Monody is a unique poetry that explores repetition, word play, and geographical maps of Reno.
Monody was designed and set by the author on an IBM Selectric typewriter with Courier Faces 10 and 12. Printed by R.W. Stovall Printing, INC. (Reno) in March 1977.
William L. Fox was born in 1949, San Diego, and has lived in Reno since 1960. His previous collections are Iron Wind, Trial Separation, Election an Time by Distance. He is editor and publisher of the West Coast Poetry Review.
Monody is a strange poetry book. The lyrical writing leaves lacking in terms of uniqueness and deep thought, but aesthetically it is beautiful. Blue font paired with geographical maps of Reno, Nevada, the poetry book comes off more of an art piece.
