I borrowed Ultimate Risk ~ R.I.S.C. Alpha Team ~ Book 6, by Anna Blakely from the Kindle Unlimited Program.
Sean "Coop" Cooper and McKenna "Mac" Kelley as the two snipers on Alpha Team have been partners for seven years and for seven years Mac has kept a secret about her background and family from Mac. When her family contacts her and makes threats against Coop, she goes to try to take car of it herself. He follows her and the action begins in New Jersey and then moves to Texas where the threat follows her and Coop to Texas. The team comes together to help to brings about a happy ending. As they face danger, Mac and Coop realize they are more than partners and they are meant to be together to add romance to the plot. Wonderful happy ending with Coop's family.

I have been a fan of this series since book 1 but this book has to be my favorite by far!!! Not only does it have one of the team members but two. If you have read this series, you have been hearing little things about Mac and Cooper and now they finally get their book.
Mac was someone that I could understand. For most of the book, she does every thing she can, to push people away or to do things on her own. In some ways, this made her seem a little harsh. While I can understand why someone would think that, I didn't view her like that because you learn early on in the book what happened to her and why she lives the way she does and why she doesn't let people in. Everything she does is to protect herself.
You won't find a better book boyfriend then Coop. He is kind, generous, helpful but yet still very alpha. He has loved Mac for years and knows that she is pushing him away and he's not having it. Whatever she is facing, they face together whether she likes it or not.
What I liked about this book was the their friendship has already been established. You understand their role on the team with sprinkles of possibly more on the horizon. Coop is sick and tired of waiting, he wants to make Mac his in every way. They just first need to get through this.
Coop had some of the best one liners. Sometimes they were meant to be funny, other times very sarcastic but wonderful to read.

Waiting to read Ultimate Risk, book 6 in Anna Blakley's R.I.S.K. series, has been a long time coming and I am so glad it's finally here. This book concerns Sean (aka Coop) and Mac (McKenna), who are the final two members of the Alpha team to have their story told. If you're like me, you have probably read the author's blurb about the book. So I won't repeat any of that. Since you liked the blurb, you most likely found yourself wanting to know what others thought of it.
I found Sean and Mac's story filled with stubbornness, kindness, selflessness, sacrifice, brutality, disillusionment, fear, yearning, fierceness, honor, love, suspense, anguish, and hope. I started reading this book and found that I was so engrossed in it that I found myself upset at the reason I had to pause and do whatever it was. I couldn't get back to reading their story soon enough. The story starts out with a view of some people's past. Then the reader is brought to the current day. Sean and Mac find themselves not agreeing on a situation Mac needs to handle. Sean is an alpha male with the heart of a romantic and the spirit of a warrior. Somehow, my mind put a young Nicholas Cage in Sean's role. Mac is a strong, dedicated pintsize spitfire that has experienced more pain in her short life, but still can possess a soul filled with humanity, inner courage of a lioness and a heart carefully guarded. Sean and Mac end up facing her gauntlet of terror, not knowing whom to trust, except each other and their teammates. Will the two partners at work have a chance to be partners in life?
I highly recommend this book, Ultimate Risk, as well as the entire series. I look forward to Anna Blakely continuing her R.I.S.K. Bravo series. I was given an arc in return for my honest review, and now you have read it.

I've been anxiously awaiting Coop and Mac's story for a long time! Coop and Mac have been partners and friend's for years. They have both always felt more for each other, but never acted on it because they didn't want to lose what they had partnership wise. But when Mac has to finally face her past and put an end to it once and for all, Coop won't let her go it alone. Nor will he deny his own feelings for her any longer. With all the secrets of Mac's past and all the danger, will they make it out stronger than before, or will the secrets Mac has been hiding tear them apart for good?
This book didn't disappoint! I was really shocked to learn about Mac's past and all she went through at such a young age, but it definitely explains why she such a strong person, and why she doesn't back down from anything, I really admire that about her. And Coop.. oh Man. I love Coop so much. He can read Mac's personality, facial expressions, and her emotions like a book. He's a funny, laid back outgoing guy, but he will do anything for anyone he cares about and make sure they're happy and safe. I love that he was a jokester throughout the book, that made me love him even more and when he finally couldn't deny or hide his feelings for Mac and went all in, I loved that he was afraid in a way to tell her his true feelings, but he wanted to get them out and be honest and up front with her. The fact that their relationship starts with friendship just made it all the better for me. They already knew the important things about each other.
The only thing I wish would have been a little different throughout the book is that Mac would have been honest with Coop in her true feelings. I understand she was scared, but I think if she would have been honest with him that would have saved alot of trouble. This book was great tho, I loved their story and their characters were perfectly written!

This is book 6 in the R.I.S.C. series and while it can be read as a stand alone, I recommend reading the previous books first since these characters and their relationships with each other are all introduced in previous books. In this one we finally get Sean "Coop" Cooper and McKenna "Mac" Kelley's story!! Coop and Mac have been partners and friend's for years. They have always felt more for each other, but never acted on it because they didn't want to lose what they had. But when Mac's past has come back to haunt her, Coop won't let her go it alone. Nor will he deny his own feeling's for her any longer. But can they make it out safely and manage to find their own happy ever after?

This! I feel like I've been waiting for this since book one of this series. Was it worth it? Oh boy! Yes it was. Emotional turmoil surrounds these two right from the first page, we are taken on a ride of excitement, fear and love starting as Mac's past comes back to haunt them. It takes time for Coop to understand why she pushes him away and to understand her true motives. With the team backing them up and a few very happy moments in amongst the threats they are forced to confront her past so they can move into their future. Powerful story that contains sadness, happiness and violence but as always together this team are stronger than the odds stacked against them, this is family. Stronger than blood because they choose each other. I never feel my reviews do the justice o these books that they deserve, the effort and work put into giving readers such wonderful books to read by the author, I wish I could convey just how much enjoyment and love I get from them. Just how much I invest in getting lost in the characters and their story. I can completely and honestly reccomend this series, but read from the start, you need the background and build up to get the complete picture and understanding of all of the characters.

Another fabulous addition to Anna Blakely's wonderful RISC series with the added bonus that two team members feature in Ultimate RISC.
Mac and Coop have been work partners and friends for seven years, everyone has witnessed the sparks between them. Just as Coop decides now is the time to act on his feelings and beat down Mac's defences her past rears it’s head with an ugly vengeance. Mac is desperate to protect Coop and pushes him away while he is equally determined to claim her as his own but is he strong enough to live with the truth of her past?
You get a clear picture as to why and how Mac’s past shaped her and made her into the warrior she is. I loved her and Coop together as partners, friends and lovers. Coop is perfect, definitely a stubborn alpha but also funny, kind and sweet!
There is plenty of action, intrigue and twists to keep you guessing, heat, laughter, some alpha pride and the RISC family supporting throughout. Definitely a winner, I loved Mac and Coop's story and can’t wait for the RISC family to continue.

Well Ultimate Risk might be my favorite in the R.I.S.C. series! Coop and Mac have been part of the team since the beginning and everyone around them could feel the sparks between these sniper partners. When Mac plans to leave on a trip to her past Coop finally makes his move after being only her partner for the past 7 years. Coop wants a future with Mac and he knows that now is the time to start on that. The problem? Mac had a completely different life long before she met Coop and is he really up to the challenge of accepting the real Mac? Game on! I cannot give away anymore without ruining their story but know that there is action, tension, heat, humor and love until the very last page! It was told from dual POV and stands alone in the series but I do recommend reading those if you haven't.

OMG! This story was totally intense and heartwrenching! I am so glad to finally get to see Coop and Mac get their story told. Anna has been hunting about these two throughout this series. Finding out Mac's past was a little shocking to say the least. I had a sneaking suspicion that it was her uncle that caused all this heartache for the two lovebirds. The lawyer was a surprise too. I kind of liked him since he was nice to Mac - in the end, he got what he deserved. I had tears in my eyes when Max was shot and Coop thought he was losing Mac. I was overjoyed when Max recovered. I am happy that these for a second chance and was thrilled that Max proposed to Coop. I am happy that these two finally found their happily ever after! FANTASTIC job Anna! I would highly recommend this book! Can't wait for the next book!

The friendship and affection between RISC team snipers Sean "Coop" Cooper and McKenna "Mac" Kelley is put to the test. For Sean’s own good, Mac tries to resolve an old issue without Sean’s involvement but he’s not hearing that noise! Sean’s ready for their relationship to take on a romantic component. If that means standing at his woman’s side or in front of her, he’s there but standing behind her taking the lead is an affront to his manhood.
Unfortunately, this reader was over the outing quite early; to my taste the story bored, it was one note, one conflict that went on too long. Also, this reader wanted a sense of urgency, chemistry between the leads, a romance, suspense and action before investing in a romantic suspense outing but didn’t receive any of that.

It's time for Mac and Coop to become m9re than partners. The entire R.I.S.C team knows it and has even placed bets on it. Mac's past keeps her from making a commitment and Coop's past couldn't be more opposite. He's part of a big, loving family with parents who clearly adore one another. He wants that too. Mac unfortunately has no such role models and doesn't truly understand the dynamics. Now she's forced to relive some of her past with the passing of her uncle and a surprise bequeathment. But it's not that straightforward and suddenly Mac is in danger. Coop will and does protect her at all costs. The result? Mac finally gets the HEA she never thought was possible but not before almost losing it all.

Mac and Coop. Partners in work and life…great line and sentiment. Their bickering and picking has been present in all stories and now their chemistry is also romantic because Coop can’t let her get away regardless of her attempts to go solo for facing the issue back with her family. The danger is multifaceted and involves multiple people, some of who were a surprise. Jake, Trevor and Ryker all had a bit of a surprising role as they knew her secrets, but also embraced them and the why form the beginning. The themes of trust and loyalty were present for the entirety of the story and the difference in families extreme. The cliff was beautifully described and a perfect setting for this couple and those moments. A good read and addition to this team and series.

Two operatives from R.I.S.C, finally getting their story. Mac is too stubborn to accept help and it really hurts her partner, Coop. Everything is a lie and it's frustrating when your partner does not trust you. The book is intense from page one where someone's life can be blown apart completely if the lie comes out, even after all this time. They are barely speaking to one another. Family visits provide some healing opportunities but misunderstandings continue. I loved how it all came together in the end. I love this series and will continue to read this series and this author.

The relationship between Coop and Mac has been in the background of the R.I.S.C. series from the beginning. All of the team members are close, but these two have always been more since they are partners on the team. There has been an attraction between the two from the very beginning, but neither knew if the other felt the same way. Now with both of their lives in danger due to something from Mac's past, these two will do everything to keep each other safe. I loved delving into Coop and Mac's story! These two have been a favorite of mine throughout the books and I was excited to see them finally open up to each other beyond the veil as partners.

Anna has once again out done herself with this book and has your feels all over the place. Mac and Coop are absolutely AMAZING together once they actually let themselves give in to the feelings they have held for each other for years. It only takes alot of fighting, being vulnerable, letting go of past issues and forgiveness but....... then they also have the added benefit of doing all that along with trying to figure out who is blackmailing Mac, threatening Coop all while really targeting Mac and dealing with crazy family drama. This book has it all! You won't be disappointed, just make sure to grab some tissues and settle in cause you wont be able to put it down.

This is a Friends to Lovers Romantic Suspense, and this is the sixth book in the R.I.S.C. Alpha Team series. I have read the first five books in this series before picking up this book, but you can read this book as a standalone. Mac's character touched my heart, and I love her character so much. Her backstory is so filled with pain and so much family drama. This book pulled me into the story right from the start. There is a ton of action and suspense in this book. I really enjoyed getting to know all the characters in this series. This is a story where a woman learns sometimes family is not blood, and she also learns what love really is. I loved this book so much.

Best R.I.S.C book yet!
Coop and Mac, I have been waiting for this book, I knew this book would make my heart pound, did it ever! NOT even the secrets Mac has been keeping from Coop can break the bond between them and Mac is definitely keeping big secrets..this story had a twist that I never expected, it is full of Drama, excitement, a dash of terror, love and hope..Anna Blakely out did herself with this book..it really is a 5 star plus read, and I am already excited for the next book in the series Targeted Risk.

Ultimate Risk is the sixth book in the R.I.S.C series which I recommend reading in order. Ultimate Risk features Coop (Sean) and Mac (McKenna), two members of the Alpha team that have been partners for years. We’ve seen their sparks and chemistry in snippets throughout the other books, but now Mac’s past has reared it’s ugly head and pushes Coop and Mac to act on their feelings. I absolutely loved this book, it had it all: the heat, the suspense, the banter, the brotherhood, most of all the love.

Im not sure if this book was bad because of the writing, the plot or the fact that the author has no clue how to build anything that has emotional gravitas.
But like this book was not good. The characters were boring, the plot managed to be boring, everything just sucked. I'm very unsure about why we're getting books with heroines who are presented as total badasses but yet scream every time anything remotely dangerous happens? I get that might be a bit more real life, but I don't really want to read about it. DNFd at 30%
But like this book was not good. The characters were boring, the plot managed to be boring, everything just sucked. I'm very unsure about why we're getting books with heroines who are presented as total badasses but yet scream every time anything remotely dangerous happens? Mac and cooper
Mac and Cooper finally get together,I found some things in this one unrealistic,first of all and trying to not give spoilers name change at 16 under the counter and the army don't notice? Come on would of been better if the went to the army and told them the truth and how they wanted to join.they would of been happy to help one for the good guys.
Also coop was sleeping around in front of Mac if he really had feelings for her would he do that? And you would think Mac would be worried about being just another girl.

Coop and Mac
Coop and Mac finally get their HEA after being partners for 7 years. Love their dynamic. Boy does Mac have some secrets from her past. Her determination to fix her problems on her own got old fast. Everyone in RISC always acknowledged that you need someone to have your back. She knew better.
I love how protective Coop was and he certainly got put thru the ringer for love.
Once again there were too many grammar errors — all these books need some serious editing!

RISC #6, waited a while to have Mac and Coop's story, and whilst the premise of a deep dark secret from the past, putting pressure on the budding romantic relationship was an OK story, unfortunately for me, the stories in this series, all follow the same pattern, it is so predictable.
Bad guys catch up with heroine, beat/shoot/leave her almost dead - for us to be on tenterhooks until a miraculous saving...

Finally Coop and Mac's story... .they have been partners, best friends, they have always had each other's backs. Now they would be more. They would be lovers. It has been a long time coming. The chemistry they had was seen and known by the entire R.I.S.C. team. Mac's past has come back to present day. This book is amazing. So much action, suspense, and love. Will they get their happily ever after?

Anna Blakely does it again
Another great book in the R.I.S.C series I have already pre-ordered the 7th book in the series and can't wait for it to be released. I love how Anna makes her characters come alive in her books and I'm always sorry when I end to the end. Hopefully, she continues the series for a good long while. I would really hate to have to say goodbye to these wonderful characters.

I read, they school. Anna Blakely is always a one-click and Mac and Coop were #romancegoals in this newest R.I.S.C. book. These two have loved each other and when they finally come together it is worth the build up. Mac is so strong, and stubborn with an intense fear of love. But once she allows it, she loves full force. It was wonderful to see the whole team at it again, and can’t wait to see what is in store for Mike and the Bravo Team.

Wow, what a ride. Loved Coop and Mac. You get to know Mac in this story and her past. It's very intriguing, Coop has such strength and heart. This story has it all, heat, heart, humor, surprises, family and friends. I picked it up and couldn't put down. No spoilers here. Definitely recommend reading.

This is a strong series. Once you read one book you know you have to read them all. Mac and Cooper are partners who have danced around their attraction, but Mac has a reason why she keeps Coop at arm's length. This book has it all. It will keep you at the edge of your seat and has a twist that makes you gasp! 5-star winner. I received this as an ARC and voluntarily give my review.

Wow, this story literally starts with murder and you’re hooked. I couldn’t put it down once I started, it’s simply amazing. This story is a great addition to the R.I.S.C’s series and totally worth it. I love the chemistry between Coop and Mac and what each will do to protect the other.. You don’t want to miss out on reading this story because it rocks and is just Amazing.
