 19th century stories of how the bride and groom got to know each other after marriage, while the bride is helping out on the ranch. Sophie doesn't work on the ranch here but she does have to adjust to life in Montana. Joe's whole concern is will someone be able to handle his remote ranch. Add in living with his mom and grandad, how will that work out? He doesn't do much worrying about whether someone to can handle HIM. I think Sophie does a good job of reminding him of that part. Joe and Sophie both have to adjust to a new role, new expectations, how to communicate, and what happens when you fall in love with your new spouse.
The dialogue between the two characters is where this one really shines for me. I found every exchange to be smart and snappy and I wish there was more! It was where the story and the characters really came alive for me. Porter spends a little too much time in their heads in some sections, and that drags it down just enough for me to keep this at 4.5 stars. Overall though it's a very quick and enjoyable read. I'm looking forward to where this one goes with the other Wyatt Brothers.
I was an early reader for this one in development, and received an ARC from the publisher at completion. All opinions are my own.
I loved returning to Marietta, Montana and the Paradise Valley for the start of the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series. I’ve never hidden the fact that Marietta is by far my favorite fictional small-town location, and Montana Cowboy Romance shows all the quirks and joys of this town so very well.
Both Joe and Sophie have been burned badly in the love department, and both really want a no-nonsense, convenient marriage because they each want the same things in life (for the most part) – and that includes someone to respect, like, grow old with and definitely kids. Love is not required since love cannot be trusted and simply hurts far too often, but like is good enough. Since romance is out of the question for them a tried and true method of years gone by – the mail order bride – takes on a modern twist with Joe placing an ad and Sophie answering. No messy emotional strings attached, complete need and necessity prevail, right? Well… love happens, real, lasting love happens when least expected and this couple is about to be sideswiped by emotions neither was looking for in a town where love is always just around the corner.
I had such a good time with Montana Cowboy Romance. Joe is the strong, silent type but Sophie knocks him for a loop early on. Sophie is spunky and stubborn and determined to find her place with Joe, his family (who aren’t helping much at first) and this town she’s falling for fast. I liked them individually, they caught fire together. This one is an emotional, enjoyable introduction to the series – and now I’ll be waiting for Montana Cowboy Christmas (which can’t come fast enough for me). If you love a good old fashioned mail order bride story with a modern setting and a few twists then you’ll want to get started on the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series… today. Definitely recommend to any reader who loves a good love story – especially necessary for anyone who has a love affair going on with Marietta, Montana.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from Tule Publishing. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
When two people have been hurt by love but want a family and marriage, what do you do next? Get practical and advertise for a spouse, of course. That is just what Joe Wyatt does. His ranch is remote and he has no time to go looking for romance. Besides, he already tried that, and it ended badly. Sophie Correia is used to the business of farm life: she grew up on a dairy farm in Central California. Her life imploded when her fiancé called of the wedding and married her sister. She is done with romance, hearts, and flowers. She just wants a husband to commit, honesty, and a family, so becoming a modern-day mail order bride is a perfect solution. We all know what happens with best-laid plans. As these two get to know each other, emotion is bound to get involved. Throw in Joe’s grandfather and mother, along with his former girlfriend’s sister, and you have a wonderful cast of characters. Joe and Sophie work through so much emotional baggage and as practical as they try to be, there is no getting away from emotions. I loved watching them negotiate their relationship and future while dealing with Joe’s Mom’s resistance, and Sophie’s family drama on their way to what they hope is their happily ever after. Montana Cowboy Romance is the first in Jane Porter’s new Wyatt Brothers of Montana series and it is the perfect start. I love returning to Marietta and Paradise Valley, Montana and revisiting characters that are like old friends. If you haven’t read Porter in the past, this is the perfect introduction to her work. Curl up in a cozy spot with your favorite beverage and transport yourself to Marietta in this well-written novel that will grab you from the first page. I can’t wait to see what is in store for the rest of the Wyatt brothers. Thank you to the publisher for an advanced copy. All opinions are my own. #ReadzTule #TulePublishing #MontanaCowboyRomance #WyattBrothersofMontana
It all started with a “Wife Wanted” ad placed by Joe Wyatt in which Sophie Correia answered. Joe was tired of his mother asking when he would marry and have a family. He didn’t have time for dating and it was hard to meet women when he spent most of his time working on his family’s cattle ranch high in the Gallatin Mountains overlooking Yellowstone River. His previous relationship ended because the girl didn’t like living so far from her family, friends and the excitement of town. When Sophie answered Joe’s ad, Joe thought she was perfect for the businesslike arrangement he was seeking. Sophie came from farming family, so Joe knew she would understand how hard ranch life could be.
Sophie wanted a new start far away from California. Far from her family and ex-fiancé who broke her heart when he betrayed her. Sophie didn’t plan on falling for Wyatt, but it happened, and it happened fast. But life wasn’t exactly as Sophie had pictured it. Wyatt’s mother and grandfather didn’t want anything to do with her and she didn’t get much alone time with Wyatt. The days were full of frustration and tension for Sophie and Joe, especially when Joe’s mother decided to start planning their wedding. It will either make them or break them.
This was such a good book and the perfect start of a new series. I really enjoyed seeing how Joe and Sophie worked through every obstacle that was thrown in their path until they finally got their happily ever after. I look forward the books that will follow this one and learning more about the Wyatt brothers.
This book is Montana Cowboy Romance: book #1 in Wyatt Brothers of Montana series. It is a brand a modern twist on an old-fashioned way of finding a wife.
Joe Wyatt is a Montana rancher. He loved a woman, and she ended up marrying someone else. He swears off romance and the game playing. Needing a wife and kids to pass the Paradise Valley cattle ranch, he takes a no-nonsense approach to marriage. He places an online ad requesting a mail order bride with a forward and straight to the point request: Wife Wanted.
Sophie Correia works on a family dairy farm in California. She was left at the alter by her groom. He ran off with her maid of honor, which happens to be her sister! She doesn't need hearts and flowers and she is fed up with men who won't commit. Being 30 years old, she is more than ready to start a family. The thinks she has found the perfect solution when she reads Joe's "want" ad. She can quit her job, sell her condo, move to Montana, get married and move on with her life.
When she arrives in Montana, she is a bit unsure how things will turn out. Joe seems straight-forward, but he also has a certain something about him that makes her heart flip flop. Joe is surprised when he goes to pick up Sophie from the airport. She is stunningly beautiful but he worries that this remote place might not be all that she could want.
Can their contract for marriage lead to love or will it break their hearts?
Such a great, fun, romantic story from the one and only Jane Porter. Her writing grabs you in from the first paragraph and once you start, you won't want to stop. Cannot wait to read the next in the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series.
Montana Cowboy Romance is the first of the new Wyatt Brothers of Montana Series by Jane Porter. The Wyatt Brothers are four with Joe, the main character of the first book as being described as “honest, hardworking, trustworthy”. He is all of those as well as handsome with an in charge type of personality that has decided a wife and family is in order for him. Sophie Correia needs a change of scenery after her fiance chose a different person in the family to love. With that character background comes a unique modern day tale of a mail-order bride. Of course, with email, texting and Face Time it is a different world now from the days of Sarah Plain and Tall.
My first thought was Joe is a man on a mission. No dating app for him, straight to the I want a wife business. This should be interesting. It turned out that it really was. Everyone had an opinion and a desire to slow him down, which is what was needed for Joe and Sophia to make a successful go at it.
The plot is not complex but so well done, it purely flows back and forth from Sophie to Joe, their feeling and their actions. It is the supporting characters, members of Joe’s family that provide the complexity. The descriptions paint images in your mind of the high country ranch outside of Marietta. I felt as if I was experiencing them along with Sophie as she did for the first time. Did I say well done; it is extremely well done. Wonderful beginning to the Wyatt Brothers Series.
4.5 Stars An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
**** I RECEIVED THIS BOOK FROM BOOK BUB AND TULE PUBLISHING FOR AN HONEST REVIEW ****
The title, cover, and synopsis. Joe Wyatt has left the rodeo circuit to run the family ranch and also work on getting over the women he thought he would marry, but she left town to marry someone else. Joe does the next thing someone would do and that is put an ad online for a wife. After receiving many requests, he makes contact with Sophie Correia. She was left at the alter when her fiancé, groom left with her maid of honor. She wanted to start over but in a new place and figured Montana would be the right place. When she arrives and meets Joe, she is taken with him by his good looks and by his wanting to do everything the right way. He gives her distance which at times she feels could be to much distance. The first few nights not everything goes well with his mother and she becomes more discouraged. Joe who is also feeling a disconnect must find a way to connect with Sophie. They both think that the other one is good looking and they each fall in love with the other one. It is just neither can express them to the other one. What makes this story different is when the one person she thinks does not like her his mother talks to her and helps her make that connection for her if she wants it. This turns out to be a really good story of two people that find themselves and then love when they think they each have lost both. A very good book with good characters and some funny scenes. I received this book from Tule Publication, gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com
I loved this story; reading it in one day!! Words fail to describe how much I truly loved reading Joe and Sophie’s story of a modern take on a mail-order marriage in Montana Cowboy Romance by Jane Porter, the first book in her Wyatt Brothers series. Placing an online ad for a mail-order bride gives Joe an opportunity to find a woman who could tolerate the isolation of living on a ranch, far from neighbors and town, who might be able to love him in the future, and have a family with him; children to pass his Paradise Valley cattle ranch to. Sophie was unsettled and in desperate need of a change. A few days before her wedding was to occur her fiancé called it off; only to marry her younger sister a few weeks later. Sophie is not a romantic, needing hearts and flowers. At almost thirty she is more than ready to start a family. Seeing Joe’s ad is the perfect solution; move to Montana from her home in California, get married, and move forward. Arriving in Montana, Sophie finds that life is not going to be as easy as she expected. This contract for marriage they have might lead them to love or it might just cost them their hearts.
Ms. Porter, an amazing story teller in her own right, wrote a wonderfully sweet, emotional and moving story that is definitely not to be missed. This story is filled with sexual attraction, fun dialogue, and endearing characters, giving Joe and Sophie a future they only dreamt of happening. I highly recommend Montana Cowboy Romance to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I never pass up an opportunity to read a book by Jane Porter. Her stories are replete with emotion, captivating characters, and an entertaining plot. Montana Cowboy Romance is the first book from her brand new series, Wyatt Brothers of Montana. This book may be enjoyed as a standalone.
Sophie Correia loved her life in California. Her job, fiance and family, provided her with purpose, love and happiness. Then it all fell apart and she needed to create a new normal for herself. Answering Joe Wyatt's ad for a mail-order bride seemed like the perfect way to get through her past and create a new present. So Sophie packed up all her things and moved out to Paradise Valley, Montana. After spending a week or so getting to know Joe, she moved into his home, where his mother and grandad welcomed her with very little fanfare.
Joe never thought he would find love again, that is until Sophie replied to his ad. She is smart, beautiful and easy to get along with. Joe thought their relationship would be more businesslike than emotional, but Sophie slowly weaved her genuineness into his heart.
I really enjoyed this sweet and sexy story. Ms. Porter's writing style continues to be effortless and easy to understand. Sophie and Joe are perfect together and I felt their connection almost immediately. Joe's grandad and mother add a nice interest to the story. Overall, a solid romantic read.
When I first started to read this book, it really reminded me of another book published by the same publisher from a few years ago. The setting is even the same. But the stories are slightly different. And yes, this is a fantastic, enjoyable story.
Joe Wyatt is a Montana rancher who needs to marry. His family ranch is pretty isolated and located high up in the mountains outside of Marietta. He was in love once but she decided she couldn't live the life Joe had to offer on the family ranch. He realizes he needs a life partner and goes about finding one the really old fashioned way that ranchers used to use back during the settlement of Montana. A mail order bride is Joe's answer.
Sophie Correia is a California girl who grew up on a dairy farm and was working in the agricultural industry. She was engaged to be married and was stood up by her fiance. And to make it worse, he ran off with her sister. Sophie is ready to leave and take a chance on a new life.
Sophie and Joe only meet in person a few days before they actually plan to marry. But of course, there are issues like Joe's mom and grandfather to contend with.
This is the start to a new series by the talented Jane Porter. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series as it comes out.
I was provided with a copy of this novel by the publisher in advance for a fair and unbiased review.
It’s sometimes hard to smile when life is challenging and life couldn’t be much more challenging than it is right now for many millions of people around the world. In this environment where we are isolated from each other, where friends are sick or dying or working so hard to care for people who are suffering, things that make you feel good, make you smile, make you enthusiastic about waking up in the morning are important and for me romance books do that in spades. This story, a fresh twist on the mail order bride trope, is sensitive but heartwarming and uplifting as well. Just perfect for the current climate of uncertainty. Jane Porter is a master storyteller and this story of two lonely people finding love really made me smile. I could see the self doubt that Sophie was feeling, her need to be part of a family after feeling as though her own had rejected her, and her need to be a valuable contributor to her new husband and his ranch. I could also see Joe’s conflict. As his mother said, “Men can be useless and clueless, and Joe is no exception.” It was so good to see him slowly awakening to the fact that his new wife loved him just as much as he loved her.
Montana Cowboy Romance is the first in the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series and is a great start. This is a story of mail order bride not looking for the feelings but life and love have other plans. Joe Wyatt is the oldest of four brothers who has left the rodeo circuit to return home and take care of the family ranch as well as his mom and grandfather. It's been five years since the love of his life left and married another, now Joe just wants a wife and kids without the emotional attachment so he places an ad for a wife. Sophie thought her life was planned out, she was set to get married and begin having a family that is until her fiance breaks off their engagement just before the wedding and marries her sister. When her family welcomes her ex into the family with loving arms, she feels betrayed and decides to start a new life by answering an ad for a wife in Montana. Neither expected anything more than comfort but there is an instant spark of attraction and as the feelings grow, they become more leery and confused that is until they realize that their feelings are shared. This is a heartwarming story with real emotions and engaging characters to entertain until the end.
This is the first book of the Wyatt brothers series, and also the first book I read by this author. This modern day “Mail Order WIfe” centers around Joe Wyatt and Sophie Correia who meet when Joe places online a “want ad” for a wife. Joe’s been hurt before in the matters of the heart, but since he wants a wife and children to leave a legacy to the future generation, he decides to forgo love and advertise for a wife. Sophie, whose heart was crushed and betrayed right before she was due to marry, answers the ad, leaving California for Montana. Neither is looking for love , but both want a spouse and children. But Sophie’s reception when she meets Summer, Joe’s mother, and his grandfather, was not what she had hoped for. Imagine if they found out the truth? Each with their own personal baggage attempt to overcome the obstacles unaware that fate has it’s own agenda. It was an entertaining story to be enjoyed in an afternoon of leisure. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
A brilliant book written by Jane Porter with a great cast of characters, in our lovely town of Marietta. It features all the great characters that we have come to love with a few new ones introduced and a whole lot of emotion.
Joe Wyatt has decided he wants a wife and he places an ad for one on the internet. He has a lot of women who answer but he picks Sophie. She sounds more like someone who would appreciate the ranch and would be able to handle the remoteness of it.
Sophie has her heartbroken by her ex fiance and her sister. She decides that she is going to leave her family behind in California and head to Montana since Joe picked her for his bride.
Once there, she has alot of emotions that she has to work through and so does he, before they can really start their marriage. Joe lives with his Mom (Summer) and his Granddad (Melvin) on their ranch.
Summer doesn't give Sophie a warm welcome, as any mother, she wants what is best for her son and Sophie has to prove to her that she is what is best for Joe.
